Non-Binary Cryptographic Functions for Symmetric Ciphers
This article explores the methods of mathematical description of regular nonlinearity replacement nodes, computing techniques for their design and evaluation of cryptographic indicators. Non-binary functions are also studied with the help of which we form regular nonlinearity replacement nodes. The results of a computational search for S-boxes using the proposed approach are presented. In terms of nonlinearity and autocorrelation, the formed replacement nodes are shown to have improved properties
Understanding the Liquid States of Cyclic Hydrocarbons Containing N, O, and S Atoms via the 3D-RISM-KH Molecular Solvation Theory
The 3D-reference interaction site model (3D-RISM) molecular solvation theory in combination with the Kovalenko–Hirata (KH) closure is extended to seven heterocyclic liquids to understand their liquid states and to test the performance of the theory in solvation free energy (SFE) calculations of solutes in select solvents. The computed solvent site distribution profiles were compared with the all-atom molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, showing comparable performances. The computational results were compared against the structural parameters for liquids, whenever available, as well as against the experimental SFEs. The liquids are found to have local ordered structures held together via weak interactions in both the RISM and MD simulations. The 3D-RISM-KH computed SFEs are in good agreement with the benchmark values for the tetrahydrothiophene-S,S-dioxide, and showed comparatively larger deviations in the case of the SFEs in the tetrahydrofuran continuum

Laboratorní studia reakcí iontů O+ a N+ s molekulárním vodíkem a jeho izotopology HD a D2 při nízkých teplotách
This work is focused on the laboratory studies of reactions of O+ and N+ ions with molecular hydrogen and its isotopologues, HD (hydrogen deuteride) and D2. The experimental studies were performed using a 22-pole radiofrequency ion trap in the temperature range from 15 K to 300 K. The temperature dependencies of measured reaction rate coefficients are presented for all reactions. Studied reactions are important for astrochemistry. The reaction of O+ with H2 initiates a water production sequence in the interstellar medium, and the rate coefficient does not change dramatically with temperatures in the covered range. The measured rate coefficients for reactions of O+ with H2, HD, and D2 are close to the corresponding Langevin rate coefficients. The reaction of O+ with HD has two reaction channels with products, OH+ and OD+. The ratio of rate coefficient of the OH+ production channel to the total reaction rate coefficient is close to 0.5 in the studied temperature range. The reaction of N+ with H2 initiates the ammonia production sequence in the interstellar medium. This reaction has activation energy on the order of a few meV, which is significant in the conditions of the interstellar medium. For reactions of N+ with H2 and its isotopologues, activation energies were determined from measured...Tato práce je zaměřena na laboratorní studium reakcí iontů O+ a N+ s molekulárním vodíkem a jeho izotopology HD (deuterid vodíku) a D2. Experimentální studia byla provedena pomocí 22-polové radiofrekvenční iontové pasti při teplotách od 15 K do 300 K. Teplotní závislosti měřených reakčních koeficientů jsou prezentovány pro všechny reakce. Studované reakce jsou důležité pro astrochemii. Reakce O+ s H2 zahajuje sekvenci reakcí produkujících vodu v mezihvězdném prostředí a rychlostní koeficient této reakce se dramaticky nemění s teplotou v daném rozsahu. Získané hodnoty rychlostních koeficientů reakcí O+ s H2, HD a D2 jsou blízké hodnotám odpovídajících Langevinových rychlostních koeficientů. Reakce O+ s HD má dva kanály produkující OH+ nebo OD+. Poměr rychlostního koeficientu kanálu produkujícího OH+ vůči celkovému rychlostnímu koeficientu je blízký hodnotě 0,5 pro celý teplotní rozsah, pro který byla reakce studována. Reakce N+ s H2 zahajuje sekvenci reakcí produkující amoniak v mezihvězdném prostředí. Tato reakce má aktivační energii v řádu několika meV, která hraje výraznou roli při podmínkách panujících v mezihvězdném prostředí. Anhedonia in the shadow of chronic social defeat stress, or When the experimental context matters
One of the core symptoms of major depression in human is anhedonia. For that reason, one of the main requirements towards experimental depression models is that they be able to demonstrate anhedonia in animals, that have been exposed to stressful events, and other behavioral changes attributable to a depression-like state. However, the results presented in the literature are contradictory: sweet solution intake, which is considered as a parameter of hedonic/anhedonic behavior in animals, responds quite differently to stressful situations in that it is either unaffected or increased or decreased. Different experimental designs used for the study of anhedonia in male mice exposed to chronic social defeat stress were tried to understand the reasons for so contradictory responses. Anhedonia appears as an abrupt reduction in sweet solution consumption in stressed animals and by failure to attain recovery after deprivation. However, it was also demonstrated that sucrose solution intake and preference strongly depend on the experimental context; that the possible critical factor may be prior acquaintance with the hedonic stimulus – or the lack whereof. Analysis of literature data and ours allowed us to conclude that the lack of a significant decrease in sweet solution intake in stressed animals is no evidence of lack of depression. This decrease is evidence of anhedonia only provided other symptoms of depression are present. Hedonic consumable intake can be decreased over various motivations, conditions or diseases, in particular, a high level of anxiety or pathological aggression

Objective: to comprehensively analyze the Doctoral dissertation “Theoretical and applied issues of counteracting the criminal exploitation of a human (criminological research)” by V.I. Kovalenko, successfully defended in 2017 at Dissertation Council of All-Russia Scientific-research Institute of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.Methods: dialectical approach to the cognition of social phenomena, enabling to analyze them in the historical development and functioning in the context of a set of objective and subjective factors, which determined the choice of the following research methods: formal-legal, comparative-legal, etc.Results: the author investigates the concept of the system of counteracting the criminal exploitation of humans, its structure, the main trends of criminal exploitation of humans and the possibility of optimal response of the state and the society to this phenomenon. The work focuses on the unconditional benefits of the study, primarily for criminologists studying the problems of combating criminal exploitation of humans. A number of the dissertation provisions are critically analyzed. The author makes the conclusion about the need for criminological assessment of the exploitation of humans without violence and suggests improving the proposals on forming the Conception of prevention of humans’ criminal exploitation. The reviewer expressed his position on the basic concepts and categories used in the dissertation research, such as “personal freedom”, “conceptual bases”, “criminal exploitation”, and reveals their vision in relation to the conducted research.Scientific novelty: the author gives a legal assessment of Doctoral dissertation “Theoretical and applied issues of counteracting the criminal exploitation of a human (criminological research)” by V.I. Kovalenko, reveals its main advantages and the provisions requiring additional scientific study or argumentation.Practical significance: the main provisions and conclusions of the article can be used in scientific and pedagogical activity when considering issues related to theoretical and applied problems of combating criminal exploitation of humans

Nanoscale-Resolved Surface-to-Bulk Electron Transport in CsPbBr3Perovskite
Describing the nanoscale charge carrier transport at surfaces and interfaces is fundamental for designing high-performance optoelectronic devices. To achieve this, we employ time- and angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy with ultraviolet pump and extreme ultraviolet probe pulses. The resulting high surface sensitivity reveals an ultrafast carrier population decay associated with surface-to-bulk transport, which was tracked with a sub-nanometer spatial resolution normal to the surface, and on a femtosecond time scale, in the case of the inorganic CsPbBr3 lead halide perovskite. The decay time exhibits a pronounced carrier density dependence, which is attributed via modeling to enhanced diffusive transport and concurrent recombination. The transport is found to approach an ordinary diffusive regime, limited by electron-hole scattering, at the highest excitation fluences. This approach constitutes an important milestone in our capability to probe hot-carrier transport at solid interfaces with sub-nanometer resolution in a theoretically and experimentally challenging, yet technologically relevant, high-carrier-density regime
