Multiple Human Face Detection Based on Local Genetic Algorithm Clustering Using Mobile iPhone Platform
This paper discusses the role of evolutionary computation in visual perception for partner robots. The search of evolutionary computation has many analogies with human visual search. First of all, we discuss the analogies between the evolutionary search and human visual search. Next, we propose the concept of evolutionary robot vision, and multiple human face detection method based on local genetic algorithm clustering. Finally, we show experimental results of the multiple human face detection using mobile platform iPhone platform to discuss the effectiveness of our proposed method
Indra Devi:The way of yoga of Krishnamacharya
This Master's thesis deals with the modernization and spread of yoga outside India, introducing the western society to a yoga that does not focus on meditation and release from worldly attachments, but is based on fitness, stress reduction and relaxation techniques. In terms of the modern development of yoga, one of the most important figures is Tirumalai Krishnamacharya (1888-1989), who had a profound influence on the development of yoga, with his emphasis on asana, or the physical performance of yoga postures. Transforming traditional yoga, Krishnamacharya's disciple, Indra Devi (1899-2002), adapted his teachings to Western society. The aim of this Master's thesis is: To analyse the changes that Indra Devi brought to the practice of Krishnamacharya's yoga in the West. In four chapters, the author presents Indra Devi's journey from Riga to India and later to Hollywood, making an incredible contribution to the development and spread of yoga in the world. The author shows the basic principles of Krishnamacharya Yoga to draw conclusions about what exactly Indra Devi is changing in this teaching and perception in general. In the second half of the paper, the author introduces the teachings and principles of Indra Devi's yoga and makes a general comparison between the principles of classical Patanjali yoga and the changes introduced by Krishnamacharya and Indra Devi. Author concludes that modern yoga has adapted to the different needs and preferences of practitioners around the world, from the dynamic and physically demanding Ashtanga and power yoga to the gentle and meditative restorative yoga. In addition to the physical aspects, modern yoga offered by Indra Devi incorporates elements of mindfulness, stress relief and holistic wellness, making it a popular choice for those seeking a harmonious integration of body, mind, and spirit. Indra Devi drew on ideas popular in her time about the human quest for freedom, peace, and well-being. The style in which Indra Devi addresses readers in her book’s introducing yoga is very simplistic and generalized. She deliberately avoids the use of complex terms that might require the reader to delve further into the Hindu religion. Instead, she uses terms and themes that are common in the 20th century. Therefore, it can be concluded that the hypothesis put forward by the author in the introduction of the work - "In order to gain recognition outside India, Indra Devi secularizes the practice of yoga by presenting it as an activity to improve physical well-being, with spirituality playing a secondary role" - has been confirmed. Keywords: yoga, Indra Devi, Krishnamacharya, yoga modernization, physical and mental well-being
INDRA electronics upgrade
The INDRA charged particle multidetector has been operating since 1993, and up to the first experiment coupling it with FAZIA performed in 2019 it has always functioned with the same electronics developed at the beginning of the 1990s. A major upgrade of the full electronics (both for data acquisition and power supplies) has recently been completed, in time for the next INDRA-FAZIA experiment, scheduled for April 2022. In this contribution we will present this new electronics

Indra: a public computationally accessible suite of cosmological N-body simulations
Indra is a suite of large-volume cosmological N-body simulations with the goal of providing excellent statistics of the large-scale features of the distribution of dark matter. Each of the 384 simulations is computed with the same cosmological parameters and different initial phases, with 10243 dark matter particles in a box of length 1 h−1 Gpc, 64 snapshots of particle data and halo catalogues, and 505 time-steps of the Fourier modes of the density field, amounting to almost a petabyte of data. All of the Indra data are immediately available for analysis via the SciServer science platform, which provides interactive and batch computing modes, personal data storage, and other hosted data sets such as the Millennium simulations and many astronomical surveys. We present the Indra simulations, describe the data products and how to access them, and measure ensemble averages, variances, and covariances of the matter power spectrum, the matter correlation function, and the halo mass function to demonstrate the types of computations that Indra enables. We hope that Indra will be both a resource for large-scale structure research and a demonstration of how to make very large data sets public and computationally accessible
