Continuity, Connectivity and Regularity in Spatial Diagrams for N Terms
Abstract—This paper discusses the role of continuity, connectivity and regularity in the design of spatial logic diagrams for N terms. Three specific diagrammatic schemes are discussed: Venn diagrams, Marquand tables and Karnaugh maps

Cytotaxonomic investigations on species of genus Narcissus (Amaryllidaceae) from Algeria
This paper provides new cytotaxonomic data on the genus Narcissus Linnaeus, 1753, in Algeria. Populations of seven taxa, N. tazetta Linnaeus, 1753, N. pachybolbus Durieu, 1847, N. papyraceus Ker Gawler, 1806, N. elegans (Haworth) Spach, 1846, N. serotinus sensu lato Linnaeus, 1753, including N. obsoletus (Haworth) Steudel, 1841, and N. cantabricus De Candolle, 1815, were karyologically investigated through chromosome counting and karyotype parameters. N. tazetta and N. elegans have the same number of chromosomes 2n = 2x = 20 with different karyotype formulas. Karyological and morphological characteristics, confirm the specific status of N. pachybolbus and N. papyraceus, both are diploids with 2n = 22 but differing in asymmetry indices. The morphotypes corresponding to N. serotinus sensu lato show two ploidy levels 2n = 4x = 20 and 2n = 6x = 30 characterized by a yellow corona. Some hexaploid cytotypes have more asymmetric karyotype with predominance of subtelocentric chromosomes. They are distinguished by orange corona and may correspond to N. obsoletus. Other cytotype 2n = 28 of N. serotinus was observed in the North Western biogeographic sectors. N. cantabricus was found to be diploid with 2n = 2x = 14, which is a new diploid report in the southernmost geographic range of this polyploid complex
Reproducibility experiments on measuring acoustical properties of rigid-frame porous media (round-robin tests)
Reproducibility experiments on measuring acoustical and related non-Acoustical parameters of porous media (round-robin tests)
A series of reproducibility experiments on the characterisation of acoustical parameters of selected samples of porous media is carried out on a range of porous samples in several independent laboratories in Europe and North America. The studied acoustical characteristics are the characteristic acoustic impedance and complex propagation constant. The data on the normal incidence, plane wave sound absorption coefficient is presented in this paper. The assessment of the related geometrical parameters required for model, namely the steady-state flow resistivity, porosity, tortuosity, viscous and thermal characteristic lengths and thermal permeability, will be discussed in the oral presentation. Detailed procedures related to sample preparation, installation are discussed together with data on the material property variation observed between individual material samples and laboratories.© (2006) by the International Institute of Acoustics & Vibration
Reproducibility experiments on measuring acoustical properties of rigid-frame porous media (round-robin tests)
This paper reports the results of reproducibility experiments on the interlaboratory characterization of the acoustical properties of three types of consolidated porous media: granulated porous rubber, reticulated foam, and fiberglass. The measurements are conducted in several independent laboratories in Europe and North America. The studied acoustical characteristics are the surface complex acoustic impedance at normal incidence and plane wave absorption coefficient which are determined using the standard impedance tube method. The paper provides detailed procedures related to sample preparation and installation and it discusses the dispersion in the acoustical material property observed between individual material samples and laboratories. The importance of the boundary conditions, homogeneity of the porous material structure, and stability of the adopted signal processing method are highlighted
Calibration and validation of the aquacrop model for the culture lettuce (lactuca sativa l.) under fertilization levels in pluvial condition
The search for decision-making tools is essential in order to control agricultural practices and plan for sustainable agriculture that respects the environment. To this end, FAO has developed an evaluation model called AquaCrop, which covers most technical routes, including fertilization. In this perspective, this study focuses on the AquaCrop model (v6.1) to calibrate it for the simulation of lettuce crop yields (Lactuca sativa L), under different fertilization levels for the trial periods (2015/2016) and (2016/2017). Four levels of fertilization were examined under rain conditions, namely T1 (0 kg N/ha), T2 (60 kg N/ha), T3 (120 kg N/ha) and T4 (180 kg N/ha). The model performance was evaluated using the coefficient of determination (R2), the square root of the standard mean square error (nRMSE) and the Willmott agreement index (d). The model calibration gave 0.64 < R2 > 0.98; 18 < nRMSE > 46.3; 0.78 < d > 0.96 by simulating canopy coverage and dry biomass. While, the validation gave 0.81 < R2 > 0.98; 5.6 < nRMSE > 25.7; 0.93 < d > 1 by simulating canopy and dry biomass coverage. During calibration and validation, the prediction error for the yield ranged from 11.55 to 11.78% and from 9.54 to 12.72%, respectively, indicating good model performance. Based on yield and dry biomass, the T3 treatment (120 kg N/ha) gave a better yield compared to other treatments, which was demonstrated by both experimental results and model simulations. These results show that the AquaCrop model could be recommended as a practical tool to better manage fertilization where its performance is poor
Diagrammatic Autarchy.
Abstract—This paper explores the notion of autarchy of diagrammatic notations for logic debated in the Germanspeaking world of the 18 th-century, especially as applied to linear diagrams invented by G. W. Leibniz and J. H. Lambert
