    Bu tez çalışması İBB Atatürk Kitaplığı Kütüphanesi bel-Osm-k.02668-01/ 06 demirbaş numarasıyla kayıtlı olan Said Kemalpaşazâde’nin yazmış olduğu Galatat-ı Terceme eserinin 6. Defteri üzerindedir. İlgili tez çalışması inceleme, metin, dizin ve tıpkıbasım olmak üzere dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. İnceleme bölümünde galatat kelimesi, galatat sözlükleri, yazarın hayatı ve eseriyle ilgili bilgiler verilmiştir. Metin bölümünde eser Latin harflarine aktarılmıştır. Dizin bölümünde 6. Defterde yer alan kelimeler alfabetik sıralanışına göre sıralanmıştır. Kelimelerin anlamaları, hangi dilden alındığı ve kaç kere tekrarlandığı ele alınmıştır. Son bölümde ise İBB Atatürk Kitaplığı bel-Osm-k.02668-01/ 06 demirbaş numarasıyla kayıtlı olan Galatat-ı Terceme Defter’inin tıpkıbasımı bulunmaktadır.This dissertation is about the 6th Notebook of “Galatat-ı Terceme” written by Said Kemalpaşazâde, which is registered with the fixture number bel-Osm-k.02668-01/ 06 at the IBB Atatürk Library. The related thesis study consists of four parts: review, text, index, and facsimile. In the analysis section, information about the word galatat, galatat dictionaries, the life and work of the author is given. In the text section, the work has been conveyed into Latin letters. In the index section, the words in the 6th Notebook are listed in alphabetical order. Moreover, the meanings of the words, from which language they are taken, and how many times they are repeated are discussed. In the last section, there is a facsimile of the “Galatat-ı Terceme” 6th Notebook, which is registered with the fixture number bel-Osm-k.02668-01/ 06 at the İBB Atatürk Library

    Synthetic lethality of flavonoids towards homologous recombination deficient cells through PARP inhibition

    2019 Fall.Includes bibliographical references.Flavonoids can be isolated from many different sources such as plants, fruits, and beverages and they have long been associated with various health benefits. Both in vitro and in vivo studies have shown potential anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-viral, and antioxidant activities associated with these compounds. Previously published research has shown that the anti-cancer effects of flavonoids on BRCA2 deficient cells can be attributed to a PARP inhibitory mechanism. Therefore, thirteen structurally similar flavonoids were screened and identified as PARP inhibitory flavonoids. Seven different cell lines: Chinese hamster lung V79 cells, its BRCA2 deficient derivative V-C8 cells, gene corrected V-C8 cells, Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) wild type cells, rad51D deficient CHO cells (51D1), Human colorectal adenocarcinoma cells (DLD-1), and their BRCA2 knockout cells (DLD1 BRCA2-/- ) were used to assess the degree of synthetic lethality due to PARP inhibition. Colony formation and doubling time assays identified selective toxicity in DNA repair deficient cells for the flavonoids Kaempferol, Myricetin, Quercetin, Theaflavin and Epigallocatechin gallate. A Sister Chromatid Exchange (SCE) assay indicated Kaempferol, Myricetin, Quercetin Theaflavin and Epigallocatechin gallate exhibited a marked increase in SCE rate, which is indicative of PARP inhibition. These results were confirmed via an in vitro PARP inhibition assay. This study identified Kaempferol as a natural PARP inhibitor leading to potential lethality to BRCA2 cancers. All flavonoids identified as effective PARP inhibitors had similar structural components: hydroxyl groups on the 5 and 7 position of the A-ring, another hydroxyl on the B ring in the 4 position, and a C-2,3 double bond (a 4-ketone function)

    The traditional model of protein structure determined by the amino acid sequence is today seriously challenged by the fact that approximately half of the human proteome is made up of proteins that do not have a stable 3D structure, either partially or in totality. These proteins, called intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs), are involved in numerous physiological functions and are associated with severe pathologies, e.g. Alzheimer, Parkinson, Creutzfeldt-Jakob, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and type 2 diabetes. Targeting these proteins is challenging for two reasons: i) we need to preserve their physiological functions, and ii) drug design by molecular docking is not possible due to the lack of reliable starting conditions. Faced with this challenge, the solutions proposed by artificial intelligence (AI) such as AlphaFold are clearly unsuitable. Instead, we suggest an innovative approach consisting of mimicking, in short synthetic peptides, the conformational flexibility of IDPs. These peptides, which we call adaptive peptides, are derived from the domains of IDPs that become structured after interacting with a ligand. Adaptive peptides are designed with the aim of selectively antagonizing the harmful effects of IDPs, without targeting them directly but through selected ligands, without affecting their physiological properties. This "target the target, not the arrow" strategy is promised to open a new route to drug discovery for currently undruggable proteins. (c) 2025 The Author(s). Published by Elsevier Inc.     Paris et Londres sont aujourd'hui deux métropoles dont l'identité est étroitement liée à la diversité. Malgré des évolutions urbaines différentes, elles ont accueilli à partir des années 60 des migrations en provenance de leurs anciennes colonies qui ont marqué leurs territoires durablement. En relation avec l'exposition du Musée national de l'histoire de l'immigration Paris-Londres. Music migrations (1962-1989), ce numéro explore cette histoire connectée des relations que ces deux anciennes capitales d'Empire ont eu avec les migrations post-coloniales et leurs effets sur les scènes militantes et artistiques. Paris and London are now two cities whose identity is closely linked to diversity. In spite of different urban trends, they have welcomed migrations from their former colonies that have marked their territories for the long term. In connection with the exhibition of the Musée national de l'histoire de l'immigration Paris-London. Music migrations (1962-1989), this issue explores this connected history of the relations these two former capitals of Empire had with post-colonial migrations and their effects on the militant and artistic scenes

    Depuis l'indépendance de l'Algérie, les migrations constituent l’un des éléments majeurs des relations franco-algériennes. Ce dossier analyse la situation de l'immigration algérienne en France et son évolution sur cinq décennies, mais aussi les enjeux de mémoires, les représentations des immigrés algériens et de leurs descendants dans la société française, et les émergences culturelles et artistiques liées à leur présence. Une “communauté de destin” se tisse progressivement, façonnant un espace culturel mixte de part et d'autre de la Méditerranée. En septembre, la revue publiera un deuxième dossier sur les conséquences de l'émigration sur la société algérienne. Since Algerian independence, migration has constituted one of the major elements of Franco-Algerian relations. The issue provides an analysis of the situation of Algerian immigration to France and its evolution over the course of five decades but also the issues of memory, the representation of algerian immigrants and their descendants in French society, and finally the cultural and artistic tenets that are linked to their presence in France. A ‘community of destiny’ progressively weaves itself, producing a mixed cultural space from the mediteranean as well as other backgrounds. In september, the review will be publishing an issue focusing on the consequences of the emigration on Algerian society
