Contemporary Algerian Literature of French Expression on Facebook New Language Practices Microfiction and Dematerialization of Writing
This study focuses primarily on the transformations of contemporary Algerian literature in French and its entry into the world of social networks, particularly Facebook. Through the analysis of several Algerian Facebook pages and groups available online, this research demonstrates the emergence of new forms of writing (microfiction, dematerialization of literary media) as well as the rise of self-publishing, where the author takes on the roles of author, publisher, and distributor.
It should be noted that this research also shows the evolution of language practices among Algerian writers through the integration of digital neologisms (hashtag, buzz, email, etc.), the adoption of an informal register, and the use of French infused with Algerian culture and languages.
The analysis of a significant number of texts written on Facebook pages by contemporary writers such as Ahcène Mariache, Belkacem Bouasria Ouldabderrahmane, Azouz Begag, Belhadj Tahar Aïssa, Yasmina Khadra, Lynda Chouiten, clearly reveals how digital social platforms have reconfigured the Algerian literary field by creating new spaces for literary production that negotiate between Francophone tradition and digital modernity, between linguistic norms and language creativity, thus opening up new horizons for a literature in direct proximity to its Algerian readership.
 
Non-explosion solutions for a class of stochastic physical diffusion oscillators
In this work, we are interested in problems that are related to the physical
phenomena of diffusion. We will focus on the theoretical aspect of the study,
such as existence, uniqueness and non-explosive solutions. We will weaken the
conditions imposed on the coefficients of the stochastic differential equations
(SDE) that model some diffusion phenomena of mechanics. The work will be based
on a general non-explosion criterion and we will obtain sufficient conditions
so that the solution for a certain class of diffusions does not explode. We
will construct Lyapunov functions that ensure the non-explosion of the
solutions. Two important oscillators, namely the Duffing and the Van Der Pol
oscillators, belong to this class. The Euler-Maruyama method is applied to
these two oscillators to give us a simulation solution for them.Comment: 12 pages, 4 figure
Diatomic Molecules in deSitter and Anti-deSitter Spaces
The Schr\"odinger equation for diatomic molecules in deSitter and
anti-deSitter spaces is studied using the extended uncertainty principle
formulation. The equations are solved by the Nikiforov-Uvarov method for both
the Kratzer potential and the pseudoharmonic oscillator. The energy eigenvalues
of the system have been derived analytically, and the exact expressions of the
eigenfunctions are provided in terms of Romanovski and Jacobi polynomials. The
impact of the spatial deformation parameter on the bound states is also
examined, with experimental results used to establish an upper limit for this

Nonlinear inverse bremsstrahlung absorption in magnetized laser-fusion plasma
The nonlinear inverse bremsstrahlung absorption (NLIBA) in magnetized plasma has been investigated within the framework of relativistic kinetic theory. Collisions are described by an improved Krook collision term that accounts for relativistic effects and the Landau microscopic collision form. The non-linearity considered in this paper arises from the anisotropy in electron momentum space in the plasma that is heated by an intense laser pulse. The absorption is explicitly expressed, under reasonable approximations, as a function of the plasma, laser pulse, and magnetic field parameters. Numerical treatment of the model equations shows that absorption increases with laser intensity but decreases with plasma temperature and laser wavelength. It has been shown that the polarization of the laser wave has a significant influence on absorption for high-intense magnetic fields used in magneto-inertial fusion (MIF) experiments. Nonlinear effects clearly reduce absorption for laser intensities comparable to the characteristic intensity, I0=me2c3ε0ωL2/e2, where me is the electron mass, c is the speed of light in vacuum, ɛ0 is the electric permittivity of free space, ωL is the laser wave frequency, and e is the elementary electric charge. Within the intensity I ≪ I0 and laser wavelength in the micro-meter range (λ ∼ μm), relativistic effects appear in the third order of absorption. These findings allow for the optimization of laser pulse parameters to achieve efficient absorption in MIF experiments
Diagnostic accuracy of physical examination findings for midfacial and mandibular fractures
Objectives: To assess the diagnostic accuracy of physical examination findings used to identify patients at risk for midfacial or mandibular fractures.Materials and Methods: A five-year retrospective cohort was constructed from all emergency department patients with a midfacial or mandibular trauma. The sensitivity, specificity, pre-test probability, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, positive likelihood ratio and negative likelihood ratio data was calculated for 19 and 14 physical examination findings for midfacial and mandibular fractures respectively. Computed Tomography and panoramic radiography were used as index tests.Results: A total of 1484 patients were identified among whom 40.4% midfacial and 33.4% mandibular fractures were diagnosed. Overall, specificity was found to be higher than sensitivity. Regarding midfacial fractures, high specificity was found for raccoon eyes, malar eminence flattening and all the findings that are related to palpation, the nasal, ocular and intra-oral assessment. Malar eminence flattening, external nasal deformity, nasal septum hematoma, change of globe position and palpable step-off had ad high positive predictive value and positive likelihood ratio. Regarding mandibular fractures high specificity was found for mouth opening restriction, auditory canal bleeding, intra-oral assessment related findings, palpable step-off, inferior alveolar nerve paresthesia, the angular compression test and chin axial pressure test.Conclusions: The diagnostic accuracy of relevant physical examination findings were identified for the prediction of midfacial and mandibular fractures. Clinical selection strategy for and evaluation of intra-operative brachytherapy in patients with locally advanced and recurrent rectal cancer
Background and purpose: A radical resection of locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC) or recurrent rectal cancer (RRC) can be challenging. In case of increased risk of an R1 resection, intra-operative brachytherapy (IOBT) can be applied. We evaluated the clinical selection strategy for IOBT. Materials and methods: Between February 2007 and May 2018, 132 LARC/RRC patients who were scheduled for surgery with IOBT standby, were evaluated. By intra-operative inspection of the resection margin and MR imaging, it was determined whether a resection was presumed to be radical. Frozen sections were taken on indication. In case of a suspected R1 resection, IOBT (1 x 10 Gy) was applied. Histopathologic evaluation, treatment and toxicity data were collected from medical records. Results: Tumour was resected in 122 patients. IOBT was given in 42 patients of whom 54.8% (n = 23) had a histopathologically proven R1 resection. Of the 76 IOBT-omitted R0 resected patients, 17.1% (n = 13) had a histopathologically proven R1 resection. In 4 IOBT-omitted patients, a clinical R1/2 resection was seen. In total, correct clinical judgement occurred in 72.6% (n = 88) of patients. In LARC, 58.3% (n = 14) of patients were overtreated (R0, with IOBT) and 10.9% (n = 5) were undertreated (R1, without IOBT). In RRC, 26.5% (n = 9) of patients were undertreated. Conclusion: In total, correct clinical judgement occurred in 72.6% (n = 88). However, in 26.5% (n = 9) RRC patients, IOBT was unjustifiedly omitted. IOBT is accompanied by comparable and acceptable toxicity. Therefore, we recommend IOBT to all RRC patients at risk of an R1 resection as their salvage treatment. (c) 2021 The Author(s).
