Maintenance and Update Frequency: notPlannedStatement: AEM data The holistic inversion methodology used to generate the conductivity model data is described in Brodie and Sambridge (2006). Information on how the layer conductivity grids, depth slice grids, floodplain slice grids and watertable slice grids were derived is included in Appendix 1 of the user guide for this data package. The AEM survey data were acquired and processed by the airborne geophysical survey contractor, Fugro Airborne Surveys. Details of the acquisition and processing are described in Farquhar (2008) and available from ABARES publications. DEM data The merging of elevation datasets for the River Murray Corridor AEM project was undertaken by Geoscience Australia. The data compilation is described in Brodie (2008) and is available from ABARES publications. Interpreted data products The methods used to compile and customise products to address salinity and land management questions are described in Tan et al 2009. Tan et al (2009) is included in this data package and is also available from ABARES publications. Additional metadata for some products are included in this data package, as described in the user guide. This GIS data package contains airborne electromagnetic (AEM) datasets and interpreted data products for the Lindsay-Wallpolla and Lake Victoria-Darling Anabranch survey area, as part of the River Murray Corridor (RMC) Salinity Mapping and Interpretation Project. The RMC project was undertaken between 2006 and 2010 to provide information on a range of salinity and land management issues along a 450 kilometre reach of the Murray River from the South Australian border to Gunbower, northwest of Echuca in Victoria. The Lindsay-Wallpolla survey area extends from the South Australian border to approximately 10 kilometres west of Mildura, incorporating Lake Victoria and the lower reaches of the Darling and Darling Anabranch river systems.
This metadata briefly describes the contents of the data package. The user guide included in the package contains more detailed information about the individual datasets and available technical reports.
The main components in the package are: AEM data and images derived from a holistic inversion of the RMC RESOLVE AEM survey; a composite digital elevation model (DEM); a range of interpreted data products designed to map key elements of the hydrogeological system and salinity hazard; and a series of ESRI ArcGIS map documents.
The AEM data component consists of grids and images of modelled conductivity data derived from a holistic inversion of the RMC RESOLVE AEM survey. They include: layer conductivity grids below ground surface; depth slice grids representing the average conductivity of various regular depth intervals below ground surface; floodplain slice grids representing the average conductivity of various depth intervals relative to the elevation above or below a surface that approximates the River Murray floodplain; watertable slice grids representing the average conductivity of various intervals relative to the elevation above or below the regional watertable; and AEM cross sections of conductivity versus depth along each of the flight lines. The holistic inversion AEM data are derived from the 'River Murray Corridor RESOLVE AEM Survey, VIC & NSW, 2007 Final Data (P1141)', available as GA product (GeoCat #67212).
The DEM data component consists of a 10 metre resolution composite DEM for the River Murray Corridor AEM Survey area, derived from airborne light detection and ranging (LiDAR) surveys, AEM surveys and the shuttle radar topography mission (SRTM) survey.
The interpreted data component is organised into product themes to address salinity and land management questions and to map key elements of the hydrogeological system and salinity hazards. An ArcGIS map document is included for each product theme. The products include: Blanchetown Clay; conductive soils; flush zones; groundwater conductivity; strategic extents and reliability; near surface conductive zones; near surface resistive zones; Parilla Sands; Quaternary alluvium; recharge; salt store; surface salt; vegetation health; and Woorinen Formation.
The RMC project was funded through the National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality, with additional funding from the Lower Murray Catchment Management Authority (CMA), Mallee CMA, Goulburn-Murray Water and the Murray-Darling Basin Authority. The project was administered by the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry through the Bureau of Rural Sciences, now known as the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences (ABARES). Geoscience Australia (GA) were contracted to provide geophysical services to manage the AEM system selection and data acquisition, and to process and calibrate the AEM data. The AEM survey was flown by Fugro Airborne Geophysical Services in 2007 using the helicopter-borne RESOLVE frequency domain system. The Cooperative Research Centre for Landscape Environments and Mineral Exploration was sub-contracted through GA to manage the interpretation and reporting component of the RMC project

The translocation of golden perch, Murray cod and Australian bass, into and within Western Australia, for the purposes of recreational stocking, domestic stocking and commercial and non-commercial aquaculture

    No full text
This discussion paper has been prepared to provide information to assist in assessment of the possible impact of the translocation of golden perch (Macquaria ambigua), Murray cod (Maccullochella peelii peelii) and Australian bass (Macquaria novemaculeata) into and within Western Australia, for the purposes of recreational stocking, domestic stocking, commercial and non-commercial aquaculture. In assessing the translocation of any aquatic species, economic and social benefits must be balanced with biological and environmental risks

Scintigraphic assessment of the metacarpophalangeal and metatarsophalangeal joints of horses with joint pain

Our aims were to evaluate the pattern of radiopharmaceutical uptake in horses with lameness related to the metacarpophalangeal and/or metatarsophalangeal joint and compare the results with similar information from sound horses. It was hypothesized that there would be a difference in radiopharmaceutical uptake between the lame and contralateral limb in unilaterally lame horses and that there would be a difference between lame and sound horses. Nuclear scintigraphic images of 43 horses with forelimb lameness and 30 horses with hindlimb lameness were evaluated. In all horses lameness was improved by intraarticular analgesia of the joint, or by perineural analgesia of the palmar/plantar (at the junction of the proximal 3/4 and the distal 1/4 of the metacarpal/metatarsal regions) and palmar/plantar metacarpal/metatarsal nerves. All images were assessed subjectively and a quantitative image analysis was performed by drawing a vertical line profile through the center of each joint in the lateral images and using region of interest analysis in both lateral and dorsal/plantar images. Ratios of radiopharmaceutical uptake were compared for each region between lame and contralateral limbs in unilaterally lame horses and between lame and control horses. There was a significant difference in the ratio of radiopharmaceutical uptake in the proximal aspect of the proximal phalanx between lame and nonlame forelimbs in unilaterally lame horses and in both lame and contralateral limbs of lame horses compared with control horses for the regions of the distal aspect of the third metacarpal/metatarsal bone and the proximal sesamoid bones. However, the profile analysis was of limited clinical value

The cracks were pre-settled to the R.C. frame structure caused by earthquake which was defined as the damage index ω during the modeling process with analysis software-ANASYS. The temperature field contour curve were calculated for the column and beam, the law of deteriorated bearing capacity with time for the R.C. frame structure under elevated temperature were brought forward, which can adapt to R.C. frame structure with different damage index ω caused by earthquake. The relationship between ω and deteriorated bearing capacity for R.C. frame structure was also given, which was proved to be effective and correct according to comparison with the data recorded from the elevated temperature experiment designed by author.</jats:p

Title: Internal Friction in The Region of The Grain Boundary Peaks in Pure Zirconium and Dilute Zirconium Alloys, Author: R.C. Robinson, Location: ThodeInternal friction, in the region of the grain boundary peaks, has been examined in nominally pure zirconium and dilute zirconium alloys. Experimental observations were made using both torsion and reed internal friction pendulums. The effect of various heat treatments on the peaks were investigated. Strain amplitude dependent damping in the region of the Low Temperature Peak was observed. A qualitative model is presented to explain the experimental observations.ThesisMaster of Engineering (ME

Doel van dit rapport is de lezer inzicht te verschaffen in het gebruik van de FFT-routine van R.C. Singleton zoals die in het rekencentrum van de T.H. - Delft in gebruik is.
