Pick and place learning robot yang diberikan pembelajaran (Machine Learning) mampu menyortir objek berupa buah/sayur secara otomatis menggunakan metode pengolahan citra dengan algoritma SIFT feature dan FLANN matcher. Hit rate robot dalam melakukan sortir buah/sayur dengan jumlah percobaan sepuluh kali untuk masing masing objek adalah sebesar 95%

    Presented at SCADA and related technologies for irrigation district modernization, II: a USCID water management conference held on June 6-9, 2007 in Denver, Colorado.In Jordan, water requirements are growing sharply, due to population growths, associated to the industrialization and the development of the country. Moreover, water resources are limited and subject to competitive use with neighboring countries. The King Abdullah Canal (KAC) takes mainly the water in the Yarmouk and Zarqa Rivers, supplies the irrigation of 30000 ha and transfers water to Amman for domestic and industrial needs. The KAC main structures are monitored and remotely controlled from a General Control Center through a SCADA system which includes a regulation module providing automatic and permanent control of canal flows as well as safety systems. In canal systems, discharge measurements are fundamental. However, measurement network on hydraulic systems include many sensors spread over a large area, and subject to failure or deviation. In addition discharge and volume measurements in open channel are characterized by large uncertainties. The KAC SCADA system is operational since 7 years, and a large database of measurements on the canal system is available. A review of flow measurements is made, with an analysis of the uncertainties coming from the use of gate laws. The analysis includes a comparison of the results given by different algorithms: Cemagref algorithm implemented in SIC software, USBR gate law, classical free flow and submerged flow orifice law. In the analysis, one of the KAC check gate appears to behave abnormally, with a systematic overestimation of the discharge. Analysis of flow measurements on field have been undertaken, as well as flow estimation based on open channel simulations using SIC software. This complete analysis provides relevant conclusions on the coherence of flow measurements

    Real time multimedia has been a major trend in people daily life. With the rise of demands in faster internet connection for multimedia purpose, Long Term Evolution (LTE) has been used as a medium of transmission to fulfil these demands. Still, the need of handling multiple simultaneous multimedia transmission, either voice or audio is a challenge that LTE is facing. Many proportional fairness scheduling algorithms have been implemented in LTE such as Modified Largest Weighted Delay First (M-LWDF) that can handle up to 90 users in a single cell simultaneously with good bandwidth distribution. Yet there is still room for improvement as the allocation for simultaneous transmission of video and VoIP are affected by other best effort flows. Best effort flow such as internet surfing does not require a huge amount of bandwidth allocation whereas a sufficient amount from the best effort bandwidth allocation for best effort can be reallocated to video and VoIP flows. Hence, an adaptive algorithm named Criterion-Based Algorithm (C-B), Criterion-Based Proportional Fairness (C-BPF) and Criterion-Based Modified Largest Weighted Delay First (C-BMLWDF) based on Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC) had been proposed by the author. The result simulation of the solution had shown a better performance in throughput, delay, packet loss and fairness index of both video and VoIP transmission with a respective allocation for the best effort flow

    Exploration of New Classes of Bi-univalent Functions Defined by the Subordination Principle Using q-Gegenbauer Polynomials

We analyze and characterize this newly defined class of functions, and derive estimates for the Taylor-Maclaurin coefficients |a2| and |a3|. Additionally, we investigate the formulation of functional problems specific to functions within this subclass, namely a3-σa22 (commonly known as the Fekete-Szegö problem). By systematically exploring parameter specialization, we discover a range of novel outcomes that shed light on various aspects of our main results, contributing to a broader understanding of the mathematical landscape under investigation. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024

    Generative AI tool use enhances academic achievement in sustainable education through shared metacognition and cognitive offloading among preservice teachers

    Abstract The integration of generative artificial intelligence tools in education has emerged as a transformative approach to enhancing learning outcomes, particularly in the context of sustainable development goals (SDG4). Therefore, the present study investigates the connection between generative artificial intelligence tool usage (GenAITU) and academic achievement (AA) in the context of SDG4. We assessed the mediating role of shared metacognition (SMC) and cognitive offloading (COL) in this relationship among preservice teachers (PSTs). The indicators, including performance expectancy (PE), effort expectancy (EE), facilitating conditions (FC), and use behavior (UB), are derived from adapting the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) for GenAITU. The authors surveyed 465 students from five universities in Wuhan, China, using a 7-point Likert scale through a time-lag design. Statistical analysis was performed through partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), to determine the relationship between variables. Findings indicated that two components of GenAITU, namely PE and UB, showed significant positive associations with AA, while the other two, EE and FC, did not show significant and positive relationships with AA. Results also showed that three dimensions of GenAITU, namely EE, FC, and UB have a positive and significant association with SMC while PE has a positive and significant connection with SMC. All four components of GenAITU like PE, EE, FC, and UB have positive and significant links with COL. SMC and COL have a positive and significant relationship with AA. Results also indicated that SMC mediated the connections between GenAITU (EE, FC, and UB) and AA. Outcomes also indicated that COL mediated the connections between GenAITU (PE, EE, FC, and UB) and AA. The current study shows that SMC and COL were strong mediators of the association between GenAITU and AA.     Modelling the leakage rate and reduction using minimum night flow analysis in an intermittent supply system

    A significant portion of the water supplied to people doesn't reach its valid users but instead leaks out of the distribution network, causing water wastage, revenue loss and contamination risks. This paper analyses the leakage rate, leakage components and leakage reduction potential. A minimum night flow (MNF) analysis was carried out on a district metered area (DMA) in an intermittent supply system in Zarqa, Jordan. Leakage was modelled and leakage reduction policies were analysed. Results show that MNF occurs at night or during day time depending on the water levels in customer tanks, implying that one-day MNF analysis cannot be carried out in intermittent supplies and the estimation of the legitimate consumption during MNF is more influential. The potential water savings of the different leakage reduction measures (pressure management; leakage detection; response time minimization) are separately analysed in the existing models in the literature, leading to significant overestimation of the total leakage reduction potential, while these measures are influencing each other. Pressure reduction lowers the failure frequencies but limits the potential of leakage detection surveys, as leaks will become harder to hear and detect. Investigating the inter-dependency relations of these measures is therefore essential for reasonable leakage reduction modelling and planning.Sanitary Engineerin

    Exploring perceived sustainable competencies in relation to curricula, generative AI tool usage, and knowledge sharing in blended learning

    Abstract This study examined direct and indirect connections between sustainable curricula and perceived sustainable competencies among preservice teachers in blended learning, using generative AI tool usage and knowledge-sharing practices as mediating variables. The Curriculum Delivery Framework (CDF), Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2), Knowledge Sharing Perspectives and Sustainable Development Goals guided this research. A survey was administered to 446 participants, using a convenient sampling technique, at six universities in Hubei, China, using a time-lag design and analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling. The findings indicate that sustainable curricula significantly correlate with perceived sustainable competencies. In addition, generative AI tool usage mediated by knowledge-sharing practices partially explains this relationship. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first study to propose a novel framework integrating sustainable curricula, generative AI tool usage, and knowledge-sharing practices to foster perceived sustainable competencies among preservice teachers. The valuable implications of these findings for teachers, curriculum policymakers, university administration and students are discussed, along with considerations for future research directions

    Hussein Abu Roumman analyses the results of the parliamentary elections of 2003 and 2007 to highlight the positive discrimination that favoured rural and Bedouin regions at the expense of urban areas, the consequence being that the three main Jordanian cities of Amman, Zarqa and Irbid are the least represented in parliament. The reason is that these cities have a high concentration of Palestinians who support the main opposition party: the Islamic Action Front. Senior representatives of the Jordanian state put forward economic arguments concerning the level of development to justify the overrepresentation of rural areas. Hussein Abu Rumman reminds us that on the eve of the 1997 elections, the late King Hussein Bin Talal stated that in order to resolve the Palestinian question, Jordan had to find a balance between allowing Jordanian Palestinians to exercise their rights as citizens and the desire not to renounce their right to return. The author analyzes voting systems, and regrets that some voters vote in their constituency of origin and not in their place of residence, thus preventing them from developing political ties with their place of residence and transforming towns into “hotels”. The failure to impose the registration of voters on the electoral lists of their circumscription of residence is an obstacle to the development of urban social relations and citizenship among the people of the same constituency.
