Comparison of Deep Learning Models for Multi-Crop Leaf Disease Detection with Enhanced Vegetative Feature Isolation and Definition of a New Hybrid Architecture
No full textAgricultural productivity is one of the critical factors towards ensuring food security across the globe. However, some of the main crops, such as potato, tomato, and mango, are usually infested by leaf diseases, which considerably lower yield and quality. The traditional practice of diagnosing disease through visual inspection is labor-intensive, time-consuming, and can lead to numerous errors. To address these challenges, this study evokes the AgirLeafNet model, a deep learning-based solution with a hybrid of NASNetMobile for feature extraction and Few-Shot Learning (FSL) for classification. The Excess Green Index (ExG) is a novel approach that is a specified vegetation index that can further the ability of the model to distinguish and detect vegetative properties even in scenarios with minimal labeled data, demonstrating the tremendous potential for this application. AgirLeafNet demonstrates outstanding accuracy, with 100% accuracy for potato detection, 92% for tomato, and 99.8% for mango leaves, producing incredibly accurate results compared to the models already in use, as described in the literature. By demonstrating the viability of a deep learning/IoT system architecture, this study goes beyond the current state of multi-crop disease detection. It provides practical, effective, and efficient deep-learning solutions for sustainable agricultural production systems. The innovation of the model emphasizes its multi-crop capability, precision in results, and the suggested use of ExG to generate additional robust disease detection methods for new findings. The AgirLeafNet model is setting an entirely new standard for future research endeavors

The crystal structure is stabilized by C-H...O contacts and [pi]-[pi] interactions (centroid-centroid distances of 3.807 and 3.808 Å). Do market conditions affect interconnectedness pattern of socially responsible equities?
No full textWe assess the interconnectedness pattern of sustainability leaders from United States market during stable, boom and crisis situations for the period 01-Oct-2005 to 31-May-2021 using Qian et al. (2020) methodology. The purpose is to assess the hedging properties of sustainable firms. We find that sampled firms exhibit high connectedness during tail events. Also, they offer hedge against the market conditions. Moreover, the small and growth-oriented firms contribute to the total connectedness for all market conditions. The sampled SRI network appears favorable for forming portfolio as the average connectedness is negative for all economic conditions
Impact of environmental engagement on internationalization of EMNEs: interplay of social engagement and transnational board
No full textEmerging market firms’ internationalization to advanced nations is topical for scholarly understanding. In this regard, IB research has paid scant attention on how emerging market firms’ domestic environmental engagement contribute to their internationalization to advanced economies. Against this backdrop, this study combines the institutional theory and ambidexterity perspective and utilizes the data of BRICS MNEs and finds the positive relationship between their domestic environmental engagement and internationalization to advanced economies. Furthermore, the transnational board pronounces, and domestic social engagement subsides this relationship, suggesting environmental engagement is sustainable and important role transnational board plays in BRICS MNEs environmental engagement and internationalization

Due to their pyramidal-hierarchical structure, such networks possess a focal company that coordinates the network. The managerial task of the focal company is to work out collective strategy that addresses cooperation and coordination problems at the firm, dyadic and network levels. These strategies must take into account that at each level specific goals must be achieved.
