The main purpose of the study was awareness about color blindness, its causes and impact on health in university-girls-hostel residents. Eighty students joined in this study. All the students of Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan Khadija hall girl’s hostel were involved in that study in which they were asked about color blindness it provides answers like is color blindness a viral infection or a bacterial disease, metabolic disease. Any one of you your family and friends have ever suffered from this disease? How can we treat it with the use of medicines or surgery? It is shifted genetically or by blood transfusion contact. Which they were asked about color blindness disease type and it’s diagnose and how it can be controlled either by surgery or medicines or no need of its treatment and how it spreads and family friends history of this disease. A survey was done by the awareness about color blindness its reasons and effect on health. A survey was done by the awareness about color blindness its reasons and effect on health. The statistical analysis was done by using MS word. Above study showed that majority of students said that AIDS is a bacterial disease rather than fungal disease. 67.5% of students claimed it as a bacterial disease but 36.25% said that it is not a genetically transferred disease. 53.75% of students had this disease

Stocks as Hedge against Inflation in Pakistan: Evidence from ARDL Approach

    No full text
The paper implements ARDL bounds testing approach to cointegration to explore whether or not stocks are good hedge against inflation in the case of a transition economy such as Pakistan, using annual data for the period 1971 – 2008. Ng-Peron (2001) unit root test is applied to determine the stationarity of the series. The results suggest that stocks act as good hedge against inflation in Pakistan both in the long and the short run. The findings should help formulate appropriate policy to encourage investment in financial markets and thereby promote economic growth.Stock Returns, Inflation, ARDL Bounds Testing, Ng-Perron Test

Individual and synergistic effects of different fertilizers and gibberellin on growth and morphology of chili seedlings

    No full text
Gibberellins (GA₃), as well as the basic elements phosphorus (P), nitrogen (N), and potassium (K), are crucial to the growth of chili. This study investigates the effect of different fertilizers and plant growth regulator on the growth and morphology of chili seedlings. Soil application of NPK, urea, SOP, and DAP (2.5 g/L) was applied during sowing, and N in two splits at sowing and after twenty days of sowing while foliar application of GA₃ (50 mg/L) was applied after fifteen days of germination. The result of five seedlings' traits plant height (PH), plant girth (PG), plant spread (PS), number of leaves (NOF), and root length (RL) demonstrated a significant difference among growth-related traits in chili seedlings owing to the use of fertilizers, GA₃, and their combinations. An optimum level of K and P alone or in combination with GA₃ had a significant effect on all traits. PH was particularly influenced by the combination of GA₃ with K and P whereas other traits like PG, NOF, PS, and RL are greatly influenced by the application of NPK, urea, SOP, DAP, and their combination with GA₃. The study results showed an increase in chili seedlings' growth and morphology in response to various fertilizers and GA₃.Iza Fatima, Aiman Fatima, Muhammad Aqib Shah, Muhammad Amjad Farooq, Iftikhar Ali Ahmad, Irsa Ejaz, Daniel Adjibolosoo, Ume Laila, Muhammad Asim Rasheed, Ans Imran Shahid, Ayesha Tariq, Ume Han

Too sleepy to be innovative? Ethical leadership and employee service innovation behavior: A dual-path model moderated by sleep quality

    No full text
This research explores the association of ethical leadership with employee service innovation behavior through a moderated mediation model. Theorizing on uncertainty reduction theory, we explore psychological ownership and creative self-efficacy as the underlying psychological mechanisms in the association between ethical leadership and employee service innovation behavior while considering the moderating role of sleep quality. We tested our theoretical model in two studies involving hospitality sector employees in the United States. Study 1 employed a three-wave (two-week period) time-lagged design (N = 237), and Study 2 used a two-wave (four-week period) survey design (N = 313). The findings suggest that workers’ psychological ownership and creative self-efficacy mediate the association between ethical leadership and employee service innovation behavior. In addition, sleep quality functions as an important boundary condition of the association between creative self-efficacy and service innovation behavior. Our research has important implications for understanding the impact of ethical leadership on important employee outcomes while considering the boundary condition role of employee sleep quality. The limitations of the study and future research directions are discussed.publishedVersio

A learners experience with the games education in software engineering

The utilization of games and its components in software building training isn’t new. In reality, their usage in Software development training is found to look into papers for numerous decades. Be that as it may, there is little data about the real reception of these methodologies in games designing and development training in terms of software building. Consequently, the objective of this paper is to research the utilization of game’s components in programming designing instruction, in the viewpoint of teachers. To accomplish this objective, this examination proposes and breaks down the aftereffects of a study replied by numerous product designing teachers. We test the members by welcoming multiple instructors from settled colleges and instructive organizations of various districts. The first objective of the review is to gather data relates to the utilization of important games and rich gamification in the student classrooms, and the second objective is to comprehend information territories and the pre-owned game-related techniques. The outcomes show that the more significant part of the educators knows about these instructive methodologies, the games were embraced by various members. Games that are generally played to cover “Programming Process” & “Task Management.” The utmost utilized game apparatuses are Points scoring, Quizzes solving, and meet challenges. The outcomes additionally reveal that the fundamental explanations behind not embracing the assets are the absence of information, lack of data about essential games for encouraging programming designing, and the absence of time to design and remember these methodologies for the classes At long last, results show a definite propensity towards the future appropriation of these game-related methodologies by the product developing teachers.Tariq, Muhammad Imran-will be generated-orcid-0000-0003-2787-8334-600Diaz-Martinez, Jorgeaziz, shariq-will be generated-orcid-0000-0002-5820-4028-600Javaid, Muhammad Adeel-will be generated-orcid-0000-0001-5299-7496-600De-La-Hoz-Franco, Emiro-will be generated-orcid-0000-0002-4926-7414-600Mihaela Dicu, Anc

Employee-fit and Turnover Intentions: The Role of Job Engagement and Psychological Contract Violation in the Hospitality Industry

    No full text
The primary goal of this study is to develop and test a comprehensive model concerning the association between employee-fit and turnover intention (TI) in the hospitality industry. A multi-wave survey was conducted in the metropolitan cities of Pakistan to collect data from 362 frontline hotel industry employees. The findings reveal that person-organization (P–O) fit and person-job (P-J) fit are negatively associated with employee TI in the hospitality industry, while employee engagement plays the underlying mediating role in these relationships. In addition, the psychological contract violation (PCV) has been found as a boundary condition to our proposed linear relationships such that the indirect effects of P–O fit and P-J fit on employee TI are weaker for the employees having high PCV. Theoretical and practical implications for the hospitality industry as well as limitations and future research directions have been discussed

Is there a bright side of COVID-19? The influence of conscientiousness and extended TPB on the tourists’ eco-friendly behaviour

    No full text
This study provides the evidence of a positive association between fear of COVID-19 pandemic and tourists’ intention towards eco-friendly behaviour. This study model was tested by collecting data through a survey targeting hospitality staff in Pakistan. Results reveal that the COVID-19 fear is positively related to the tourists’ intention towards eco-friendly behaviour through subjective norms and attitude. In addition, tourists’ conscientiousness was found as a boundary condition on the association between individuals’ fear of COVID-19 and their eco-friendly behavioural intention. This paper concludes by discussing ways that stakeholders from academia and marketplace can utilize the findings to convert behavioural intentions into real eco-friendly behaviour
