Remittances and Poverty Linkages in Pakistan: Evidence and Some Suggestions for Further Analysis
Global remittances experienced a dramatic increase over the years, particularly since 1990 wherein the developing world emerged to be the major beneficiary accounting for 60 percent of the total amount. Because of the sheer volume, and magnitude of the remittances, and pre-eminence of these flows compared to the FDIs, development assistance and in some cases the trade related transactions, the development practitioners tended to focus and investigate the importance of remittances which are generally regarded as a dependable source for growth, improved welfare and poverty alleviation in the developing world. Given the fact that remittances flows entail wide ranging ramifications both for sending as well as receiving countries, difficult to be generalised, hence empirical evidence has been mounted though lack of consensus is visible.

INDO-US STRATEGIC ALIGNMENT IN THE INDO-PACIFIC: CHALLENGES AND CHOICES FOR PAKISTAN
This article examines the implications of the Indo-US strategic partnership for Pakistan\u27s security and foreign policy choices. Because of their shared security interests, the United States and India have aligned to contain China\u27s rise in the Indo-Pacific Region (IPR). This partnership raises India’s power, status, and overall influence in the region compared to Pakistan. Considering the long rivalry between India and Pakistan—rooted in ideological, historical, and territorial disputes—this partnership raises the prospects of conflict in South Asia. Additionally, Pakistan-China-India and Pakistan-China-US triangulated relationships add layers of complexity, further diminishing the prospects for cooperation and peace, as a bilateral conflict between any two countries tends to involve the third. The complexities of the first triangle create a security dilemma, mutual distrust, and rivalry among the three regional powers, which, in turn, complicate the relationships within the second triangle. It is argued that the Indo-US partnership complicates Pakistan\u27s security dilemma, heightens the arms race, raises the prospects of conflicts, and encourages Pakistan to align with China closely.

Entrepreneurial Leadership and Creativity in Projects: A Moderated-Mediated Mechanism.
For managers/leaders without creativity and innovation, it's difficult to compete effectively on the market. Employee top success is not often enough to achieve a strategic edge in which creative attitudes and innovation can be counted as materials to create. An entrepreneurial leadership style is recognised as a crucial source of enhancing creativity in project-based organisations. However current research will provide empirical evidence in which leadership leads to creativity in projects through Innovative Work Behaviour (IWB) and Entrepreneurial SelfEfficacy (ESE) as a moderator. For this purpose, the leaders/managers in the project-based organisations are in the twin cities of Peshawar and Nowshera, KP; Pakistan was taken as a population of the study. All the four variables were measured through adopted instruments from the previous studies. Due to time, cost and other constraints, the study has employed the convenience sampling technique to gathered data. The collected data was run through various statistical techniques such as data cleaning, internal consistency, CFA and relationship via Structural Educational Modelling using CB AMOS 23. The results of the study found that Entrepreneurial leadership has significant and positive association with creativity in projects. The study also examined that innovative work behaviour partially mediates the association between Entrepreneurial leadership and has significant and positive association with creativity in projects. Further, the study also found that entrepreneurial self-efficacy moderates the association between entrepreneurial leadership and has significant and positive association with creativity in projects
3D printing of magneto-active smart materials for advanced actuators and soft robotics applications
In the contemporary era, novel manufacturing technologies like additive manufacturing (AM) have revolutionized the different engineering sectors including biomedical, aerospace, electronics, etc. Four-dimensional (4D) printing aka AM of smart materials is gaining popularity among the scientific community, which has the excellent ability to make soft structures such as soft robots, actuators, and grippers. These soft structures are developed by applying various stimuli such as pH, temperature, magnetic field, and many combinations onto soft materials. Stimuli in 3D printing permit various shape-morphing behaviors such as bending, twisting, folding, swelling, rolling, shrinking, origami, or locomotion. A wide variety of soft magnetic structures can be fabricated through the incorporation of soft or hard magnetic particles into soft materials resulting in magneto-active soft materials (MASMs). With this integration, magneto-thermal coupling actuation allows diverse magneto-deformations, facilitating the development of personalized devices that are capable of enhanced deformation. In this review, guidelines are provided on the 3D printing for MASMs such as magneto-active polymers (MAPs), magneto-active composites, and magneto-active hydrogels (MAHs) on the booming development of various smart and flexible devices such as soft robots, wearable electronics, and biomimetic devices. Moreover, 3D-printed soft robotics have an outstanding capacity to adapt to complicated situations for many advanced actuating applications. Finally, some current challenges and emerging areas in this exciting technology have been proposed. Lastly, it is anticipated that technological advancements in developing smart and intelligent magneto-active structures will have a significant impact on the design of real-world applications
Valuation effect of ESG and its impact on capital structure: Evidence from Europe
In this study, we examine the valuation effect of ESG performance using a sample of 895 European companies. The misvaluation of the company is determined by the ratio of its market price to its true value. A true value calculation is based on two measures: first, on the analysts' forecasted price, and second, on residual income. We find that improvements in ESG profiles increase market prices in relation to their true value. An analysis of overvalued and undervalued stocks separately revealed that ESG performance further enhances the existing level of overvaluation. Conversely, it restores undervalued stocks to their true value for residual income measures of misvaluation. Alternatively, mispricing measured by analysts' forecasted price is significant only for undervalued stocks and the entire sample. Our analysis suggests that information asymmetry and market sentiment play a moderating role in the ESG-misvaluation nexus, suggesting that ESG is a friction to market efficiency. ESG-related misvaluations further impact capital structure through market timing practices, and the increased stability of CSR can be attributed to a marginal increase in equity issuance. We attribute this valuation effect to the demand effect associated with ESG investments. The findings are robust to alternative measures of estimation
New Dimensions for Physical Layer Secret Key Generation: Excursion Lengths-Based Key Generation
Physical Layer-based Secret Key Generation (PLSKG) between the legitimate nodes from the reciprocal wireless channel is a vastly studied area of Physical Layer Security (PLS). PLSKG aims to secure the wireless link between the legitimate nodes by symmetrically encrypting the wirelessly transmitted information via a secret key that is extracted from the common randomness of the stochastic wireless channel. PLSKG encompasses the intermediate steps of channel sampling, quantization, information reconciliation, and privacy amplification. The PLSKG algorithms are evaluated in terms of quantifiers such as Key Generation Rate (KGR), Key Agreement Probability (KAP), and randomness. The practical PLSKG algorithms (level-crossing algorithms) extract a secret key by analyzing the channel samples and assigning bit sequences to the channel samples lying in different quantization regions. Level-crossing algorithms are lossy and extract a secret key from the central samples of matched excursions between the legitimate nodes. This results in a reduced KGR as there is a scarcity of such matched excursions considering the fast variations of the wireless link between the legitimate nodes. This paper proposes a Two-Round Channel Parsing (TRCP) algorithm that exploits the correlation between the excursion lengths of the channel samples in addition to the sample correlation. TRCP effectively utilize the channel samples by reducing the sample losses incurred by lossy quantizers exploring a new dimension of correlated excursions of the channel samples between legitimate nodes. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed TRCP scheme enhances the KGR and KAP performance of the secret key and also passes the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) test suite of randomness
