Hindustanicola Morffe & Garcia
Genus Hindustanicola Morffe & García, replacement name for Singhiella Rao, 1958 Type species: Hindustanicola singhi (Rao, 1958) n. comb. Etymology: Generic name derived from Hindustan, the historical name of the peninsula of the Indian sub-continent that includes India and the suffix -cola (inhabitant). Referred to the region of the type locality of the species. In addition to the correction of the homonymy in the current work further studies on the genus are necessary. Examination of types and/or new material is needed in order to update and amend the generic diagnosis of Hindustanicola n. gen. and re-describe H. singhi n. comb. These morphological data should be complemented with SEM images. Besides, more accurate molecular studies would be useful, since only one sequence of the nuclear marker 28S rDNA of a specimen identified to genus level is available in GenBank (Spiridonov & Guzeeva 2009).Published as part of Morffe, Jans & García, Nayla, 2023, Correction of the homonymy of the nematode genus Singhiella Rao, 1958 (Oxyuridomorpha: Thelastomatoidea: Travasossinematidae) parasite from mole crickets (Insecta: Orthoptera: Gryllotalpidae), pp. 299-300 in Zootaxa 5244 (3) on page 299, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.5244.3.8, http://zenodo.org/record/765644
