Gracias a su versatilidad y desempeño en la interpretación del clarinete soprano y el clarinete bajo, Jesús David Moreno se destaca como una de las promesas de este instrumento en Colombia. Cuenta con gran experiencia en la escena musical local, con actuaciones como solista e instrumentista en banda, orquesta y música de cámara.
Fue supernumerario de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Caldas bajo la dirección de Leonardo Marulanda, interpretando el clarinete bajo en la ‘Sinfonía en re menor’ de César Franck y en ‘Till Eulenspiegels’ de Richard Strauss. Como clarinetista bajo de la Banda Municipal de Manizales, durante cuatro años, se destaca su interpretación como solista del concierto ‘Spotlights' on the Bass Clarinet’ del compositor holandés Jan Hadermann, en el Teatro los Fundadores de Manizales. Con el clarinete soprano se ha presentado como solista en la programación del Festival Nacional de Clarinetes de la Universidad de Caldas en el auditorio del Centro Cultural del Banco de la República de Manizales, el teatro de Confamiliares Caldas y la Catedral Basílica de Manizales, entre otros. También se ha presentado como primer clarinete con la Orquesta Filarmónica Juvenil de Bogotá en el Teatro Jorge Eliécer Gaitán, la Catedral Primada de Bogotá y la Catedral de Sal de Zipaquirá.
Es miembro fundador de PaloNegro, ensamble de clarinetes con percusión con el cual ha ganado diversos premios en los más prestigiosos concursos de música colombiana como el Festival de Música Andina Mono Núñez, el Festival Nacional del Pasillo Colombiano y el Festival Hatoviejo Cotrafa - Música Andina y Llanera Colombianas.
Graduado como Maestro en Música en la Universidad de Caldas bajo la tutoría de Hernán Darío Gutiérrez, Guillermo Marín, Fredy Pinzón y Jairo Cifuentes, ha recibido clases también con destacados clarinetistas colombianos como José Gómez, Andrés Ramírez, Mauricio Murcia, Gonzalo Quintero, y maestros reconocidos a nivel mundial como Juan Ferrer, Roeland Hendrikx, Robert DiLutis, Jorge Montilla, Valdemar Rodríguez y Jèrôme Voisin. Actuó como clarinetista jefe de la Banda Filarmónica Juvenil de Bogotá.
Raúl Mesa, piano
Es profesor asociado de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia sede Bogotá, donde se desempeña como docente de piano y pianista colaborador. Ha sido coordinador del área de piano y de acompañamiento y director asistente de la Orquesta Sinfónica del Conservatorio de Música de la misma institución. Como músico de cámara es fundador e integrante del Dúo Rachmaninoff, Dúo Debussy y Trío Bartók. Con dichos ensambles ha participado en festivales internacionales en Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica y Estados Unidos. Con el Dúo Debussy grabó el álbum 'Contrastes'. Ha actuado como solista bajo la batuta de su padre, Fabio Mesa, con la Banda Sinfónica de Vientos de Boyacá. También ha sido solista y músico de cámara con la Bogotá Chamber Orchestra. Ganó el primer premio en el Concurso Nacional de Piano de Bucaramanga en 2003 y al año siguiente representó a Colombia en el Festival Internacional de Piano de la Universidad Industrial de Santander y tocó como solista con la Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Colombia.
Obtuvo su título de Magíster en Música de Duquesne University en Pittsburgh (EE. UU.) donde estudió con David Allen Wehr y Natasha Snitkovsky. Culminó sus estudios de Maestría en Dirección Sinfónica en la Universidad Nacional de Colombia bajo la guía de Guerassim Voronkov. Es Licenciado en Música de la Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia. Ha dirigido la Orquesta Juvenil de la Fundación Unimúsica, la Orquesta Sinfónica de la Fundación Universitaria Juan N. Corpas, la Orquesta Sinfónica del Conservatorio del Tolima y la Orquesta Sinfónica del Conservatorio de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Recientemente ha actuado como solista y director invitado de la Banda Sinfónica de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia

Hollister talks about being fired from a teaching job in Durand for being outspoken on civil rights, seeing the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King at MSU in 1965 and being so moved that he volunteered to go to Mississippi to teach, teaching at Lansing Eastern High School, working on the Robert F. Kennedy presidential campaign in 1968 and starting his career in politics as an Ingham County Commissioner. Hollister also talks about his efforts to revitalize Lansing and the overall strategy to make Lansing a "cool city." Hollister is interviewed by Jose Moreno
