No full textIl volume analizza le forme di collaborazione imprenditoriale nel settore dei contratti pubblici effettuando uno studio comparativo di tre moduli: il primo, quello più recente, rappresentato dall’avvalimento, il secondo, che riguarda le associazioni temporanee di impresa (ATI), da tempo consolidato nel nostro ordinamento; il terzo, sui consorzi stabili, tipico del settore dei lavori pubblici, ma che si apre con applicazioni innovative e peculiari al settore delle forniture e servizi. In particolare vengono studiate e confrontate le discipline e la giurisprudenza al fine di delineare i maggiori problemi applicativi degli istituti.The book analyzes the forms of cooperation between companies in the field of public contracts making a comparative study of three modules: the first, the most recent one, represented by the “avvalimento”, the second, which concerns the ATI, long established in our system; the third, on stable consortia, typical of the public works sector. No full textIl capitolo contiene i rilievi del chiostro. Questi sono stati prodotti in più tempi. Le piante e le sezioni 1:50 erano state realizzate
con rilievo diretto e restituzione su fogli di poliestere da Lia Barelli con la collaborazione di Monica Morbidelli negli anni 1996-1997. In occasione della redazione del progetto i fogli sono stati scansionati e vettorializzati. I rilievi di dettaglio in scala 1:20 e 1:10, comprendenti i prospetti esterni e interni dei corridori, le sezioni delle volte, le sezioni della cornice, sono stati eseguiti per il Programma e finalizzati principalmente alla realizzazione delle mappature dello stato di conservazione, degli interventi sulle superfici e del progetto di consolidamento. A questi elaborati, sotto la direzione di Lia Barelli, hanno lavorato Mara Falconi, Elisabetta Giorgi, Monica Morbidelli, Laura Morgante, con la collaborazione di Luca Della Santa, Maria Cristina Fabbri, Luca Giuggiolini, Roberta Loreti. Si propone il rilievo 1:50, mentre per quello alle scale di maggior dettaglio, si rimanda ai capitoli successivi dove i grafici sono stati utilizzati più volte come base per le elaborazioni tematiche
Optimal operation of simulated moving-bed units for non-linear chromatographic separations - II. Bi-Langmuir isotherm
No full textSeveral important theoretical results have been previously obtained to predict the behaviour of continuous chromatographic separation units in the case of Langmuirian type of isotherms. Concerning separation of binary mixtures in a non-adsorbable carrier with SMB units, stoichiometric and non-stoichiometric Langmuir and modified Langmuir have been considered in the frame of equilibrium theory. For these isotherms explicit constraints on the operating parameters have been found to achieve complete separation (M. Mazzotti, G. Storti, M. Morbidelli, J. Chromatogr. A 769 (1997) 3; M. Mazzotti, G. Storti, M. Morbidelli, AIChE J, 42 (1996) 2784; M. Mazzotti, M. Pedeferri, M. Morbidelli, in: Chiral Europe '96 Symposium, Spring Innovations Limited, Stockport, UK, 1996); the design of the SMB unit was then reduced to the analysis of the so-called region of complete separation for the operating parameters. In this paper, the same result is presented for the bi-Langmuir case, which can avoid the constant selectivity limit of the Langmuir isotherms. Langmuir and bi-langmuir isotherms fitting the same set of data taken from the literature were then used here to show the difference in the prediction of the region of complete separation. Finally an analysis of non-linearity effects on performance parameters is presented as a useful criterion for optimization of the separation performances. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V
Dynamic response studies on aggregation and breakage dynamics of colloidal dispersions in stirred tanks
No full textAggregation and breakage of aggregates of fully destabilized polystyrene latex particles in turbulent flow was studied experimentally in both batch and continuous stirred tanks using small-angle static light scattering. It was found that the steady-state values of the root-mean-square radius of gyration are fully reversible upon changes of stirring speed as well as solid volume fraction. Steady-state values of the root-mean-square radius of gyration were decreasing with decreasing solid volume fraction as well as with increasing stirring speed. Moreover, it was found that the steady-state structure and shape of the aggregates is not influenced by the applied stirring speed
Effect of selective tachykinin receptor antagonists on the growth of human skin fibroblasts.
No full textThe effect of synthetic selective tachykinin receptor antagonists was studied on the growth of cultured human skin fibroblasts (HF). Selective antagonists for the NK1 receptor ([D-Pro4, D-Trp7,9,Phe11]-SP(4-11), GR71251 and L 668,169) and the NK2 receptor (L 659,877) were tested against Substance P (SP), against the selective NK1 receptor agonist [beta-Ala4,Sar9, Met(O2)11]-SP(4-11) and against basic Fibroblast Growth Factor (bFGF). All the selective NK1 receptor antagonists, tested at the concentration of 10(-5)M, induced a significant displacement to the right of the dose-response curves induced by SP and by the selective NK1 receptor agonist. The selective NK2 receptor antagonist did not modify the proliferative response to the tachykinins used. The growth promoting effect of bFGF was not modified by any of the tachykinin antagonists tested. These results indicate that the newly developed receptor-selective tachykinin antagonists appear to be a useful tool to assess the biological effects of tachykinin in vitro on cultured isolated cells

No full textMagnetic resonance imaging techniques measuring in vivo brain perfusion and integrity of the blood-brain barrier have developed rapidly in the past decade, resulting in a wide range of available methods. This review first discusses their principles, possible pitfalls, and potential for quantification and outlines clinical application in neurological disorders. Then, we focus on the endothelial cells of the blood-brain barrier, pointing out their contribution in regulating vascular tone by production of vasoactive substances. Finally, the role of these substances in brain hypoperfusion in multiple sclerosis is discussed

Rilevante è il discorso sui principi emergenti dalle direttive europee che hanno la forza di imporsi sui principali temi di diritto amministrativo di parte generale. La disciplina dei contratti pubblici ha contribuito a riscrivere pagine fondamentali del diritto amministrativo in tema di ente pubblico, provvedimento amministrativo, accordi, concessioni, risarcibilità degli interessi legittimi. etc. Analogamente - con le direttive ricorsi su cui Morbidelli per primo ne ha colto l'importanza - anche il processo amministrativo ha subito radicali mutamenti sia in materia di tutela cautelare, che di ampliamento degli orizzonti di tutela
