Hierarchical Representations of Freebase Topics
The dataset contains more than 21M hierarchical relationships about ≈10M topics extracted from Freebase knowledgebase. The topics span the various categories of Freebase including Science & Technology, Arts & Entertainment, Sports, Society, Products & Services, Transportation, Time & Space, Special Interests, and Commons. The relationships describe the hierarchies of topics in terms of Types, Domains, and Categories. For example, ‘Albert Einstein’ can be found as a topic that is a sub-class of ‘Person’, belonging to the ‘People’ domain and ‘Society’ category. Another entity named as ‘Albert Einstein’ can also be found as a sub-class of ‘Book’, belonging to the ‘Books’ domain and ‘Arts & Entertainment’ category. The dataset is published in JSON and CSV formats, sample files are provided to help explore how the dataset is structured. The dataset is believed to be useful for studying the inter-related connections among topics in different domains of knowledge. Design optimization for defect-free AISI 316 L/IN718 functionally graded materials produced by laser additive manufacturing
Additive manufacturing (AM) of functionally graded materials (FGM) has become an important growing trend in the research and development of various sectors. The main challenging issue is alloy design for the transition zone between terminal alloys so that the expected performance is achieved with minimal risk of defects. In this study, the transition zone design in AISI 316 L-IN718 FGM via laser-directed energy deposition (L-DED) is investigated concerning susceptibility to cracking defect, its formation mechanisms, as well as the design effect on mechanical properties. Consequently, the compatible design of the AISI 316 L-IN718 graded materials is established for laser-based AM. The evaluation of the gradient structures showed that the 75 % AISI 316 L-25 % IN718 region, with the continuous evolution of low-melting eutectic compounds caused by the formation of crystallographic texture in the build direction, is highly sensitive to liquation cracking, which occurs in the presence of thermal stresses arising from the deposition of subsequent layers. In addition, defects of porosity and oxide micro-inclusions intensify the discontinuity and cracking in the remarked composition region. Finally, it was demonstrated that the improvement of the dissimilar structure of AISI 316 L and IN718 alloys can be purposefully fulfilled by designing a compositional gradient in the form of a 50 wt% mixed region between the base alloys (FGM-50 %) resulted in the maximum mechanical properties (tensile strength 540 ± 10 MPa, elongation 52 ± 2 %, and toughness 24 ± 1.4 kJ/mm3)
Residual stresses and distortion in additively-manufactured SS316L-IN718 multi-material by laser-directed energy deposition: A validated numerical-statistical approach
In the present work, a numerical-statistical approach was used to study the distortion and residual stress in the additive manufacturing (AM) of SS316L-IN718 multi-material structure. Also, the structure was fabricated by laser-directed energy deposition (L-DED), and experimental measurements via thermocouple and micro X-ray diffraction were performed to validate the numerical results. In a good agreement with the experiments, the thermomechanical modeling of the process showed that through-thickness residual stresses (build direction) are distributed as a large accumulation of compressive residual stress in the mid-length of the structure-substrate interface and the maximum tensile residual stress at its two free ends. The critical development of longitudinal residual stresses (scanning direction) at the interface of the structure due to the sudden change in properties has caused the formation of the maximum tensile residual stress (up to 475 MPa) in this area and immediately changed its nature to compressive that can easily lead to localized cracking. Besides, Von Mises stress distribution indicated the concentration of stress at the interfaces of structure-substrate and base alloys, in such a way that it causes yielding in the SS316L section. On the contrary, less (plastic) strain occurred in the IN718 section due to higher yield strength. The results of the statistical modeling using multiple response analysis in the response surface method (RSM) also determined the desirable minimum level of longitudinal strain and stress of the structure (about 0.013 and 320 MPa, respectively) in the laser power range of 300–380 W and the powder per unit length of 5–25 g/m. In addition to minimization, it was demonstrated that sharp changes in longitudinal strain and stress at the interface of multi-material structure can be effectively reformed to mild changes by designing compositional gradients through thermodynamic calculations, owing to the approximation of the properties of adjacent layers
Gaya Bahasa dalam Puisi Aḥinnu ilá Khubzi Ummī Karya Mahmoud Darwish
Literature is an art mediated by language, while literary works are a product of imagination with the medium of language. A poem is a literary work that has a dense language of figures and symbols. Therefore, research is needed to analyse the meaning of a poem. One of the analyses of poem research is using stylistic analysis. The poem that is the object of this study is the poem Aḥinnu ilá Khubzi Ummī by Mahmoud Darwish. This poem describes the poet's longing for his mother, which is full of figurative language. This study aims to describe the various styles of language in the poem Aḥinnu ilá Khubzi Ummī by Mahmoud Darwish. The method used is a content analysis by describing the form of language style in Mahmoud Darwish’s poem. The results of this study indicate that the author uses several language styles in the poem, which include (1) hyperbole, (2) paradox, and (3) personification
Fruit quality, antioxidant, and mineral attributes of pomegranate cv. Ghojagh, influenced by shading and spray applications of potassium sulfate and sodium silicate
Pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) fruit quality depends on many traits including visual, biochemical and mineral characteristics. One of the negative traits is aril whitening (AW) which is a frequently observed disorder in hot and dry climates, that leads to decline in desirable fruit quality. Color, antioxidant, and mineral contents of the arils are of prime importance as quality traits. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effect of shading and foliar minerals on fruit quality during the fruit development stages of pomegranate. Treatments included shaded (50% green net) and unshaded trees and foliar application of trees with potassium sulfate (K, 1% and 2%) or sodium silicate (Si, 0.05, 0.1 and 0.15%) during two growing seasons. Results showed that the severity of AW at harvest decreased significantly when trees were covered with shading compared to control. The color values of L* and (0)hue for arils were lower in fruits grown under shading conditions indicating darker red arils. Shading significantly reduced chilling injury in cold storage compared to open field fruits. Shading and Si 0.15% increased superoxide dismutase, and catalase enzymes activity while decreased Polyphenol oxidase and peroxidase. Covering trees with shading and Si 0.15% spray resulted in the highest total anthocyanin, antioxidant activity, and total phenolics content in the arils. Shading as well as Si 0.15% increased macronutrients content of the arils. The study concluded that covering pomegranate trees and spraying with Si in hot climate reduced AW, increased antioxidant traits, and led to higher fruit quality
EKSPRESI BATIN DALAM SYAIR “TADHÎQU BINÀ AL-ARDH” KARYA MAHMOUD DARWISH (KAJIAN EKSPRESIVISME)
ABSTRACT - This research was conducted with the aim of revealing the personality background and life of an author through his literary works. The background of the author's personality and life is seen to help provide an explanation of the author's inner expression in the creation of his literary work. Mahmoud Darwish is an Arab poet from Palestine. He is also an activist who speaks out about Palestine in the form of poetry and has produced many poems on the themes of identity, exile, love and resistance. One of Mahmoud Darwish's poems is "Tadhîqu Binà Al-Ardh", this poem tells about resistance and survival which is full of suffering and sadness. Through the expressivism approach initiated by M.H. Abrams, who focuses his study on the expression of the author's feelings, thoughts or temperament which is carried out in this research so that it can reveal the inner expression of the author contained in literary works, especially in the poem "Tadhîqu Binà Al-Ardh" by Mahmoud Darwish. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method using written data contained in the poem "Tadhîqu Binà Al-Ardh" by Mahmoud Darwish which shows the expression of the author's inner world in the poem. This research data was collected using note-taking and literature study techniques, and analyzed by identifying, clarifying, analyzing and drawing conclusions. The conclusions contained in this research show that there is an inner expression of the writer in his literary work which reflects the feelings of sadness and oppression felt by the writer. Mahmoud Darwish uses symbolic and imaginative language to express his inner feelings in his poetry. Based on the result of the analysis of the characteristics of expressivism, there are four stages ini this research, namely: first, analysis of feelings and emotions in the poetry; second, analysis of language and writing style; third, analysis of the poet”s condition; fourth, the emotional response of the reader or listenser.

ABSTRAK – Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengungkapkan latar belakang kepribadian dan kehidupan seorang pengarang melalui karya sastranya. Latar belakang kepribadian dan kehidupan pengarang dipandang dapat membantu memberikan penjelasan tentang ekspresi batin dari pengarang dalam penciptaan karya sastranya. Mahmoud Darwish merupakan seorang penyair Arab yang berasal dari Palestina. Ia juga merupakan aktivis yang menyuarakan tentang palestina dalam bentuk puisi dan telah banyak menghasilkan syair-syair bertema identitas, pengasingan, cinta, dan perlawanan. Salah satu dari syair Mahmoud Darwish yaitu “Tadhîqu Binà Al-Ardh”, syair ini menceritakan tentang perlawanan dan keberlangsungan hidup yang penuh dengan penderitaan dan kesedihan. Melalui pendekatan ekspresivisme yang dicetuskan oleh M.H. Abrams yang dimana menitikberatkan kajiannya pada ekspresi perasaan, pemikiran atau temperamen penulis yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini sehingga dapat mengungkapkan ekpersi batin dari pengarang yang terkadung dalam karya sastra khususnya pada syair “Tadhîqu Binà Al-Ardh” karya Mahmoud Darwish. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengunakan data-data tertulis yang terdapat dalam syair “Tadhîqu Binà Al-Ardh” karya Mahmoud Darwish yang menunjukkan adanya ekspresi dunia batin sang pengarang dalam syair tersebut. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik baca catat dan studi kepustakaan, serta dianalisis dengan cara mengidentifikasi, mengklarifikasi, menganalisis dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil kesimpulan yang terdapat di dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat ekspresi batin dari penulis dalam karya sastranya yang mencerminkan rasa kesedihan dan penindasan yang dirasakan oleh penulis. Mahmoud Darwish mengunakan Bahasa simbolis dan imajinatif untuk mengungkapkan perasaan batinnya di dalam syairnya tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil analisis karakteristik ekpresivisme terdapat empat tahapan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: pertama, analisis perasaan serta emosi dalam syair; kedua, analisis bahasa dan gaya penulisan; ketiga, analisis kondisi penyair; keempat, respon emosional pembaca atau pendengar.
