Hypergeometric Solutions of Trigonometric KZ Equations Satisfy Dynamical Difference Equations

    No full text
AbstractThe trigonometric KZ equations associated to a Lie algebra g depend on a parameter λ∈h where h⊂g is a Cartan subalgebra. A system of dynamical difference equations with respect to λ compatible with the KZ equations is introduced by V. Tarasov and the second author (2000, Internat. Math. Res. Notices15, 801–829). We prove that the standard hypergeometric solutions of the trigonometric KZ equations associated to slN also satisfy the dynamical difference equations

V zadnjem delu diplomske naloge je avtorica primerjala ureditev teh kaznivih dejanj v Kazenskem zakoniku iz leta 1994, Kazenskem zakoniku iz leta 2008 (KZ-1) ter novelo KZ-1B, ki je pričela veljati leta 2012.In her diploma paper, the author represents criminal offences against road traffic safety in the Slovenian legal order from the year 1994, making a comparison with currently valid legal order. Special attention was paid to a criminal offence of causing a traffic accident through negligence and to a criminal offence of reckless driving in road traffic and/or dangerous driving in road traffic. A presentation of historical development of criminal law and development of provisions on safety of road traffic is added for a better understanding of the topic. The second part of diploma paper refers to the term of criminal offence, guilt and its form, which is necessary to understand criminal offence in road traffic. The paper provides also a presentation of reckless criminal offences. The third part of diploma paper is intended for Chapter 31 of Criminal Code bearing the title: Criminal Offences against Public Traffic Safety and it includes the following criminal offences: causing traffic accident through negligence (Art. 323 KZ-1), reckless driving in road traffic (Art. 324 KZ-1), endangering special sorts of public traffic (Art. 325 KZ-1), endangering public traffic with a dangerous act or instrument (Art. 326 KZ-1), abandoning of supervision in public traffic (Art. 327 KZ-1), abandoning an injured person in traffic accident without any help (Art. 328 KZ-1), hijacking of a plane or ship (Art. 329 KZ-1), attacking the safety of air traffic (Art. 330 KZ-1), destruction and removal of signs meant for safety of air traffic (Art. 331 KZ-1). The paper includes a detailed description of the criminal offence of causing a traffic accident through negligence in KZ/94 (Art. 325) and KZ-1B (Art. 323), a criminal offence of reckless driving in road traffic from KZ-1 (Art. 324) and a criminal offence of dangerous driving in road traffic from KZ-1B (Art. 324). And the last part of diploma paper shows a comparison of arrangements of these criminal offences in the Criminal Code from the year 1994, in the Criminal Code from the year 2008 (KZ-1) and an amendment of KZ-1B which came into effect on 2012

A note on generalized hypergeometric functions, KZ solutions, and gluon amplitudes

AbstractSome aspects of Aomoto's generalized hypergeometric functions on Grassmannian spaces Gr(k+1,n+1) are reviewed. Particularly, their integral representations in terms of twisted homology and cohomology are clarified with an example of the Gr(2,4) case which corresponds to Gauss' hypergeometric functions. The cases of Gr(2,n+1) in general lead to (n+1)-point solutions of the Knizhnik–Zamolodchikov (KZ) equation. We further analyze the Schechtman–Varchenko integral representations of the KZ solutions in relation to the Gr(k+1,n+1) cases. We show that holonomy operators of the so-called KZ connections can be interpreted as hypergeometric-type integrals. This result leads to an improved description of a recently proposed holonomy formalism for gluon amplitudes. We also present a (co)homology interpretation of Grassmannian formulations for scattering amplitudes in N=4 super Yang–Mills theory

„Arbeit macht frei” – kilka uwag o genezie i podłożu ideowym hasła na podstawie książki Wolfganga Brücknera "Arbeit macht frei: Herkunft und Hintergrund der KZ –Devise"

The following paper is based primarly on the extensive study conducted by Wolfgang Brückner in his book Arbeit macht frei: Herkunft und Hintergrund der KZ –Devise. The article aims to present the origin, social context and ideological background of the motto “Arbeit macht frei” and other related texts placed above the entrances to some of the nazi concentration camps. The author raises the question, to what extent was the act of placing of such a motto in a KZ a mere sign of cynism or a conscious demonstration of ideological conviction of the SS-members, internalized in the process of bringing up and socialization in a specific environment

Density conditions with stabilizers for lattice orbits of Bergman kernels on bounded symmetric domains

Let πα be a holomorphic discrete series representation of a connected semi-simple Lie group G with finite center, acting on a weighted Bergman space Aα2(Ω) on a bounded symmetric domain Ω , of formal dimension dπα>0. It is shown that if the Bergman kernel kz(α) is a cyclic vector for the restriction πα| Γ to a lattice Γ ≤ G (resp. (πα(γ)kz(α))γ∈Γ is a frame for Aα2(Ω)), then vol(G/Γ)dπα≤|Γz|-1. The estimate vol(G/Γ)dπα≥|Γz|-1 holds for kz(α) being a pz-separating vector (resp. (πα(γ)kz(α))γ∈Γ/Γz being a Riesz sequence in Aα2(Ω)). These estimates improve on general density theorems for restricted discrete series through the dependence on the stabilizers, while recovering in part sharp results for G= PSU (1 , 1).Analysi

Cooperation Towards Sustainable Development in African ACPs

Since the 1960s, the EC and its former colonies (African, Caribbean, Pacific ACP countries) have organised their economic ties around the Lomé conventions. The focus of this paper is directed at the substance of the ACP-EC cooperation on the environment within the framework of the Lomé IV Convention. The paper also examines the nature of the ecological crisis facing African ACP countries. The author notes that the ecological crisis in African ACP countries has been complicated by the energy crisis. The thrust of this analysis is directed at the response of Lomé IV to the ecological crisis in ACP countries. To this end, the author examines the relevant provisions of the Convention. The author concludes that despite its shortcomings, Lomé IV constitutes an important document of transnational environmental law

Bulldozers, homes and highways: Nairobi and the right to the city

In Kenya road building, widely viewed as an ‘unqualified human good’, is closely linked to an ‘Africa Rising’ narrative. In this paper the author argues that road building is an attempt to assert political authority derived from a longstanding developmentalist impulse, one in which private accumulation and spectacular public works go hand in hand. In light of massive infrastructural transformations, the author develops a conceptualisation of the right to the city: what is needed is a radical understanding of the city and its potentialities that wrests control of the idea away from a bureaucratic vision, and imbues it instead with collective meaning

Phys. 338, 1363-1409 For the spin representation of the affine Hecke algebra of type C, the quantum affine KZ equations become the boundary qKZ equations associated to the Heisenberg spin-1 2 XXZ chain. We show that in this special case the results lead to an explicit 4-parameter family of elliptic solutions of the dynamical reflection equation associated to Baxter's 8-vertex face dynamical R-matrix. We use these solutions to define an explicit 9-parameter elliptic family of boundary quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov-Bernard (KZB) equations
