Rowers girls leg muscle aerobic capacity indicators, to interface with the results of the competition.
Aim - set academic rowing rowers girls leg muscle power and aerobic capacity, interfaces with the results of the competition. Tasks: 1. To investigate and determine the rowers leg muscle power and force in the acute decline in vertical jumps. 2. To investigate and determine the capacity of the stress tests in the rowers of aerobic rowing ergometer and Set veloergometer. 3. Rowers girls leg muscle strength and aerobic capacity indicators, links to the results of the competition. The research object: the leg muscle strength, aerobic capacity. The research methods: analysis of scientific literature, antropometric measurements, tests, analysis of the results of the competitions, the mathematical calculations. Results: 1. The maximum height of a vertical leap from a local preparatory training period for the rowers in the girls remained unchanged. A statistically significant increase in fatigue index in 1 minutes, vertical jumping test. 2. Aerobic capacity indicators in a consistent and continuous aggravated test veloergometer boat ergometer in training a significant trend in the period remained stable, although the increase was. 3. Found that the young rowers match results have a significant correlation with the following parameters: full-length, boat speed, LAT (w/kg), the maximum test the maximum has been reached (w/kg), and relative maximum oxygen consumption (ml/kg/min)
The analysis of ice hockey players competition during age 10-11 years.
The object of research: The competition activity of age 10-11 Years ice hockey players The purpose of study: to carry out the analysis of ice hockey player competition activity during age 10-11 Years. The goals are: 1. Investigate and value the activity of ice hockey competition. 2. Investigate the physical readiness of young ice hockey players. 3. Determinate relationship between competitive activity and physical condition. Research methods: Analysis of literary sources, analysis of competitions and results protocols, testing, pulsometry, mathematical statistics. Conclusions: Competition activity analysis results indicated, that there are significant statistical differences in competition: shots on goal and substitutions. There is no significant statistical difference between registered data of scored goals in competition. During the research of competition activity, HR was recorder, it has to be noted that maximum HR was similar during all competitions but the most intense heart rate was during 3rd game period. During the research 10-11year old ice hockey player’s physical condition and fitness has been tested. Test results indicated that general physical condition of tested group is good. Young athlete’s are physically enduring and fast with the physical characteristics and complex skills necessary for the chosen sport, at a good level of development, which determines their sporting performance. The study identified strong correlating links between physical conditioning and competition activities. These correlating links were indicated by these physical tests: pull-ups, long jump, 2 lines touch skating
The effect of physical training on snowboarders' balance and jump performance.
The physical characteristics of snowboarders and methods of their improvement are not widely described in the scientific literature. Snowboarding is less studied compared to alpine skiing. Most research on snowboarding is limited by athlete injuries and biomechanical factors. Aim - to determine the effects of a balance-specific training program on snowboarders’ balance and jump performance indicators. Objectives: 1. To explore and analyze changes in balance and jump performance before and after the intervention; 2. To compare the performance of men and women before and after the intervention; 3. To determine the impact of a specific training program designed to improve snowboarders' balance and stability. Hypothesis - after a two-month physical fitness training, balance and jump performance indicators will show statistically significant improvement. Methods: analysis of scientific literature, testing of subjects (n = 15), who were active amateur athletes who regularly train during the winter season and participate in competitions, with the Biodex Balance System, Y-Balance, CMJ and DJ tests before and after the 8-week intervention; statistical analysis of the data with the JASP 0.19.3 software. Results - significant improvement were found in dynamic balance after the intervention in both male and female groups. Stability and sway indexes also improved in the male group. In the female group, significant changes were recorded in the changes of the Drop Jump test results. In the male group, there was only a slight change in the parameters of the Drop jump test results, with a significant change in the results of the maximal force. No significant changes were found in the Countermovement jump test. Conclusions: 1. After 8 weeks of the physical training programme, the snowboarders' balance parameters improved significantly and the jump results showed a partial positive change with a significant improvement in the Drop Jump test, such as jump height, maximum force and rebound velocity, but the results of the CMJ test did not reach statistical significance. 2. In both male and female groups, an improvement in balance performance was recorded, but males showed a greater progress in balance performance, while females showed a greater improvement in jumping ability. 3. A specific training programme aimed at improving balance and stability over a period of 8 weeks had a positive effect on the snowboarders' balance abilities, with a particular improvement in dynamic and static balance, confirming the effectiveness of the programme
Variation of heart rate with different distances in classic and free cross-country skiing styles.
The problem of investigation: In the modern world of cross-country skiing, there are a lot of changes in the process of preparing athletes, in the equipment and even in the technique. Although sports scientists Milašius (1997), Čepulėnas (2001) have studied Lithuanian elite skiers, their preparation for competitions, however, it is necessary to continue the research in order to educate and prepare skiers for today's ski races. An increasing use of anaerobic capacity of physical power and speed is observed in the preparation of skiers (Stoggl et al., 2010; Sandbakk et al., 2014; Hébert-Losier, 2017). Among the skiers, the classical, double poling style has become more popular (Stoggl et al., 2019), besides, the whole cross-country skiing technique is changing (Holmberg et al., 2013; Stoggl et al., 2016). Therefore, with the appearance of ski innovations, there is inevitably a need to analyse the impact of skiers' adaptation of physical exertion, the impact of evolving skiing techniques on speed, or new sprint events. The aim of study: To investigate the change in heart rate in terms of skiing style, distance, and speed. Objectives: 1. To study and determine the change of heart rate during classical and freestyle skiing. 2. To investigate and analyse the influence of sprint and long distance on heart rate. 3. To determine the relationship between skiing speed and heart rate. Hypothesis: The heart rate of cross-country skiers will be more frequent in sprint than in long-distance, and the heart rate will be lower in classical style than in freestyle. Study methods: The study has involved 8 male cross-country skiers who are members of the Lithuanian cross-country ski team (men's, youth, junior teams). Investigatives have been assessed for body composition, height, weight, and body mass index. The following methods have been used in the study: analysis of literature sources, pulsometry- heart rate data of the investigatives has been determined and recorded with a pulsometer during cross-country skiing competitions. The data from the GPS navigation system has also been recorded, which has measured the speed of skiers on the track and its carving. The above data has been collected during the competition period, sprint and distance events in the classic and free cross-country skiing styles. In the laboratory, double poling power and the recovery of heart rate have been investigated by a ski ergometer after physical work as well as the amount of lactate in the blood after exercise has been analysed. Mathematical statistics has been performed using ”IBM SPSS“ and ”Microsoft Excel 2010“ statistical programs. Results: When overcoming the long distance in the classical style, the average heart rate of the subjects in the distance was determined to be 176.2 (± 5.2) bpm, and in the sprint it was 178.5 (± 1.8) bpm. A statistically significant difference (p 0.05). In the free style distance, the average heart rate was 179.3 (± 4.4) bpm, in the sprint - 180.5 (± 3.4) bpm, which is the highest value among the studied objects. In the sprint, the statistically significant difference (p 0.05). Analyzing the speed on the whole track, in the distance race, there was a statistically significant difference (p <0.05), the higher speed was in the free style (from 1 min 51 sec to 2 min 11 sec and from 2 min 52 sec to 3 min 07 sec). In the sprint race, skiers were faster in both styles than in the distance. The average speed in the classic style was 23.5 (± 2.3) km/h, which is 2.4 km/h faster than in the distance race in the same style. In the freestyle sprint, skiers skied the fastest, 25.1 (± 1.9) km/h, which is 3 km/h faster than in the distance. A statistically significant difference (p <0.05) was found in the sprint race, it was bigger in the course of the competition in the freestyle (from 44 sec to 1 min 05 sec). Conclusions: 1. The change of heart rate of the studied skiers during the competition differs in terms of classic and freestyle. In the classical style the heart rate is statistically significantly lower than in freestyle cross-country skiing and overcoming the same ski events. 2. Different variations in heart rate were found among skiers competing in sprint and long distance races. The sprint race has a statistically significantly higher heart rate at the beginning and end of the race compared to the distance race. 3. A negative, statistically significant correlation was found, which indicates the opposite relationship between skiers' skiing speed during competitions and heart rate in both distance and sprint classic style races. As the skiing go up, the heart rate increases, but the skiing speed decreases statistically significantly
Orienteering athletes psichomotoric properties and short term memory evaluations after lightweight – middlle and maximum intensity load training.
Even tho orienteering is becoming more popular in recent times, Lithuania and in other foreign countries are missing scientific research about orienteering athletes physical, psichomotorical indicators and orienteering athletes psichomotoric properties and short term memory evaluations during lightweight - middle and maximum intensity load training is not researched at all. Study goal - evaluate orienteering athletes psichomotorical propertiesand and short term memory during lightweight - middle and maximum intensity load training. Methodology of the study - special lightweight - middle and maximum intensity running program load. Subject testing was done before tasks of the program as well as after middle and maximum intensity run load. Conclusions: 1. Averadge orienteering athletes psichomotorical reaction time to irritant was fastest after middle run load than after maximum load run. 2. The highest block memorie test results were after middle intensity run load. The highest recognitions of numbers, memory span and total time were determined before programs implementation. After maximum intensity run load subjects results were a lot smaller. 3. Group of athletes has an effect on majority of the test subject psichomotoric and memory span indicators
Analysis of Lithuanian mountain bike orienteering endurance racing activities.
The scientific practice in theory is still considering low about high performance athlets of MTBO. There is no comparative information analysis about the speed, navigation to the control and performance of athletes. The aim of the thesis – to identify operational characteristics of Lithuanian MTBO athletes during World Cup. The methodology of the thesis – the analysis about MTBO elite athletes and members of Lithuanian MTBO national team and them sport game‘s activity. Information was collected from the IOF Competitions documents and individual from athletes. Conclusions: 1. The tactical characteristic of Lithuanian MTBO cyclists at competition can be described as athlete's strategy, which depends not only on the athlete's speed of movement, selected navigation, technical and tactical factors, but sometimes a significant impact on the failures of equipment. 2. The intensity during the match of MTBO can be described as a change between aerobic and anaerobic glycolytic nature workloads. Lithuanian mountain bike orienteerers average heart rate varies between 164 to 198 bpm during endurance in sprint, medium and long distances. 3. The operational characteristics of Lithuanian mountain bike orienteering female and male athlets during the competition can be define in following regularities : 3.1. Female atlhetes in the long distances runs at a higher speed than in the medium or sprint distances. 3.2. Mountain bike orienteering competition in long distance has strong correlation with the results of competitions and distance traveled in a group of female athletes. 3.3. Significant relationship between distance traveled and speed was observed during competition in sprint and medium distance cathegories in a group of female athletes. 3.4. In a group of male athletes in sprint distance was noted strong correlation between the result of movement, speed and distance traveled
The aerobic capacity changes of different ages young orienteers in long term training.
The aim of this study was to investigate the aerobic capacity from different ages of young orienteers in long term training. The study embraced 34 orienteers. According to age (years) and gender (male, M; females, F), six groups of athletes were singled out: F12 — 14 (12—14 years famales) (n = 4), F15 — 17 (15 — 17 years famales) (n = 6), F18 — 20 (18 — 20 years famales) (n = 7), M12—14 (12 — 14 years mens) (n = 8), M15 — 17 (15 — 17 years mens) (n = 6), M18 — 20 (18 — 20 years mens) (n = 3). Althletes do the continuous consistently increased load test (CIL) who was carried out in cycle ergometer ERGO — FIT 177. Subjects were worked on cycle ergometer until complete fatigue. Pedal treading rate — 70 beats / min., workload has increased consistently during the entire test, the 5 W every 10 seconds. All time of the test, heart rate (HR) was recorded heart rate monitor \"Polar RS 800i, (Finland). Conclusions. 15 to 17 years old male characteristics observed in the aerobic maximum aerobic power (W) at the absolute maximum oxygen uptake (l/min), a significant decrease in the second and third year of the survey (p < 0,05). Significant changes girls 12 — 14 years of age were not found during the study period. 15 — 17 years old girls noticeable decrease in the accumulation of lactate threshold (W) and reached the maximum test power (W), the third study year (p < 0,05). 18 — 20 years old girls in the accumulation of significant changes in lactate threshold (W), heart rate at lactate accumulation threshold (beats / min), the absolute maximum oxygen consumption (l/min) and maximum aerobic power (W), the third year of the study (p < 0,05). Significant differences was found 12 — 14 and 15 — 17 years old boys in in the maximum heart rate (beats / min), relative peak oxygen consumption (ml/kg/min), heart rate after work after a minute, heart rate after work after 5 minutes of work (as a percentage of maximum), the accumulation of lactate threshold (W) test achieved a maximum power (W) (p < 0,05). Most significant differences in aerobic performance observed between the 18 — 20 years old boys and girls (the accumulation of lactate threshold (W), maximum aerobic power (W) and the absolute maximum oxygen uptake (l/min) (p < 0,05)
Muscle power and fatigue resistance during vertical jumping in orienteers of different age and gender.
The aim of the study was to estimate vertical jumping performance in orienteers of various age and both sexes. The study embraced 92 orienteers of national level. According to age (years) and gender (males, M; females, F), six groups of athletes were singled out: F15–17 (n = 19), F18–20 (n = 9), F>21 (n = 4), M15–17 (n = 21), M18–20 (n = 18), and M>21 (n = 21). After a standard warm-up, subjects performed maximal intensity vertical jumps on the contact mat sized 60x60 cm. After orienteers made jumps with and without arm swing (3 attempts each), all-out vertical jumps for 60 sec with a shock-absorbing squat to 90° knee angle, arms akimbo, were performed. The jump height was measured according to C. Bosco et al., using a flight-phase time as a sole indicator. There were no statistically significant differences in the height of the single vertical jump between age groups, irrespectively of the gender. However, statistically significant differences were observed in the height of the single vertical jump in all age groups in respect to gender. The comparison of vertical jumps performed by females with and without arm swing revealed statistically significant difference only between F15–17 and F18–20 groups, while the difference in jump height between two modes was statistically significant in male orienteers of all age groups (p < 0.001). F15–17 and F18–20 groups differed in respect to fatigue index during 60 sec test (p < 0.05). The different fatigue index was observed in respect to gender between orienteering athletes aged 15–17 years. Conclusions. Relative power of the leg extensors are related to gender but not age in young orienteers. In respect to jumping performance, young orienteers are more similar to track-and field sprinters rather than distance runners. In all age and gender groups, jump height was increased when arm swing was allowed. Anaerobic lactic capacity (endurance) of leg extensors (average relative power, or sum of the jump heights during 60-second vertical jump test) in female orienteers was lower in teenage groups when compared to young adults, but no relation of anaerobic lactic capacity in respect to age was observed in males

Purpose: To determine the aerobic and anaerobic capacity of rugby players and their changes during the annual training cycle. Object of the research: 1. Determine the anaerobic capacity of rugby players at different times during the annual workout cycle and compare preparation period changes between other periods 2. Determine the aerobic capacity of rugby players at different times during the annual workout cycle and compare preparation period changes between other periods Hypothesis: The hypothesis is that in different preparation cycle the result of aerobic and anaerobic capacity will be different, because it is foreseen that all the dominating rugby competition mobility abilities will be developed and improved, but during the competition period, which is focused on power development, aerobic capacity will decrease, mean while anaerobic capacity is expected to improve. Contingent of a sample: The study was attended by 10 players from different positions in the Rugby Club \"Tauras\", with an average age of 19- 25 years. Methods of the research: “Wintage test”, “Multi stage test”, 30 meter running test, vertical jump test from special platform, Pulse meters, ergometer for aerobic and anaerobic capacity determination. All of the lested methods for determining anaerobic and aerobic capacity were used to a different preparation period, during the annual workout cycle
Correlation between middle-aged peoples’ psycho-emotional state and level of physical activity
Objective. Determine a correlation between middle-aged peoples’ level of physical activity and psycho-emotional state. Tasks. 1. Determine middle-aged peoples’ psycho-emotional state. 2. Determine middle-aged peoples’ level of physical activity. 3. Determine the correlation between middle-aged peoples’ psycho-emotional state and level of physical activity. Methodology. Study subjects – 246 middle-aged people (45 – 59 years old). The IPAQ questionnaire was used to determine the level of physical activity. An adapted L. Reeder scale was used to assess psychosocial stress. Descriptive statistics analysis was used for the questionnaire survey data. We used a χ2 test to identify the relationship between two categorical variables. For the average comparison of indicators we applied the t- test. We applied the Pyrson correlation coefficient to evaluate the dependency between variables. Differences in the variables were considered statistically significant when p < 0.05. All calculations were made by using the statistical analysis package \"SPSS 17.0.\" Results. We found that 39.03% of the subjects experienced nervous tension, and 17.89% of subjects had stress. When assessing the level of physical activity, it was found that 73,58% of all subjects had high levels of physical activity, 20,33% had an average level of physical activity, and 6,1% of the subjects belonged to the group of low level of physical activity. It was found that with increasing age, sitting time on weekdays decreases. Longer sitting on weekdays and weekends has been associated with higher nervous tension and stress. Higher levels of physical activity have been associated with better ratings for nervous tension and stress, as well as shorter time spent sitting on weekdays and weekends. Conclusions. 1. It was found that 17,8% of all women and men studied experience stress. 2. High levels of physical activity were found in more than 2/3 of subjects. The difference in physical activity between women and men was small (74,3%; 72%). 3. It was found that higher levels of physical activity are associated with better assessment of nervous tension and stress
