    Mike Longworth was employed by C.F. Martin & Co. from 1968-95. He was an inlay specialist, guitar collector and historian, and served as a liaison between thousands of Martin customers and the company, answering questions about martin instruments. Longworth was credited with resurrecting the Model D-45 and designing the D-41. After his death, the company honored him by producing the Model D-45 Mike Longworth in 2005. C.F. Martin & Co., founded in 1833 and headquartered in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, is the world\u27s oldest surviving producer of guitars and the largest producer of acoustic guitars in the United States

    Mike Cochran was interviewed by Kenneth Martin on November 14, 1983. Cochran discusses being recruited by Texas Instruments after working on developing a scientific calculator in California. Cochran discusses working with his team at TI, attempting to develop a self-contained chip that would have everything required to do a computing function and ultimately creating a microcomputer chip. Cochran discusses his experiments with developing algorithms for the chip. Cochran and Martin discuss the development of the microprocessor and the roles Texas Instruments and Intel had in its creation. Cochran also discusses how with the support of management, redesigns of microcomputer chips led to the development of the SR52 and SR59 calculators. Cochran discusses moving to Lubbock and working for Texas Instruments there with his crew for eight months before being transferred to the corporate engineering center back in Dallas. Cochran also discusses his thoughts on IBM, the development of the home computer, and the cost differences between custom chips and standard microprocessors
