Michael C. Oliveira was hired as the Reference and Instruction Librarian/Archivist at ONE Archives at the University of Southern California Libraries in 2015. From 2006 through 2015, Oliveira was a project archivist for a series of grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the National Historical Publications and Records Commission. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh\u27s Master of Library and Information Science, Archival Studies Specialization program in 2005, he worked for the University Archives

The purpose of this paper is to provide a structural delineation of concepts which are generally applied. Two concepts will be discussed: satellite new towns that depend on an existing cultural and economic urban center and freestanding new towns that are completely independent of any existing cities.
