A physical collective memory: A new United Nations building in an former highway
A new department of the United Nations has to be built next to the current location in Manhattan New York: an new Environmental Council which will focus on sustainability policy on a global scale. The design has take into account the complex programme with three different users that have different demands: public, delegates and staff.Goal of the design was to design a building that could only fit in this context: that means in this case transform the former FDR highway into a public space and a new part of the public building.
