This can be done by means of passive or active thermal systems, which, besides typical solutions (coatings, MLI, radiators, etc.), requires either Loop Heat Pipes (LHP) or Mechanically Pumped Fluid Loops (MPFL). One application which requires such active thermal control is the ESM module of the MPCV Orion spacecraft, as part of one of the main international space programs (Artemis) currently undergoing as a collaboration between NASA and ESA, with the goal to bring the first people back to Moon surface after more than 50 years. Following closely this topic, COMOTI, the Romanian R&D Institute for Gas Turbines, is currently developing a centrifugal pump capable of meeting the ESM MPFL system requirements. The pump is a canned centrifugal type, designed to run with HFE-7200, with a duty point of 750 kg/h and 2.13 bard pressure rise. This one was developed in several stages, starting from initial design iterations (analytical calculus and CFD studies), and afterwards focusing on a comprehensive experimental evaluation with tests performed on demonstrators relevant for the hydraulic part/motor, and finally characterization of the performance in relevant environment at pump level on a dedicated dismountable EM (Engineering Model). The current paper addresses the approach followed for the development and experimental evaluation of the pump, presenting each step performed and main conclusions

This paper details the two original constructions of price indices made by the author in the last ten years. These constructions are a proposal of centennial price index and an over eighty years old Romanian cost-of-living index.statistical index, interpret index, cost-of-living index (CLI), consumer price index (PCI), harmonized consumer price index (HPCI), Schumpeterian index, centennial index.

THE PORTRAIT OF BOYAR MOŢOC IN THE WORK OF COMPOSER GHEORGHE MUSTEA

    No full text
The present survey aims at emphasizing Gheorghe Mustea’s ability to create a musical portrait of Boyar Moţoc, in his opera, “Alexandru Lăpuşneanu”. The overall portrait the author creates for this historical figure includes his psychological profile, suggestively presented in three different states, outlined on the relationship between two pillars (cause and effect and premise - consequence)

HYPOSTASES OF THE POLYPHONIC TREATMENTS IN GHEORGHE NEAGA’S INSTRUMENTAL CHAMBER MUSIC

    No full text
Gheorghe Neaga’s instrumental chamber music constitutes a rich repertoire with representative works for native academic music. The more so, since from the perspective of composition art, the author tended to the excellence of each element of musical expressiveness. As evidence of this can be considered his instrumental chamber works, including sonatas, suites for various instrumental configurations and instrumental ensembles, and not least, the infinite string of instrumental miniatures. Returning to the musical expressiveness, it is necessary to emphasize the fact that in Gheorghe Neaga’s instrumental chamber music is evident, in a different measure for each work, a polyphonic treatment which can be considered typical of the author. That is why the present article aims to present some principles and techniques used by the composer in his own manner in some of his creations offered as examples

THE PROBLEM OF FORM IN GHEORGHE NEAGA’S STRING QUARTET NO.3

    No full text
This article focuses on a form analysis of one of Gheorghe Neaga’s last works. With a bipartite cyclical structure, String Quartet No.3 fits perfectly into the category of demonstrating opuses for removing from the foreground of the classical quadrature specific to the quartet genre and replacing its importance with various other means of high artistic thinking and conceptualization of music. Thus, focusing on a modal language, the author also avoids the usual patterns for the inner forms of the parts of a quartet. In addition, Gheorghe Neaga doesn’t adapt the content to stunning developments, but gives his preference for heterophony, and the modal relations are integrated in the chromatic totality, so that the sound universe of the work gets a significant complexity

GHEORGHE CUCU – THE COMPOSER'S CREATIONS IN MANUSCRIPT

    No full text
In 1970, I.B.M.B.O.R. (The Missionary Biblical Institute of the Romanian Orthodox Church) published “Hymns of the Divine Liturgy arranged for mixed chorus”. This work contains only 50 hymns – just a small section of the composer’s creation. Nicolae Lungu, the author of the foreword on this edition, mentioned: “many hymns were issued in booklets, handbooks and musical periodicals; other hymns were preserved in manuscript, waiting to be published” (Gheorghe Cucu, Cântările Sfintei Liturghii..., (Holy Liturgy Songs...), Bucharest, 1970, p. IV). In this study we refer to the manuscripts kept in the Romanian Academy Library. Albeit much of Cucu’s musical scores were published and were shared by most of the Romanian and Diaspora choirs, there still remains an unexplored part of Cucu’s creation that completes the image of his personality as composer, conductor and professor

COORDINATION IMPROVEMENT OF THE “INVESTIGATION-ADMINISTRATION” TIES WITH THE AIM TO CREATE FAIR RELATIONS IN NATIONAL ECONOMY DEVELOPMENT

    No full text
The relevance of the paper is incited by the actual economic situation. In the article the author sets the goal to describe peculiarities of the relationship investigation-administration, specify the obstacles in obtaining positive results after the process of implementing the research results and give examples of methods for improving cooperation between science and administration. The methods used for achieving the goals are analysis and synthesis, and induction and deduction. The concluded key point is that the efficient cooperation of these two types of individuals (the researcher and the public servant) in economy is the most certain way to obtain fair relations in this field

THE MADRIGAL LET THE STARS SHINE BY GHEORGHE MUSTEA: COMPOSITIONAL PARTICULARITIES AND ASPECTS OF CHOIR INTERPRETATION

    No full text
In this article the author analyses one of the most valuated opuses from the choir music, written by Gheorghe Mustea — „Let the Stars Shine”. The author presents a classification of the composer’s choral music in accordance with the types of choir and after that analyses the nominalised madrigal. The article reveals the compositional particularities and aspects of interpretation, the dramaturgy and means of expression. The material of the article may be used by the choir conductors, who approach the national repertoire day by day

This article aims to check the hypothesis that contemporary writers should be prone to multiculturalism and multilingualism in the context of redefining Weltliteratur, as well as the liaisons between languages and cultures. To this end, the paper surveys several non-fictional works by Romanian literary critic Gheorghe Grigurcu, listing and explaining several terms in Latin, French, English, and German that the author weaves within the text
