Innovative Teaching: Movement for the Psychomotor Improvement of Students.

    No full text
This study explores the use of Body Percussion as an innovative approach in teaching, aiming to assess its psychomotor effects on students. By combining movement and music, Body Percussion can be integrated into the physical education curriculum. The experimental research involved 47 lower secondary school students, divided into two groups: an experimental group, where Body Percussion was integrated into physical education lessons, and a control group, which followed a traditional motor coordination programme. After eight weeks, the results showed a significant reduction in stress levels only in the experimental group and a positive trend in motor coordination improvement in both groups. Although the limited sample size calls for further studies, Body Percussion proved to be a promising methodology for enhancing student health and well-being, suggesting additional research to confirm its long-term effects.

The role of movement education in the contemporary crisis in the developing age · Digital hyper-connection, social isolation and economic instability are limiting children’s opportunities for play and movement, which are crucial for motor and social-emotional development. Reduced physical activity compromises health and the ability to relate, also affecting body identity. The work proposes the importance of new educational methodologies, such as synchronic movement, to foster healthy, balanced and resilient growth in a global crisis

The paradox of sustainability: Compensatory strategies vs. transformative education. Sincrony in a critical analysis.

Sustainability education often relies on compensatory strategies without rethinking learning models. This study explores the paradox of sustainability in education, arguing that integrating environmental competencies into curricula is ineffective unless supported by an epistemological and methodological transformation. A three-round Delphi study aimed to identify effective strategies that integrate bodily experience and environmental awarenes

Study on the integration of peripheral vision in physical education: The body as a tool for learning and balance in adolescents of the technological era.

asbstract: In the digital age, young people are immersed in a technological environment that limits physical movement and promotes fragmented perception, negatively affecting attention and motor skills. This study explores an innovative approach, integrating peripheral vision training into physical education to enhanceboth motor and cognitive aspects. The aim is to counteract the "disembodiment" typical of the post-human era, restoring the body’s central role. Fifty-six adolescents (mean age 12.6 years) were divided into two groups: experimental and control. Both participated in a three-month physical education programme, but only the experimental group received interventions based on the Sicrony method, focusing on pe-ripheral vision stimulation. Cognitive and motor performance were assessed through stand-ardised tests (TMT-B, SEBT, VST) at the start (T0) and end (T1) of the programme. The experimental group showed significant improvements in the TMT-B (p=0.003) and VST (p<0.05) tests, suggesting that body and vision training positively influenced attention and visual recognition. The findings support an integrated educational approach that values the body in the learning process, balancing the impact of technology and fostering balanced development. This perspective positions physical education as a tool to reconcile bodily ex-perience with contemporary technological interactions, supporting learnin

Impact of digitalisation on social relations: research, reflections and proposals for intervention. Journal of Inclusive Methodology and Technology in Learning and Teaching

The growing use of digital devices brings risks, such as emotional and social isolation, as well as identity fragmentation. This can hinder the development of key skills such as empathy and relational skills, compromising the quality of human interactions. The "virtual connection" tends to reduce active participation in group life and negatively affects motor skills. To counteract these effects, the Body Percussion emerges as an innovative alternative, encouraging direct and authentic interactions among young people. The research conducted in schools in Campania and Lombardy involved students in Body Percussion activities, with the aim of evaluating its impact on social and emotional development. The observed results show a significant improvement in social cohesion, inclusion and activity appreciation. Body Percussion stimulates emotional participation and strengthens interpersonal ties, promoting pro-social behaviours and encouraging collective work. Integrating Body Percussion into the physical education curriculum could provide an effective response to the negative effects of digitisation, helping to build more cohesive and resilient communities, and fostering active and collaborative learning models. In a technology-dominated environment, it is essential to recover forms of concrete and meaningful interactions
