    The Alfred Jacobsberg collection consists of very extensive correspondence between Alfred Jacobsberg and various members of the Jacobsberg family during Alfred Jacobsberg’s military service in the German army in World War I. There is both, incoming and outgoing correspondence with Max, Betty, Max, and Nathan Jacobsberg, Lina Mendelsohn, and other friends. Additionally, there is a small amount of business correspondence and documents dealing with Alfred Jacobsberg’s import business, and some World War I clippings.The Jacobsberg family was from Zinten, East Prussia, now Sindi (Estonia). He was a student of Waitz and Ranke and taught history in Berne and at the Technische Hochschule in Zurich. He was the author of a 10-volume work on European history.
