Les résultats du Chapitre 11 sont ceux de [Bou23].In this thesis, we construct a theory of motivic cohomology for quasi-compact quasi-separated schemes, which generalises the construction of Elmanto-Morrow in the case of schemes over a field. Our construction is non-A¹-invariant in general, but it uses the classical A¹-invariant motivic cohomology of smooth ℤ-schemes as an input. The main new input of our construction is a global filtration on topological cyclic homology, whose graded pieces provide a common generalisation of derived de Rham cohomology and Bhatt-Morrow-Scholze's syntomic cohomology. Our theory satisfies various expected properties of motivic cohomology, including a relation to non-connective algebraic K-theory via an Atiyah-Hirzebruch spectral sequence, the projective bundle formula, and pro cdh descent. The results of Chapter 11 have appeared as [Bou23]
Episode 2: The African American Experience of World War I
The Department of History’s Kayla Campana sat down with Dr. John Morrow, Franklin Professor of History at the University of Georgia and author of several books including Only America Left Her Negro Troops Behind: The African American Military in the First World War. In the interview, Dr. Morrow talks with Kayla about the contributions of African American soldiers to World War I and he discusses how many Americans overlooked black soldiers’ efforts, and even feared that their achievements would disrupt segregated American society.https://stars.library.ucf.edu/knightshistorycast/1001/thumbnail.jp
Alaska Justice Forum ; Vol. 17, No. 3 (Fall 2000)
The Fall 2000 issue of the Alaska Justice Forum features articles on the Anchorage Coordinated Agency Network (CANS) program, designed to enhance supervision and services provided to juvenile probationers; continuing efforts in the Alaska judicial system to improve access to justice in cases involving speakers of language other than English; and a review essay on the book “Newjack,” which describes how the prison experience influences the lives and relationships of correctional officers. Collaborating with peers in mental health research: Promoting equity or reinforcing marginalization
Presentation at the 15th Qualitative Methods Conference, Glasgow United Kingdom. Hosted by the International Institute for Qualitative Methodology (IIQM). The theme of the conference, Collaboration Considered: Complexities and Possibilities Across Communities and Cultures. Colleen and Marina Morrow presented the paper "Collaborating with Peers in Mental Health Research: Promoting equity or reinforcing marginalization?"
The purpose of this presentation was to draw on our experiences in Imagining Inclusion - a 2-year community-based participatory research (CBPR) project in community mental health- to examine the promises, challenges and pitfalls of integrating peer researchers into all phases of the research process. With reflections from peer research participants and a research team member we examined how our conscious CBPR efforts to dismantle `self-other' constructions resulted in productive and mutually beneficial relationships built on transparency, respect, and trust, built capacity and personal growth among participants, and at times perpetuated role distinctions and power inequalities between participants and research team members.Submitted for publication to Leisure Sciences (under review)
David Morrow on the Importance of Morehouse
Professor David Morrow, DMA, is director of the internationally-renowned Morehouse College Glee Club. In an interview conducted on May 15, 2018, David Morrow responds to Glee Club member Devin Johnson's question: "As a former Morehouse student, why did you stay at the college and become the director of the Glee Club?" Analytical model of reactive transport processes with\ud spatially variable coefficients
Analytical solutions of partial differential equation (PDE) models describing reactive transport phenomena in saturated porous media are often used as screening tools to provide insight into contaminant fate and transport processes. While many practical modelling scenarios involve spatially variable coefficients, such as spatially variable flow velocity, v(x), or spatially variable decay rate, k(x), most analytical models deal with constant coefficients. Here we present a framework for constructing exact solutions of PDE models of reactive transport. Our approach\ud
is relevant for advection-dominant problems, and is based on\ud
a regular perturbation technique. We present a description of the solution technique for a range of one-dimensional scenarios involving constant and variable coefficients, and we show that the solutions compare well with numerical approximations. Our general approach applies to a range of initial conditions and various forms of v(x) and k(x). Instead of simply documenting specific solutions for particular cases, we present a symbolic worksheet, as supplementary material, which enables the solution\ud
to be evaluated for different choices of the initial condition, v(x) and k(x). We also discuss how the technique generalizes to apply to models of coupled multispecies reactive transport as well as higher dimensional problems
