No full textIl contributo sintetizza il tema dei contrassegni adottati dai massari, ovvero dai sovrintendenti alla zecca di Venezia, per marchiare i ducati d’oro coniati nella Repubblica Serenissima. Il fenomeno della marchiatura delle emissioni veneziane è stato già in passato oggetto di ricerche limitate però al sistema di segni adottato per le monete argentee. Minor attenzione è stata data invece alle marchiature impresse dai massari sulle emissioni auree, anche per via dell’esiguo numero di segni conosciuti attestato per queste emissioni. La recente pubblicazione da parte di Matteo Broggini del cosiddetto tesoro di Montella, un corpus di almeno 210 monete d’oro tra cui sessanta ducati veneziani databili tra il XIII e XIV sec., oggi conservato presso il Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli, ha tuttavia permesso l’identificazione di nuovi tipi di segni, incrementando così il repertorio di marchi noti. Sulla base di un’analisi del nuovo materiale, effettuata alla luce dei dati provenienti da conii più tardi già noti in precedenza agli studiosi, gli autori ci offrono una sintesi della storia dello sviluppo del sistema di segni adottato dai massari veneziani a partire dall’introduzione del ducato nel 1284 fino alla fine del Trecento. Particolare attenzione viene data alla tendenza di tali segni a diventare sempre più complessi per permettere di distinguere tra loro i marchi dei singoli massari. In tale fenomeno è da ricercare la causa dell’abbandono verso il 1400 dell’impiego di un sistema di marchiature dei massari sui ducati aurei veneziani

Market selection in large economies: a matter of luck
No full textIn a general equilibrium model with a continuum of traders and bounded aggregate endowment, I investigate the Market Selection Hypothesis that markets favor traders with accurate beliefs. Contrary to known results for economies with (only) finitely many traders, I find that risk attitudes affect traders' survival and that markets can favor 'lucky' traders with incorrect beliefs over 'skilled' traders with accurate beliefs. My model allows for a clear distinction between luck and skills and it shows that market selection forces induce efficient prices even when accurate traders do not survive in the long run

No full textThe dissemination possibilities offered by digital technologies provide multiple ways of reading and fruition of the cultural heritage. In order to define a visualization and communication strategy through images, the paper shows some of the results of the ViC-CH Visual Culture and Cultural Heritage workshop, which involved the University of Trento and the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. The graphic elaborations focused on the Library of the Priest Seminar in Brixen; photomodelling, short films with drone shots and virtual visits have been some of the ways of manipulating the image for the animation and realistic visualization of a cultural heritage not easily accessible to date (The paper is to be attributed to Alessandro Luigini for paragraph 1, to Giovanna A.
