    New Mexico\u27s per-pupil school expenditures have increased by 1.6% from 10,614in2016to10,614 in 2016 to 10,785 in 2017 (NEA, 2017). Despite the increase, New Mexico spends approximately 89% of the projected 2017 national average of 11,984.ThischangecorrespondstoareductioninNewMexico2˘7sschoolfinancenationalrankto32ndoverall.1TheproposedFY2017budgetallocatedapproximately4411,984. This change corresponds to a reduction in New Mexico\u27s school finance national rank to 32nd overall.1 The proposed FY 2017 budget allocated approximately 44% of all new projected revenue for public education (101 million). This proposed budget allocated 2.84billiontotalforpublicschoolsinthestate.NewMexico2˘7sFY2017generalfundbudgetincreasedby2.84 billion total for public schools in the state. New Mexico\u27s FY 2017 general fund budget increased by 228 million (3.7%) over the FY 2016 budget, to 6.5billion.2TheFY2018budgetproposesadecreasetothepubliceducationgeneralfundof6.5 billion.2 The FY 2018 budget proposes a decrease to the public education general fund of 170 million to 2.67billion.Thisdecreaseincludesreductionsinfundingof2.67 billion. This decrease includes reductions in funding of 37.8 million in equalization guarantee, 30millionintransportationandinstructionalmaterials,and30 million in transportation and instructional materials, and 4.5 million in Governor allocated classroom reform funds.3 New Mexico continues to rely heavily on State sources of revenue to fund education. Federal sources equal 499million4whilelocalsourcesmakeup499 million4 while local sources make up 694 million5 of total revenue toward education. New Mexico also decreased combined higher education, funding from FY 2017 to FY 2018. The state FY 2018 proposal includes allocations of 779millionforhighereducation,downfrom779 million for higher education, down from 786 million in FY 2017. As of May 2017, it was unclear if this funding would actually funnel toward the various colleges and universities of the state as Governor Susanna Martinez has taken several legislative steps to strip this funding with the use of administrative veto. It may take some time until the fiscal challenges to higher education in New Mexico are clarified

    Although schools and universities face significant hurdles in implementing and sustaining a professional development school, the PDS movement has enjoyed increased popularity. While a growing number of case studies describe collaborative challenges that PDS partners initially face, little has been written about PDSs in later stages of development. What happens when, after more than a decade of collaboration, a PDS is “not working”? Who decides that a formal school-university partnership should end? This paper chronicles a formal PDS partnership between Trinity University and a public elementary school that was dissolved after 14 years of sustained efforts. After providing a brief history of the university-school partnership, the author describes a series of events over a 2-year period that led the university to end its formal partnership with the elementary school. Finally, a set of recommendations is offered for schools and universities to consider when developing formal partnership agreements

    Although many scholars regard Rev 1:7, 1:8, or 1:7-8 as thematic for Revelation, they have not substantiated their claim. Revelation 1:7-8, which highlights the cosmic parousia of Jesus Christ, is the multivalent thematic statement of the Apocalypse. Revelation 1:7-8 features a prominent allusion to Dan 7:13, which serves to unlock the multilayered meaning of the Apocalypse. To highlight Rev 1:7-8, the author uses such literary devices as poetry, inclusio, inclusive language, and liturgical dialogue. The author also uses chain-link interlock to connect Rev 1:7-8 with Rev 1:9-20, which is thematic. The author further links Rev 1:7-8 and Revelation 4-5 and establishes Daniel 7 as an allusion that controls these two central chapters. The author uses key words throughout Revelation 6-22 that resonate with Rev 1:7-8. With Rev 1:7-8 as the axis, the author expands the meaning of Christ's cosmic parousia in all its dimensions and ramifications

Target of the paper is to investigate feminist starting points and inclusive images as means of reviving trinitarian faith for present time. Deconstruction of Latin trinitarian theology of Sv. Augustine and Tomas Aquinas aimed at critique of detachment of immanent and economic Trinity in their works forms a basis for reconstruction of metaphorical speech on St. Trinity in metaphors of wisdom, friendship and perichoretic relation.
