    Diary of Martin V. Ringle (March 6, 1840-June 2, 1866), a 25-year-old single farmer who lived near Attica, Ohio, in Seneca County. The content of the diary includes his daily work schedules, personal accounts, and some dates of births, marriages, and deaths in the Libe and Ringle families. He also mentions day trips to Attica, Tiffin and Sandusky, Ohio. According to "History of Seneca County, Ohio: A Narrative Account of Its Historical Progress, Its People, and Its Principal Interests, Volume 2" by Abraham J. Baughman, Martin was one of eleven children born to George and Catherine Ringle of Seneca County. His siblings included John, Drucilla, Simon, Mary, Henry, Nancy, Ashael, Amanda, Harriet and Emma. Written at the end of the diary in a different hand is "Martin V. Ringle Died June the 2 1866 and was buried June the [text cut off]. His funeral was Preached in the Baptis Church, Elder Harcker. His age was 26 years three months to days.
