No full textThe lectotypes of Astrantia pauciflora Bertol, and A. diversifolia Stur are here designated and referred to the same taxonomic unit. The existence of significant differences between the Apuan populations of Astrantia (sect. Astrantiella) and centroapenninic ones are demonstrated by biometric methods. The author, after proving that Stur already had recognized two species but under erroneous names, describes the centroapenninic unit as a new species: Astrantia tenorei. The author provides also some data about the variation, distribution and ecology of Astrantia pauciflora and A. tenorei. © Taylor & Francis Group, LLC
