COORDINATION COMPOUNDS OF OXOVANADIUM(IV) BASED ON S-METHYLISOTHIOSEMICARBAZIDE AS DYES FOR THERMOPLASTIC POLYMERS
We have investigated the properties as dyes of coordination compounds synthesized by us previously (8-(1',2'-naphthyl)-1-R-3-methyl-6-thiomethyl-4,5,7-triazanona-1,3,5,7-tetraenato-1,1'-diolato(-)-O1, O1', N4, N7-vanadil, where R=CH3 (1) , C6H5 (2)), which can be used for colouring thermoplastic masses. The compounds have a high photostability (7 points), thermostability (>250°) and an intensity of colour that give a low consumption (0.006-0.010g)
The archaeological sites of Santa Cruz have provided important information about vegetation and climate changes at different spatial and temporal scales. In this paper we present methodological examples to analyze modern pollen and fossil record data of four archaeological sequences (CMN1 and COCU, at 47 ° S, 71 ° W and B1Oq and CPD at 49 ° S, 72 ° W) west of Santa Cruz. Based on these results, we discussed the scopes and interpretative limits of the data used. Our results indicate that the vegetation units were differed with statistical significance at local and regional scales for both areas. The studied sequences have allowed us to estimate the spatial representation of the fossil record through a Detrended Correspondence Analysis. CMN1 and CPD reflect vegetation changes at mesoscale verifiable with other natural sequences (47 ° - 49 ° S and 50 ° S), while COCU and B1Oq indicate a local vegetation signal. While should consider carefully the data scope to address the palaeoenvironmental question, that archaeological sequences provide valuable information and are very important in those environments where continuous natural sequences are not available. In this article, we conclude that statistical analysis are an important tool that complements our analyzes. Also, it is necessary to know the study areas particularities, the surrounding vegetation, its geomorphology and the spatial representation of modern and fossil records to reflect with high fidelity the pollen studies.Fil: Marcos, Maria Alejandra. Magnetic interactions in melt spun CoCu system
The magnetic interaction between Co clusters have been studied for the melt-spun CoxCu1-x systems. Superparamagnetic character of these clusters can be verified by the superimposition of the magnetization versus H/T curves. These curves also allow us to check, by means of the molecular field approximation, that there is an antiferromagnetic like coupling between the single domain Co clusters. This molecular field, which is in fact proportional to the magnetization, could be due to dipole-dipole, as well as to RKKY like, interactions

The studies of the natural zeolite - clinoptylolite in reduction of nitrogen
This article presents the results of the research in the area of the possibilities of the utilization of natural zeolite- clinoptylolite for reduction of oxide nitrogen. The clinoptylolite type zeolite has the unique structure, high resistance against hydrothermal conditions and the ability to form strong acid centers. Various kinds of metals ions were inserted into the samples of zeolite using ion-exchange method. The effect of metals content was shown for clinoptylolite matrix and related to the performance of its pure hydrogen form. A comparison of the catalytic properties of Cu-, Co-, Fe-, Mn- and Ni-CLI was carried out for the NO reduction with methane. A eries of doubly substituted CoCu-CLI catalysts with different metal loading were studied too. Over the copper and cobalt-CLI was observed high nitric oxide conversion, especially at temperatures between 400 and 500°C. It was confirmed that the copper-cobalt-CLI catalysts have higher activity and durability than catalysts composed of iron, nickel and manganese supported on clinoptylolite. Moreover, the iron, nickel and manganese containing catalysts produced more nitrous oxide than nitrogen. The presence of both copper and cobalt species seems to be an indispensable condition for the high activity and selectivity in the NO reduction
