No full textL’ultimo messaggio di Mario Mirri ai giovani passa attraverso un libro dove intreccia le sue memorie personali con l’analisi rigorosa del periodo storico. L’impegno partigiano raccontato senza retorica, la delusione per la politica e la scelta della docenza che ne ha fatto uno dei riferimenti del nostro ateneo. In ultimo un accorato invito, rivolto a coloro che oggi hanno la sua età di allora: scegliete "la prospettiva di un mondo migliore (..) di sempre maggiore giustizia in un contesto di libertà".Mario Mirri’s last message to young people consists in a book where he weaves together his personal memories with a rigorous analysis of the war and post-war period. His partisan commitment told without any rhetorics, his disillusionment with politics and his final choice of teaching as a profession are the foundation of his passionate plea addressed to the young: «Always choose the vision of a better world (...) of ever greater justice in a context of freedom»

No full textA partire dall'entrata in vigore delle Legge 17/99 e della Legge 170/2010 un numero sempre crescente di studenti con disabilità e successivamente con DSA ha finalmente avuto accesso all'Università dove ha potuto fruire di servizi e di misure compensative in sede di esame. In tal modo è stato possibile garantire loro il diritto alo studio e pari opportunità di formazione così come previsto dalla nostra carta costituzionale. Nel 2001 la conferenza dei delegati dei Rettori universitari alla disabilità è stata riconosciuta dalla conferenza dei Rettori delle Università italiana (CRUI) quale organo ufficiale per omogeneizzare gli interventi a favore degli studenti con disabilità e con DSA in tutto il paese. Il trend di crescita degli studenti con bisogni educativi speciali è assai elevato ed in particolare gli studenti con DSA che hanno avuto accesso alle Università sono cresciuti in lodo esponenziale a scapito di un numero di iscritti alle Università in calo rispetto al passato
Trigeneration system planning based on decision theory
No full textEnergy system planning is a multi-year process with significant uncertainty embedded in the variables affecting the planning decisions. This large uncertainty calls for the adoption of techniques of analysis based on the definition of suitable scenarios and of their probability of occurrence indicated by the decision-maker. This paper addresses trigeneration system planning by applying a decision theory-based approach, considering the net present cost as economic indicator. The application of this method shows the convenience of setting up a combined generation system to serve the simultaneous demand of electricity, heating and cooling load

Microgrids: Overview and guidelines for practical implementations and operation
No full textA microgrid is a small portion of a power distribution system with distributed generators along with energy storage devices and controllable loads which can give rise to a self-sufficient energy system. From the utility grid side, a microgrid is seen as an equivalent generator that is able to seamlessly disconnect and operate autonomously once a fault affects the main grid. The design, installation and operation of such systems lead to dealing with a number of technical and operational challenges including control, protection and infrastructure requirements. To help designers and researchers address these challenges and draw potential recommendations for practical microgrid implementations, in this paper a review of the main design features of existing microgrids is undertaken, also in light of the experience gained during the realization of the Prince Lab microgrid at Polytechnic University of Bari, Italy. The main control functions required to guarantee an economic, reliable and secure operation of a microgrid are also reviewed. Finally, key practical guidelines for monitoring, operation and implementation of microgrids are provided
