Lesteva (s. str.) brevimacula Ma and Li, new species (Figs. 1–3) Type material. Description. Measurements and ratios: BL 3.5–4.6 mm. Holotype: HL 0.65 mm, HW 0.68 mm, PL 0.73 mm, PW 0.78 mm, EL 1.60 mm, EW 1.40 mm, HL/HW 0.96, HW/PW 0.87, PL/PW 0.94. Habitus as in Fig. 1. Length 4.6 mm. Black, mouth-parts and antennae rufo-testaceous; legs dark, tarsi yellowishbrown. Each elytron with one small darkish red spot near middle. Pubescence pale, evident and recumbent on whole body. Head sub-triangular, coarsely and sparsely punctate, widest across eyes and slightly broader across compound eyes than long; vertex moderately depressed; eyes prominent; ocelli distinct, distance between them slightly smaller than that from lateral margin of each ocellus to mesal margin of eye; postocular margins less than half length of longitudinal diameter of eye; antennae overlapping base of pronotum by two terminal segments when pulled posteriad; antennomeres I moderately robust, II much shorter and narrower than I, III–X each elongate and thickened in apical half, XI as long as I, nearly fusiform; relative length of each antennomere from base to apex as 15: 9: 10: 9: 10: 10: 10: 10: 9: 9: 15. Pronotum subcordate, moderately convex, widest near anterior third, slightly wider than head; lateral margins rounded at anterior two-thirds and nearly straight at posterior third; more coarsely and densely punctate than on head; with paired shallow transverse discal impressions, one median and two admesal longitudinal antebasal impressions. Scutellum subtriangular, surface with fine punctation and pubescence. Elytra subtrapezoidal, gradually dilated posteriorly, posterior angles broadly rounded; punctation and pubescence slightly finer and sparser than those on pronotum. Abdomen broad, widest at segment IV (first visible abdominal segment), then distinctly narrowed posteriorly. Tergites with dense, fine punctation and decumbent pubescence; tergites IV–V each with one pair of tomentose admesal patches. Male. Sternite VIII transverse, posterior margin broadly emarginate. Aedeagus (Figs. 2–3) length 0.74 mm, parameres longer than median lobe. Female. Protarsomeres I–IV not dilated. Otherwise similar to male. Distribution. East China: Zhejiang Province. Bionomics. The type series were collected by sifting leaf litter and wet moss at the streamside. Etymology. The specific epithet ‘ brevimacula ’ means ‘small spot’, referring to the small spots of elytra. Remarks. Research on the Similarities between the Plot of Ji Chun Tai and Content of Sichuan Opera
Ji Chun Tai is the masterpiece of Sichuan dialect on late Qing Dynasty, composed of 40 vernacular short stories. It is divided into four parts, namely, Yuan Ji, Heng Ji, Li Ji, and Zhen Ji. Each part contains ten short stories. The author of Ji Chun Tai is a literator from Zhong Jiang who failed in imperial examination System in late Qing Dynasty. There are a large number of Sichuan Opera elements in those forty vernacular short stories. Generally speaking, the plot of Ji Chun Tai is full of ups and downs, together with relatively concentrated conflicts, which reflects the characteristics of Sichuan opera. Besides, the thought of persuasion and punishment, strong superstitious color, and detective story in Ji Chui Tai are combined together to reflect the characteristics of Sichuan Opera

1. Podalonia arcuaticlypeata Wang & Ma, sp. n. (Figures 1–6, 13 & 15) Material examined. Holotype: ♀, China, Xinjiang Province, oil field of Cainan, 45°36'N, 84°51'E, 24.V.2006, coll. Li Tingjing. Paratypes: 2♀, same data as holotype; 1♀, China, Xinjiang, Gongliu, 43°28'N, 82°13'E, 30.V.2006, coll. Li Tingjing. All type specimens are deposited in the Entomological Museum of China Agricultural University, Beijing, China. Diagnosis. This species resembles Podalonia chalybea (Kohl) in having an wholly black metasoma and a prominent spine on the forecoxa, but can be distinguished from that species and all other species of the genus by the following combination of characters: free margin of clypeus arcuate, without median lobe or tooth on each side (Fig. 1); claws with one small basal tooth on inner margin; metasomal segments without blue reflection. In Podalonia chalybea (Kohl): free margin of clypeus with a sharp tooth between median lobe and lateral section; claws without tooth on inner margin; and metasomal segments with blue reflection (Wu and Zhou 1996; Dollfuss, 2010). Description. Female. Body length 17–21 mm. Black; mandible subapically and tarsi partly reddish brown; wing and veins dark brown. Frons, vertex, collar, scutum and metasoma shiny, without blue reflection. Head, thorax and legs with long, erect, dark brown to black setae, and without appressed setae; propodeal enclosure glabrous; base of petiole with sparse, long, black setae ventrally. Head. Front view, head width: median length of head = 37: 30. Clypeus width 2.4 × its median length, with dense, small punctures 0–2 × diameters apart and mixed with a few large punctures; disk moderately convex, free margin just arcuate, without median lobe or tooth on each side (Figs 1–2). Mandible with one large, blunt tooth subapically and a small tooth on inner margin (Fig. 1). Frons with dense, fine punctures 0–1 × diameters apart; frontal line deeply impressed, extending to anterior ocellus. Inner orbits of eye straight and parallel. Ocellar area slightly elevated, and with a shallow groove around ocellar triangle. ODD: POD: OOD: IOPD: IODC = 10: 18: 24: 89: 96. Vertex slightly convex (Fig. 1), with sparse, midsize punctures. Gena with sparse, midsize punctures dorsally and dense, large punctures ventrally. Antenna slender, distal flagellomere truncate and smooth apically; relative length of antennal scape: flagellomeres I: II: III: VIII: IX = 10: 40: 26: 26: 20: 18 (Fig. 3). Mesosoma. Collar width: collar median length = 8: 5. Pronotum without rugae, with sparse, fine punctures anteriorly and dorsally, and with long, transverse and coarse rugae laterally. Scutum with sparse, fine to midsize punctures 1–3 × diameters apart, with sparse, short, obliquely transverse rugae at anterior lateral corner, and dense, short, longitudinal rugae posteriorly, rugae longer in middle, in some specimens rugae absent; admedian line conspicuous, extending to middle of scutum; parapsidal lines incomplete and inconspicuous. Scutellum slightly elevated, with sparse, fine to midsize punctures in anterior half, and with dense, short, longitudinal rugae posteriorly. Metanotum moderately convex and smooth, with sparse punctures in anterior half and sparse, longitudinal rugae posteriorly. Propodeal enclosure not delimited by carina, with dense, slender, oblique, transverse carina; posterior surface with dense, sturdy, transverse rugae and large punctures. Lateral surface of mesopleuron, metapleuron and propodeum with dense, sturdy, longitudinal rugae and midsize punctures. Episternal sulcus complete and conspicuous. Mesosternum with large punctures 0–1 × diameters apart and few transverse rugae. Wings. In forewing, marginal cell pointed apically, three submarginal cells present (Fig. 4). Legs. Forecoxa with conical process at inner apex (Fig. 5); foretarsus with rake of long spines and tarsomeres I–IV conspicuously asymmetrical (Fig. 6). Apical tarsomeres with small but well-defined arolium, claws with one small basal tooth on inner margin. Metasoma. Petiole slightly shiny, with shallow, longitudinal, median groove dorsally. Metasomal segments smooth, with several tiny punctures. Relative length of petiole: hindtarsomere I: II: III = 35: 51: 28: 21. Male. Unknown. Distribution. China (Xinjiang). Etymology. The name, arcuaticlypeata, derived from the Latin arcuat - (= arcuate), and Latin clypeata (= clypeus), refers to the free margin arcuate, without median lobe or tooth, which is one of the recognition characters of the species. Drepanura liuae Ma, Chun & Greenslade, 2015, sp. nov.
<i>Drepanura liuae</i> sp. nov. <p>Figs 1, 10−20</p> <p> <b>Types.</b> Holotype: female, Australia, Barrow Island, 20o 45’S 115o 25’E, 2005/2006, collected by S. Callan. Paratype: 9 females, same data as holotype. All deposited in SAM.</p> <p> <b>Description.</b> Body length up to 1.7mm.</p> <p>Background colour pale yellow or white in alcohol. Eye patch dark blue. Ant. III & IV and distal parts of Ant. I & II with blue pigment. Th.II −Abd. V with narrow blue cross band at the posterior area of each segment (Fig 1).</p> <p>Antenna 0.4−0.5 times as long as body. Antennal segmental ratio in length as I:II:III:IV = 1:3.2−3.7:3.0−4.0:3.7−3.8. Dorsal cephalic chaetotaxy with 4 antennal (An1, An2, An3a1, An3), 2 median (M2, M4) and 6 sutural (S0, S2, S3, S4, S 4i, S5) macrochaetae (Fig. 10). Eyes 8+8, G and H smaller, interocular chaetae as p, q, r, s, t, p chaeta larger than others (Fig. 11). Labral chaetae as 4/5, 5, 4, all slender and smooth; prelabral chaetae ciliate; labral papillae not clearly seen (Fig. 12). Labial triangular chaetae as M, R, E, L1, L2; all finely ciliate (Fig. 13).</p> <p>Dorsal macrochaetae of thorax as in Fig. 14. Th. II with 3 (m1, m2, m 2i) macrochaetae in Mm area and 5 (m 4i, m4, m4pi, m4p, a5) macrochaetae in Ms area. Th. III with 3 (a1, a2, a3) macrochaetae in Am area and 6 (a 4i 2, a 4i, a4, a5, m 5i, m5) macrochaetae in As area. Trochanteral organ with about 14 smooth chaetae (Fig. 15). Tibiotarsus with several inner differentiated ciliate chaetae, roughly arranged in 2 rows, most distal one on hind leg smooth. Tenent hair thick with tip clavate, 0.9−1.2 × length of inner side of unguis. Unguis with 4 inner teeth, first pair at 0.4−0.5 distance from base of claw, and 2 unpaired teeth, first one at 0.7−0.8 and distal one at 0.8−0.9 distance from base respectively; outer and lateral teeth not clearly seen. Unguiculus acuminate with outer edge serrate (Fig. 16).</p> <p>Abd. IV 4.0−7.0 times length of Abd. III along dorsal midline. Dorsal macrochaeta shown in Figs 17−18. Abd. I with 3 (m2, m3, m4) macrochaetae on each side. Abd. II with 3 central (a2, m3, m3e) and 1 lateral (m5) macrochaeta. Abd. III with 2 central (a2, m3) and 3 lateral (am6, pm6, p6) macrochaetae (Fig. 17). Abd. IV with 14 central (A4, A5, A6, B3, B4, B5, B6) and 14−18 lateral macrochaetae (Fig. 18). Manubrium with many ciliate chaetae on ventrally and dorsally; manubrial plaque with 4 chaetae and 2 pseudopores on each side (Fig. 19). Dens without spines, length of uncrenulated distal part of dens 2.0−2.8 times that of mucro. Mucro falcate, tip of basal spine not reaching apex of the tooth (Fig. 20).</p> <p> <b>Etymology.</b> Named after Miss Liu Li, whose help was essential for our paper.</p> <p> <b>Remarks.</b> The new species, <i>D. liuae</i> <b>sp. nov.</b> can be distinguished from all known species in the colour pattern. Although it is similar to the Australian species <i>D. coeruleopicta</i>, <i>D. liuae</i> <b>sp. nov.</b> has one cross-band on Abd. IV, whereas <i>D. coeruleopicta</i> has two bluish cross-bands on Abd.
