The design of a vertical curriculum: travelling with mathematics
Full text linkIn this paper the authors present a reflection concerning a possible vertical curriculum in Mathematics. It needs to consider epistemological aspects related to the teaching-learning of math and linked to the suggestions of the Italian National Curriculum. In this case the Vergnaud's Theory of Conceptual Field and the Brousseau's Theory of Situations could prove to be useful for teachers to provide students with fruitful situations so that, facing them, they can construct mathematical knowledge.</jats:p

Primaria, finalizzato alla concettualizzazione della simmetria
assiale e delle sue proprietà, in cui un ruolo cruciale è giocato
dall’uso sinergico di artefatti manipolativi e artefatti virtuali. Tale
proposta è basata sulla progettazione, l’implementazione e l’analisi
dei risultati di un progetto di ricerca avente come quadro teorico
quello della Mediazione Semiotica. L’obiettivo dell’articolo è quello
di descrivere il processo di progettazione del percorso nel quadro
teorico scelto, e offrire un’analisi dei momenti chiave dell’azione
didattica.This paper concerns a teaching sequence for Primary School aiming
at the conceptualization of the axial symmetry and its properties. A
crucial role in the sequence has been played by the synergic use of
manipulatives and virtual artefacts. This work is based on the design,
the implementation and the analysis of a research project framed on
the Theory on Semiotic Mediation. The aim of the paper is to describe
the design process within the chosen theoretical framework and to
