No full textThe problem of different production strategies has been studied in relation to reserves selection and a computer program for ore production management has been developed. The case study presented concerns a rock salt mine in Sicily with different production lines and variable ore characteristics. A geostatistical block modeling of the deposit was constructed on the basis of the physical and chemical parameters that ultimately determine the type of end-product. Mining operations according to different selection strategies were simulated using the model and taking into account of both technical and commercial constraints. The structure of an ore production managing programme running on a PC to select both the mining unit and the end-use of the ore is described

EVALUATION AND SELECTION OF RECOVERABLE RESEREVES IN A SUL LEVEL STOPING MINE
No full textThe paper describes a computer procedure for evaluating and selecting recoverable reserves in a mine worked by sub level stoping. The boundaries of the volume to be mined are optimally defined by means of 3-dimensional Lerch-Grossman algorithm, separately applied to both sides of the panels. The procedure which has been developed for Masua Mine (Sardinia), also provides for smoothing the optimized boundaries, positioning the drilling drifts, interactive design of drilling fans and calculation of tonnage and grade of each volley. These tonnages and grades form the input of another procedure evolved for production planning

No full textLo stato delle conoscenze sulle questioni della omogeneizzazione e dello stoccaggio dei materiali sciolti nell’industria è stato oggetto di una approfondita ricerca bibliografica, cui ha fatto seguito una impostazione metodologica e di tecnica della modellizzazione e simulazione dei processi. Su tali basi sono stati costruiti modelli semplificati di elementi costitutivi degli impianti di omogeneizzazione. In questa nota vengono presentati i risultati essenziali dell’analisi con particolare riguardo alla metodologie adottate e all’affidabilità delle procedure seguite. Vengono quindi analizzate le problematiche connesse alla attuazione pratica della modellizzazione e simulazione su computer di un processo di omogeneizzazione e stoccaggio mediante stockpile longitudinale e si descrivono le grandi linee dell’impostazione metodologica e tecnica per la costruzione del modello dei processi e delle caratteristiche di alimentazione
