No full textThis article is concerned with the activity of the German pastor B. Ringwaldt (1530/31 - 1599) as a translator. In 1597 Ringwaldt translated Daniel Cramer's Latin comedy "Plagium" (1593). The translation was his last work and belong to his minor writings. The essential aim of this paper is to compare Ringwaldt's tranlation with the original and with two other contemporaneous translations. The results of the comparison will enable us to make some remarks not only about Ringwaldt's translation method, but also about his own style as a writer

The essential aim of the work is to compare the reprint with the original, in order to highlight the chief variations. The linguistic phenomena regarded as the most important ones will be taken into consideration, with particular reference to those phonological and graphematic kind. The results of the comparison will enable us to make some remarks about the degree of diffusion of the over-dialect features of the Lutheran language as well as more general observations about the development of the German language at the beginning of the sixteenth century

Ringwaldt (1530/31 - 1599): "Die lauter Warheit" (1585), "Christliche Warnung des Trewen Eckarts" (1588) e "Speculum mundi" (1590). Ringwaldt è uno dei principali autori di provenienza protestante-luterana della seonda metà del XVI secolo. L'edizione critica segue i criteri della serie ADL (Ausgaben deutscher Literatur des XVI. bis XVIII. Jahrhunderts) a cui appartiene. Accanto all'edizione filologicamente corretta dei testi, essa offre un ricco apparato critico che comprende fra l'altro la presentazione dei numerosi testimoni, la documentazione delle lezioni varianti e un commento ai testi
