Magi (Modèle d'approvisionnement global informatisé)
Full text linkMagi a été développé en Visual Basic.Net. La structure de données est implémentée sous Access. Il s'agit d'une application windows qui s'installe en local. Les données ne sont donc pas partagées. C'est un outil convivial et simple d'utilisation qui ne demande aucune connaissance particulière. Le logiciel est traduit en Français et en Anglais. Une aide en ligne est fournie avec l'application. Elle est accessible à partir de chaque formulaire de Magi et peut être consultée indépendamment. Deux manuels de l'utilisateur, un en français et un en anglais, ont été rédigés en parallèle pour compléter l'aide. Tous les documents et fichiers relatifs à MAGI sont téléchargeables à partir de la rubrique téléchargement Magi, aprés avoir créer un pseudo et mot de passe

No full textLa tradizione orientale sui magi, costituita dai Vangeli apocrifi e da un cospicuo insieme di leggende riferibili ad un nucleo iranico zurvanita, costituisce una chiave di interpretazione della figura e della funzione dei magi della letteratura evangelica. Intorno ai magi ruotano narrazioni di profondo significato religioso, velato da elementi simbolici: dalla leggenda del Mons Victorialis, alla tradizione del Cristo medico, al racconto di Marco Polo ed altre che costituiscono un patrimonio culturale notevole, raccolto e rivisitato nella tradizione occidentale, dai Padri della Chiesa a Giovanni da Hildesheim. L'arte ha saputo tradurre e rappresentare tale complessità, come dimostrano gli esempi analizzati, dall'arte paleocristiana al pieno rinascimento. Enhancing the performance of a parallel solver for turbulent reacting flow simulations
No full textThis article describes results of an effort to improve the parallel efficiency of a solver for turbulent reacting flows on two computer architectures. The compact finite-difference scheme employed for the solution of the differential equations involves the inversion of multiple tridiagonal matrices at each time step. Detailed performance evaluation of the standard LU, parallel partition LU, and parallel diagonal dominant algorithms are presented. The speed-up and efficiencies of these parallel strategies are critically compared and evaluated based on both computation and communication complexities, on the CRAY XT4 and IBM Blue Gene/P architectures.Mohamed Sayeed, Vinicio Magi, and John Abraha

A computational investigation of the interaction of pulses in two-pulse jets
No full textLarge-eddy simulations (LES) and Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) simulations of the interaction of the second pulse with the first pulse in a double-injection event are presented in this study. The opposing effects of the turbulence generated by the first pulse to accelerate mixing of the second pulse, and the residual bulk velocity from the first pulse to accelerate penetration of the second pulse are analyzed.
