Julio Cano Lasso, Drawing, Architecture and Landscape
No full text[ES] Se cumplen cien años del nacimiento de Cano Lasso (1920-1996), un clásico entre los maestros de la arquitectura moderna española. Merecedora de la Medalla de Oro (1991), su obra ha tenido una repercusión de alcance internacional que perdura. Recibió premios y galardones, y goza de un notable reconocimiento por parte del gran público.Las causas de ese éxito podrían deberse a una obra de calidad dilatada en el tiempo y la geografía que, con diversos acentos, nunca pierde intensidad en sus planteamientos. Y esa continuidad se basa en una confianza desprejuiciada en la modernidad y en la tradición bajo el prisma de una visión humanística del mundo y del progreso espiritual. Su actitud de ascetismo y austeridad sabe deleitarse en los regalos que gratuitamente ofrece la naturaleza, respetándola. Su ejemplo es oportuno para afrontar los retos actuales del diseño contemporáneo.Este texto arroja una mirada sobre los dibujos que pretende resaltar sus valores de esencialidad e intemporalidad. Cuando la cultura visual de la forma parece abocarse al diseño paramétrico, Cano Lasso reivindica “el dibujo” -sin adjetivos- como herramienta idónea para configurar la realidad arquitectónica en el territorio, con criterios de sostenibilidad, eficiencia y respeto al medio ambiente.[EN] It is one hundred years since the birth of Cano Lasso (1920-1996), an outstanding figure among the masters of modern Spanish architecture. Deserved winner of the Gold Medal (1991), his work has had a lasting international impact 1. He has received prizes and awards, and enjoys considerable recognition 2 by the general public.The reasons for this success could be due to a work of quality that has been produced over an extensive period of time and geographical location, which, with different accents, never loses intensity in its approaches. And this continuity is based on an unprejudiced confidence in modernity and tradition under the prism of a humanistic vision of the world and of spiritual progress. His attitude of asceticism and austerity knows how to delight in the gifts freely offered by nature, while respecting it. His example is timely in facing the current challenges of contemporary design.This text takes a look at drawings and aims to highlight their values of essentiality and timelessness. Cano Campos presents in this text the diverse meanings of the concept “guilt / deceit / fault” distinguishable for the context of legislative application, which in addition is clearly differentiated by the author: administrative infractions (personal responsibility and for the fact, subjective responsibility and imputation or guilt in strict sense) and infractions of traffic (responsibility parental before the infractions of underage, responsibility in the suppositions of not identification of the driver, infractions relative to vehicles, subsidiary responsibility not disciplinary, personal imputation or reprochabilidad, minority and psychic disorder and imputation for consumption of alcohol).El artículo de Tomás Cano Campos trata de ligar unánimemente los conceptos: culpabilidad y sanción administrativa siendo este último concepto principio del Derecho administrativo sancionador.

No full textBiographical sketch of Ignacia Cano Read, born in 1831. She was a woman from New Placeres, New Mexico, Golden, Cerrillos area. Ignacia was the daughter of Don Ignacio Cano. Parents died and she and children orphaned, given to rich families to care for and bring up in their home, raised as slaves said this writer, was a criada, criado, adopted child, no formal education, but came out a good moral person, able worker, pious, respected, cared for the poor and her family. Marriage to Benjamin F. Read, of Baltimore, Maryland, a government employee, Santa Fe, was a good mother, her children, they moved to Las Cruces, in Old Mexico, returned to Santa Fe, the death of her husband in 1854, she went to work for others for small wages, her struggle to support and educate her children, instead of putting them in an orphanage. Her second marriage 1860 to Mateo Ortiz, her children from her second marriage, her death in 1878. Her children, their educations and careers. Women, Hispanic. No author noted. No full textAnalizada globalmente la obra total de Alonso Cano, se hace evidente que el concepto que el artista tuvo y practicó de la forma plástica revela bien a las claras una vocación fundamentalmente de escultor, sin que en nada se contradiga su apasionamiento y aguda capacidad para el
color y para la creación de los espacios pictóricos y arquitectónicos. Pero, al final, pienso que Cano ve siempre la forma, libre y con plenitud, como volumen en redondo. Curiosamente, es bien significativo —por lo que hasta hoy se conoce—, que no practicara el relieve escultórico,
modalidad de mayor naturaleza pictórica dentro del propio lenguaje escultórico.In the following study, Alonso Cano's polifacetic activity is approached from the point of view of his work as sculptor, focusing on the manyfold connections among his ideas on plastic art which are displayed in his sculptures, paintings, architecture and drawings. Instead of providing a detailed account of the differences between Cano as sculptor and Cano as painter or architect, the author aims to show what is common in his creations, considering these as "multiple" though being the outcome of one individual's concept and making. Besides that, new ascriptions corresponding to his Granadian period are brought to come to a final proposal for a catalogue of Cano's sculptoric work

No full textEn el libro La ciudad y su paisaje, que el autor
define como muy alejado del urbanismo, Julio
Cano recoge sus reflexiones sobre la ciudad
histórica por medio del estudio de varias ciudades
españolas analizadas a través de numerosos
dibujos. Destaca la importancia dada a la ciudad
de Madrid en dos vertientes: su relación con el
paisaje circundante mediante su fachada urbana
volcada sobre el río Manzanares, y su paisaje
interior, ejemplificado por la escena urbana
formada por las calles Gran Vía y Alcalá.
En el libro se entremezclan análisis de la situación
histórica y actual de los conjuntos madrileños
con propuestas de actuación para ellos.
Estas propuestas, como el parque lineal para el
Manzanares o la ampliación del Ministerio de
Marina, resultan muy similares a actuaciones
construidas con posterioridad en los mismos
escenarios de la ciudad como son Madrid Río
y la ampliación del Banco de España de Rafael
Moneo. En esta investigación se analizan las
convergencias y divergencias, metodológicas y
morfológicas, entre las propuestas teóricas de
Julio Cano y los proyectos construidos referidos
anteriormente. Se pretende poner en valor
los planteamientos urbanos de Julio Cano
Lasso, y su consideración de la ciudad como
la más importante creación humana.In his book The city and its landscape, Julio
Cano collected his reflections on the historical
city. In this book, which the author defines
as far from urbanism, several Spanish cities
are studied, through texts and numerous
drawings. It is stricking the importance
given to the city of Madrid in two ways: its
relationship with the surrounding landscape
through its urban facade overturned on the
Manzanares River, and its interior landscape,
exemplified by the urban scene formed by the
Gran Vía and Alcalá streets.
The book analyzes the historical and current
status of these urban ensembles of Madrid
and also suggests possible lines of action in
them. These proposals, such as the Linear
Park of Manzanares River or the Ministry
of Marine extending, are very similar to urban
projects actually built in the city some years
later, as Madrid Río and the Bank of Spain
expansion of Rafael Moneo. In this research
we analize the convergences and divergences,
both methodological and morphological,
between Julio Cano’s theoretical proposals
and those real projects. It aims to focus
on Julio Cano Lasso’s urban approaches
and his consideration of the city as the most

No full textEste trabajo, inscrito en la línea de la Historia Intelectual y con un enfoque biográfico, reconstruye la trayectoria vital e intelectual de Baldomero Sanín Cano (1861-1957) desde sus inicios hasta su viaje hacia el extranjero en 1909. A partir de la teoría de los rituales de interacción de Randal Collins, se sigue de cerca su recorrido formativo y se rastrean las redes sociales e intelectuales a las que el autor se adscribe. Con apoyo en el relevo generacional propuesto por Karl Mannheim, se identifican los temas en debate y las posturas que el personaje, enmarcado en su generación, asume a lo largo del último tercio del siglo XIX en medio del agitado ambiente político, económico y cultural de una nación apenas en proceso de consolidación. En cuanto al intelectual, su definición y función social, se acogen las ideas de Carlos Altamirano y Mannheim. El concepto de nación y su dinámica se entiende en términos de “comunidad imaginada” de Benedict Anderson, “ciudad letrada”, de Ángel Rama y “ciudad burguesa”, de José Luis Romero. Lo biográfico se orienta desde François Dosse y Gilberto Loaiza Cano, principalmente. La prensa es la mayor fuente primaria, pero se aprovecha todo tipo de documentos. La investigación esclarece aspectos como el origen familiar del personaje, su formación temprana y sus incursiones iniciales en la vida intelectual. Identifica puntos de crisis y giros clave en el trazado de las ideas del autor antioqueño quien, en clara discrepancia con el hispanoamericanismo impuesto por el gobierno de la Regeneración, se decanta por caminos que desembocan en el modernismo artístico, literario, y en parte, el político, pues con ese criterio participó en el gobierno del General Rafael Reyes. Adicionalmente, se rescatan varios artículos desconocidos del autor, ampliándose así la base de análisis para futuros estudios de su obra. Agriculture, Ecosystems & Environment, 338, 108085, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.agee.2022.108085.In the study of Mediterranean grasslands, field students identified two large groups of grasses belonging to two phytosociological classes: Stellarietea mediae, of interest as a CO2 sink and as a pasture for cattle and horses, and Poetea bulbosae, of great importance for sheep farming. Coverage of the study plots is between 60-100%. Hordeum leporinum communities absorb high amounts of CO2 and can support 1.8 cows/ha/year, while Poa bulbosa communities can support 25 sheep/ha/year. Both classes are identified and studied in the field and in the laboratory by the students of the double master's degree Olive and Olive Oil and Teaching, ESO, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training or Language Teaching. The student in the field learns to take data, and then in an analytical phase in the laboratory to differentiate the inventories on the basis of floristic composition, so he has been able to differentiate the alliances of the two classes studied in depth, as is the case of Hordeion leporini and Trifolio subterranei-Periballion. An active didactic methodology is applied, in which the students assimilate 100% of the contents, and obtain a training that enables them to defend the conservation of Mediterranean grasslands. In short, this work combines botany with education to achieve a sustainable current development, but also to ensure the future of the planet.
