No full textNel saggio si esamina l’evoluzione dell’Associazione nazionalista italiana, con specifico riguardo alla sua progressiva rielaborazione delle idee di patria e di nazione, così come precedentemente coniugate in epoca risorgimentale e postrisorgimentale. Si prendono le mosse dal gruppo raccoltosi attorno all’«Idea Nazionale» (Enrico Corradini e altri), originatore delle svolte antidemocratica e, con il decisivo contributo di Alfredo Rocco, antiliberale dell’ANI rispettivamente nel 1912 e nel 1914. Particolare attenzione è quindi rivolta all’atteggiamento dei nazionalisti riguardo alla Grande Guerra e all’interventismo, alla crisi postbellica e alla sua gestione da parte della classe politica liberale. Sono altresì analizzati i non lineari rapporti dell’ANI con fiumanesimo e fascismo, fino alla sua non indolore fusione con il PNF nel 1923, in un contesto mutato dall’epilogo della marcia su Roma.This essay examines the evolution of the Italian Nationalist Association, specifically concentrating on its gradual re-elaboration of the ideas of fatherland and nation as they were previously understood during the Italian Risorgimento and post-Risorgimento. The initial focus is the group gathered around «L’Idea Nazionale» (Enrico Corradini and others), originator of the antidemocratic and, with the decisive contribution of Alfredo Rocco, antiliberal turns of ANI in 1912 and 1914, respectively. Particular attention is then paid to the nationalists’ attitude towards the Great War and interventionism, the post-war crisis and its management by the liberal political class. ANI ’s non-linear relations with fiumanism and fascism are also analysed, up to its not painless merger with the PNF in 1923, against the new backdrop outlined by the epilogue of the March on Rome

No full text“La Patria: diario liberal” fue una publicación que circuló durante el periodo 1913-1918 en Bogotá. Desde 1914, el periódico dejó de incluir el complemento en su título y únicamente vio la luz como: “La Patria”. En el cabezote del título se identifican como sus directores a Armando Solano P. y L. M. Vela Briceño. Historiográficamente se considera que el periódico mantuvo una estrecha relación con el partido republicano. Durante su existencia, “La Patria” incluyó en su estructura una sección de noticias internacionales en la que se reprodujeron telegramas y noticias relacionadas con el desarrollo de la Gran Guerra (1914-1918). Además, “La Patria” dio cuenta de diferentes aspectos económicos y culturales relevantes para la época, como lo serían: el Ferrocarril del Pacífico, la organización del Archivo Santander, entre otros.P33
Atopy in preschool Italian children with recurrent respiratory infections
No full textOBJECTIVES: Recurrent respiratory infections (RRI) are a common problem mainly in pre-school age, due to the presence of unfavourable environmental conditions, including early socialization, as well as the immaturity and inexperience of the immune system. The relation between atopy and RRI has been evaluated in several studies, but the results were not conclusive. This study sought to determine the impact of atopy, the immunological and clinical profile in 297 Italian children with RRI, younger than 6 years. METHODS: All children were assessed for blood leukocyte count, serum immunoglobulin level, IgG subclasses, lymphocytic subpopulations, total and specific IgE levels for common food and inhalant allergens. RESULTS: A total of 218 children (73.4%) provided a positive family history of atopic disorders. Atopy was found in 150 out of 297 children (50.5%). Early onset (<1 year) of RRI symptoms occurred more frequently in atopic children that in non atopic ones (58.9% vs 44%, p=0.02). A higher percentage of the male children (61.6%) got sick, as compared with the percentage of female children (38.4%), and the male children were more frequently atopic (67.3% vs 55.8%, p=0.03). Thirty-nine out of 297 children (13.2%) were diagnosed as having immunological disorders (IgA deficiency, IgG2 deficiency and transient hypogammaglobulinemia). CONCLUSIONS: Our results provide evidence that, in our population, atopy is a frequent condition and it's likely to be a favouring factor for RRI, while the presence of an underlying immunological disease is relatively uncommon and immune defects are mostly mild
