Nalassus (Helopocerodes) olgae sp. n. (Figs 1–12) Type material. Holotype, ♂ and 42 paratypes (21 ♂, 21 ♀) with label: Russia, Primorsky kray, Oktyabrsky District, near Chernyatino, Sinelovka Mt., 17.05.– 28.06.2014 (leg. S.N. Ivanov). Holotype and 3 paratypes are deposited in Zoological Institute RAS (St. Petersburg), 4 paratypes are deposited in Institute of Biology and Soil Science, Far Eastern Branch of RAS (Vladivostok, Russia), 4 paratypes (in ethanol) are in Zoological Department of Ege University (Bornova, Izmir, Turkey) other paratypes are in private collections of M.V. Nabozhenko and S.N. Ivanov. Description. Male. Body dorsally and ventrally black, weakly convex, moderately shining. Legs, antennae and mouthparts brown. Head widest at eye level. Eyes large, moderately convex. Ratio of head width at level of eyes to distance between eyes 1.65. Anterior margin of clypeus straight. Genae strongly rounded. Outer margin of head between genae and clypeus with small sinuation. Punctation of head coarse and dense: diameter of punctures subequal to distance between them on frons and visibly more than distance between punctures around frons and on clypeus. Antennae moderately long (reaching 1 / 6 of elytral length), with 3 apical antennomeres extending beyond base of pronotum. Antennomeres 4–8 visibly thickened. Ratio of length to width of antennomeres 2–11 (antennomere 9 —ratio of width to length): 1.27, 2.25, 1.6, 1.4, 1.4, 1.35, 1.3, 1.06, 1.06 (wider than long), 1.06. Antennomere 3 2 × as long as antennomere 2 and 1.2 × as long as antennomere 4. Antennomeres 9–11 shorter than antennomeres 3–7. Pronotum transverse (1.32 × as wide as long), widest in middle, rarely before middle, 1.6 × as wide as head. Lateral sides of pronotum moderately regularly rounded, rarely slightly sinuate near base. Anterior margin weakly rounded, bisinuate, base straight or weakly rounded. Anterior angles not projected, obtuse, widely rounded; posterior angles obtuse, narrowly rounded on apex. All margins of pronotum beaded, lateral margins wider beaded in basal 1 / 4. Disc regularly convex with widely flattened lateral sides. Punctation of disc moderately coarse and dense: diameter of punctures subequal to distance between them, punctures round. Medial line usually without visible punctation. Hypomera with flattened outer margins, longitudinal wrinkles and sparse recumbent setae. Prosternal process weakly convex. Elytra elongate (1.6 × as long as wide), 2.5 × as long and 1.2 × as wide as pronotum, 1.9–2 × as wide as head. Lateral elytral sides weakly rounded. Elytra moderately convex, dorsal part of epipleural carina invisible dorsally. Punctures in striae merged in deep furrows. Elytral intervals weakly convex, with moderately coarse and dense punctation (distance between punctures 2–3 × as long as puncture diameter), 8 th interval more convex on apex and connected with elytral margin. Epipleura and epipleural carina not reaching elytral apex. Wings very short (1 / 4 of elytral length), reduced. Venation also subreduced, only 3 veins are presented: radial (R), main cubital (Сu) and short anal (A) (Fig. 7). Metaventrite (Fig. 5) with coarse, moderately dense punctation, convex in anterior half and with smooth tubercle, with T-shaped deep depression near base. Abdominal ventrites bare, with dense, moderately coarse punctation, ventrites 1–2 with wrinkles on lateral sides; ventrite 5 with very weak wide depression. Each trochanter with 1 long seta. Tibia straight, tarsi not widened. Genitalia and terminalia (Figs 8–11). Aedeagus short (about 2 mm), weakly sclerotized. Apical piece (without ventral processes) 1.6 × as short as basal piece, median lobe baculi not merged, narrow, with acute apices (Figs. 8, 9). Inner sternite VIII with deep emargination (Fig. 11). Gastral spicula with pseudo trunk (Fig. 10). Body length 8–11 mm, body width 2.9–4.3 mm Female. Antennae shorter, regularly widened to apex, antennomeres not thickened. Metaventrite (Fig. 6) with weak convexity, divided by arched-shaped transverse wrinkle. Genital tubes (Fig. 12): spermatheca and gland short, subequal, spermathecal basal duct absent, spermatheca without processes. Body length 8.7–12 mm, width 3.1–5.2 mm. Etymology. The species is named in honour of Olga Ivanova, wife of the second author. Differential diagnosis. Nalassus olgae sp. n. is closely related to N. magyari, from which it differs by its larger body (length of N. magyari 6–7 mm), widely flattened lateral sides of pronotum and sculpture of metaventrite. The new species differs from Nalassus pekinensis by sculpture of metaventrite, black, moderately shining body (N. pekinensis has brown dull body), thickened antennomeres of male. Habitat. The species was found on branches of Quercus wutaishanica, which was relatively recently recorded for Russian Far East (Beljaev 2004). The species is rarely collected on other trees (for example apricot Prunus sp.) and shrubs (Lespedeza) near the oak forest.Published as part of Nabozhenko, M. V. & Ivanov, S. Eridano Bazzarelli, Blok and Ivanov. A few considerations.
Until now the problem of relations between Blok and Ivanov was but scantily examined. Through the medium of various writings (letters, intimate diaries, poems) of the two writers, the author of the present article gives us a glimpse of the complexity of their mutual feelings: a mingling of attraction and rejection on Blok's side; admiration, love and attraction with no reservation on the side of Ivanov. It is particularly in the light of the "epistle" addressed by Blok to Viacheslav Ivanov and of the two poems that the latter dedicated to Blok to urge him to return to his quest of the Absolute that the ambiguity of their relations will be made apparent.Eridano Bazzarelli, Blok et Ivanov. Andrej SHISHKIN. The Platonic and Sufi symposion at the "Tower" in St. Petersburg : Ber- diaev and Viacheslav Ivanov.
Viacheslav Ivanov's "Tower" in St. Petersburg was the organizing center of what Khodasevich called the "collective" culture of Russian symbolism. From 1905 on poets, philosophers and painters used to meet there. Participants of the meetings called them "symposia", Plato's symposion was their model.
With the help of memoirs and personal correspondence of the time, the author reconstructs and analyses the events and the main themes discussed at the "Tower". He uses unpublished material from the archives of Viacheslav Ivanov, L. Zinov'eva-Annibal, N. Berdiaev, E. Anichkov, M. Kuzmin and P. Florenskii.
The choice of subjects — Eros, love, death, new birth — , the idea of a dialogue enhanced by philosophical and religious reflection, and the way of approaching them were an answer to the needs of the epoch and the concern for being faithful to the symposial model. The author shows how the symposion in their themes and forms is reflected in the creative work of the participants, Viacheslav Ivanov himself, L. Zinov'eva-Annibal, N. Berdiaev and M. La « Tour » de Vjačeslav Ivanov à Saint-Pétersbourg a été le centre organisateur de ce que Hodasevič a appelé la « création collective » du symbolisme russe. Les maîtres de jeu et les participants de ces réunions les appelaient « banquets », le « symposion » platonicien était leur modèle.

(The opinion of Ivanov concerning the Judaism in its religious aspect and as a specific concept of the world is only slightly touched upon from a general point of view.) Spathoderma bulbosum Ivanov & Scheltema 2008, n. sp.
Spathoderma bulbosum n. sp. (Figures 1E, 19, 20, 23A, B, 24A, 25; Tables 1–3a, 4a, b) Type material: Holotype USNM 1112620. Paratypes: USNM; TAMU; ZMUM Le1–171 (DGoMB C4/1). Type locality: Gulf of Mexico, 28°16.78'N, 87°20.10'W, 2,627 m (DGoMB stn. S38 rep. 3, 14.06.2000). Material examined: Off North Carolina, 1 specimen (Table 3a); Gulf of Mexico, 89 specimens (Table 1); Guiana Basin, 9 specimens (Table 4a); and from off Recife, 6 specimens (Table 4b). Diagnosis: Small, to 2.3 mm, opaque, widest anteriorly (bulbous), tapering posteriorly with no clear demarcation between trunk and shank in most specimens, posterium length 1/3–1/2 trunk length; without distinct fringe at knob but with clusters of long sclerites protruding from knob,>2 times length of knob. Sclerites large, thick relative to body size; bases adpressed, longer on shank than trunk. Oral shield sclerites in 3 rows. Etymology: L. bulbus & Greek bolbos, L. bulbosus -a, -um = a swelling. Description: External appearance (Figs 1E, 19A, B): Length to 2.3 mm, width to 0.7 mm anteriorly; when able to distinguish shank from trunk, posterium/trunk index appears to be 0.35 to almost 0.50; holotype length 2.3 mm, anterium 0.1 mm, trunk 1.5 x 0.7 mm wide anteriorly, gradually tapering to 10 µm. Dorsal trunk and lateral (Figs 19G, 20E, G): as in general description, ranging from 80 x 40 x> 10 µm to>300 x 60 x 9 µm, with blade lengths ~1/2 to equal to base length. Ventral trunk (Fig. 20F): most shorter, but not much narrower, than those from dorsal trunk. Shank (Fig. 20H): similar to those from dorsal trunk with same base length but thinner and with longer blade equal to or longer than base, to 380 x 75 x 7, thickest near waist. Fringing: lacking; shank sclerites covering proximal part of knob. Knob: two types: short, tapered proximally and distally, straight except proximal end with slight curve (Fig. 20I), and very long clusters, 360 x 30 x 7 µm (Fig. 20J). Radula and jaws: 1 examined. Jaws 570 x 275 µm (Fig. 19E); radula teeth 120 µm long, serrated membrane about 70 µm, medial to distal; central plate almost symmetrical, curved, to 50 µm (Fig. 19F). Distribution: Continental slope and rise: off North Carolina ~ 850 m; Gulf of Mexico 622–3,000 m; Guiana Basin 2,487 –2,842 m; and off Recife 943 m (Tables 1–3a, 4a, b) (Figs. 24A, 25). Remarks: Spathoderma bulbosum is distinguished from most Atlantic species of Spathoderma by the bulbous anterior trunk, indistinct demarcation between trunk and shank, knob with clusters of long sclerites, and very thick mid-trunk sclerites in comparison to their length. <i>Caulobothrium pieroi</i> n. sp. <p>urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act: B074FCF2-6E2E-4943-A86D-79D38AA01729</p> <p>(Figs. 4–6)</p> <p> <b>Type host:</b> <i>Pseudobatos horkelii</i> (Müller and Henle), Brazilian guitarfish (Rhinopristiformes: Rhinobatidae).</p> <p> <b>Type locality:</b> Puerto Quequén (38°37’S; 58°53’W), Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, southwestern Atlantic.</p> <p> <b>Site of infection:</b> Spiral intestine of <i>P. horkelii</i>.</p> <p> <b>Prevalence of infection:</b> 50% (2 hosts infected out of 4 Brazilian guitarfishes examined).</p> <p> <b>Material deposited:</b> Holotype (mature worm) MACN-Pa No. 779, 7 paratypes (2 mature worms, 5 strobilae without scolex) MACN-Pa No. 780/1–7.</p> <p>Additional specimens (histological sections and specimens prepared for SEM) retained in the personal collection of Adriana Menoret.</p> <p> <b>Etymology:</b> This species is named in memory of Piero Nardi Pantoli.</p> <p> <b>Description:</b> Based on 8 whole mounts including 3 mature worms (2 complete worms and 1 worm with a bothridium), and 5 strobilae (4 with mature proglottids and 1 with terminal gravid proglottid); and histological sections of 1 terminal mature proglottid.</p> <p>Clade 4: Worms apolytic, 4.7–6.1 (5.3 ± 0.6, n = 3) mm long; greatest width at the level of scolex; proglottids acraspedote, 8–22 (14 ± 5, n = 7) per worm (Fig. 4A). Scolex 755–825 (n = 2) long, 660–675 (n = 2) wide, composed of 4 stalked bothridia, facially loculate bothridia (Fig. 4A, B). Bothridia canoe-shaped, 680–850 (758 ± 63, n = 3) long, 170–280 (225 ± 16, n = 3) wide, with muscular rims. Distal bothridial surface divided by 21–22 (21 ± 1, n = 3) transverse septa delimiting 2 columns of 20–21 (20.5 ± 0.5, n = 3) loculi per column, anteriormost single loculus bearing apical sucker, and posteriormost loculi double, resulting of a total of 43–45 (44 ± 1, n = 3) loculi per bothridium; (Fig. 4A, B, 6A, B, Table 1). Bothridial stalks shorts, fan-shaped. Cephalic peduncle distinct, muscular, 300–670 (417 ± 187, n = 5) long, 100–255 (188 ± 63, n = 5) wide.</p> <p>Immature proglottids 7–21 (13 ± 5, n = 7) in number, initially wider than long, becoming longer than wide with maturity. Single terminal mature proglottid, longer than wide, 770–1,275 (997 ± 180, n = 6) long, 207–330 (278 ± 38, n = 6) wide, length to width ratio 2.7–4.8 (3.6 ± 0.7, n = 6): 1 (Fig. 4A, C). Single gravid proglottid, 1,275 (n = 1) long, 410 (n = 1) wide, length to width ratio 3.1(n = 1): 1. No detached gravid proglottids were seen.</p> <p>Genital pores lateral, alternating irregularly, 27–32% (29 ± 2, n = 7) of proglottid length from posterior margin of proglottid. Testes oval, 44–59 (52 ± 6, n = 5) long, 32–52 (44 ± 8, n = 5) wide, 33‒47 (39 ± 6, n = 4) in number, arranged in 2–3 regular columns, 1 layer deep in cross section, each column extending from near anterior margin of proglottid to posterior margin of ovary. Genital atrium short, narrow (Figs. 4A, C, 5A, B, C). Cirrus sac elongate oval, slightly curved antero-medially from genital pore, thin walled, 75–107 (93 ± 17, n = 3) long, 42–57 (50 ± 7, n = 3) wide, extending to near midline of proglottid, containing cirrus unarmed (Figs. 4C, 5B). Vas deferens extending anteriorly from beyond the sac, entering cirrus sac anteriorly. Vagina simple tubular, extending medially from ootype, passing ventral and turning anteriorly to cirrus sac, opening into genital atrium anterior to cirrus; vaginal sphincter and seminal receptacle not observed (Fig. 4C, 5A, C).</p> <p>Ovary lobulated, poral lobe 285–600 (405 ± 110, n = 6), aporal lobe slightly shorter than poral lobe, 270–590 (408 ± 115, n = 6) long, maximum width 100–160 (133 ± 21, n = 6), H-shaped in dorso-ventral view, tetralobed in cross-section at level of ovarian isthmus (Figs. 4C, 5C). Vitellarium follicular; vitelline follicles wider than long, 25–35 (28 ± 7, n = 4) long, 17–28 (22 ± 4, n = 4) wide, 1–2 dorsal and 1–2 ventral columns on each lateral margin of proglottid, not interrupted by ovary (Figs. 4A, C, 5A, B, C). Mehlis’ gland posterior to ovarian isthmus. Uterus saccate, ventral, extending to near anterior third of proglottid; uteroduct observed (Figs. 4C, 5C).
