Areas annually planted to dry (boro) season rice in Bangladesh from 2014–2018

No full text
This data contains areas annually planted to dry (boro) reason rice in Bangladesh from 2014–2018. Dry (boro) season rice is typically transplanted from December to mid-February and harvested between mid-April to June. The data was created using a new method to map paddy rice using Google Earth Engine (GEE) and the Landsat archive at 30 m resolution for approximately 90,000 sq. km on an annual basis between 2014 and 2018. Please see the related publication for more details. The pixel values range from 0 to 11111 with the following representation: 0: no rice 1: boro rice only in 2014 10: boro rice only in 2015 11: boro rice in both 2015 and 2016 100: boro rice only in 2016 101: boro rice in 2016 and 2014 111: boro rice in 2016, 2015 and 2014 1000: boro rice only in 2017 1001–1111: boro rice occurrence between year 2014 to 2017 10000: boro rice only in 2018 10000–1111: boro rice occurrence between year 2014 to 2018 Please note that the pixel value 11111 represents boro rice in all years (stable area of Boro rice). To find the total area under boro rice in any particular year, users should first find pixels representing the year of interest and along with the value 11111. For example, boro rice in 2018 is all pixels with value 10000 and those that are stable with a value of 11111. The users will need GIS software (e.g. QGIS, ArcGIS, ENVI) or GIS libraries (e.g. raster package in R) to visualize and analyze the data. </p

ENTIRE FUNCTIONS SHARING POLYNOMIALS WITH THEIR DERIVATIVES

No full text
In this paper we study the uniqueness of entire functions sharing two polynomials with their derivatives. The results of the paper improve the corresponding results of Chang and Fang (Kodai Math.J. 25(2002), 309–320) and Lahiri-Ghosh(Present author) (Analysis ,Munich. 31(2011), 47–59)

For each [Formula: see text] be an m-dependent sequence of (possibly non-stationary) random variables, where [Formula: see text] It is assumed that [Formula: see text] exists and is non-zero. Under the above and other assumptions, it is proved that for every c > 0, [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] as [Formula: see text] The above probabilities of moderate deviations results generalize similar findings of Ghosh (1974) for stationary m-dependent sequences with fixed m. </jats:p
