Dal modello bio-psico-sociale all'approccio alla salute globale
Many years after the proposal of a biopsychosocial model, today we speak of Global Health as a fundamental human right, in which health and disease are considered results of processes that are not only biological but also economic, social, political, cultural and environmental, transcending and going beyond national perspectives, as well as the interests and possibilities of individual disciplines. Adopting a transdisciplinary perspective from a transnational perspective, to speak of Global Health is to foreground the inequalities that are present in terms of hope and quality of life, disease and disability as well as health resources and opportunities both within and between countries, through research, training and intervention in care, disease prevention and health promotion. Health Psychology has the opportunity to contribute to this process by bringing to it knowledge, skills, perspectives ready to merge in an approach that focuses on problem solving and not on the disciplines that contribute to it

Physical activity between health promotion and citizenship rights
Several data show that regular physical activity has significant benefits on physical health and psychological wellbeing. The costs of sedentary lifestyles are recognized and suggest the need of working towards physical activity promotion in health policy and in other relevant sectors. Nevertheless in Italy the data show a trend of increasing inactivity rate. One of the main challenge for Sport and Exercise Psychologists is to contribute to develop health promotion programs, developing correct strategies in order to help people to establish active life style habits early in life and to maintain these behaviors throughout their lives. Examples of these programs are described in the paper

L'etica della ricerca tra scienza, conoscenza, coscienza
The reflection on ethics in psychological research is part of the more general one on psychology as a science that shows aspects of extreme openness to different paradigms. Methodological pluralism, which represents one of the most extraordinary resources of psychological science, corresponds to the responsibility of ensuring common ethical principles applicable in very different contexts. For this reason, training in research ethics in psychology cannot be limited to the transmission of a set of practices, to be approached as a fulfillment. On the contrary, ethics is a value and a goal of research, which is achieved through exchange, collaboration and comparison

The central role of palliative psychology in the different relational contexts of helping people to die|IL RUOLO CENTRALE DELLA PSICOLOGIA PALLIATIVA NEI DIVERSI CONTESTI RELAZIONALI DELL'AIUTO A MORIRE
The article analyses some emerging aspects for contemporary psychology: the relationship between palliative care, the care plan shared with patients with an inauspicious prognosis, respect for the dignity of the dying person and his or her wishes, and the management of the request to die with the help of the doctor. The Italian regulatory horizon is therefore considered in relation to each of these nodes, and that which sanctions the role of the psychologist as an elective figure with respect to the management of each step. Since the founding ethical framework of palliative care excludes the possibility of considering a request for medically assisted voluntary death while, on the contrary, the bill on euthanasia currently at a standstill in the Senate assumes that such a request involves a prior palliative course on the part of the patient, the article reflects on the possibility for palliative psychology to consider the therapeutic continuity between the two polarities, proposing to use the alternative terms, proposed by the perspective of Un Diritto Gentile to which the law 219/17 is already owed, to indicate this continuity, with the indication of the shift from helping «in» dying to helping «at» dying. Deontological and methodological issues are finally considered, emphasising the importance of palliative psychology in adopting the integrated approach required in this field of intervention, as a function of respect for the principles of dignity and self-determination of patients. It is also highlighted how, in the field of death and dying, it is not possible to disregard the recognition of the psychological and social dynamics on which the meaning and value attributed to the finiteness of life are established
Determinants and motivations to volunteer in older adults: An integrated model
Running from the active aging perspective, a study has been conducted which considers older volunteers. Aim of the study is to evaluate if the variables included in the theory of planned behaviour, the desire toward the behaviour, self-efficacy cognitions, and self-determination theory can be integrated in a model which is capable to predict volunteer activity among older adults. A national sample of older subjects from different volunteer associations and organizations have been considered. Self-determination variables were measured by the Volunteer Motivation Scale (VMS) appositely developed for this study. Results indicated that the model considered adequately fit the data, and that it can predict volunteer behaviour. The possibility to use this model to promote volunteer activity among older adults is discussed
