David Eccles House, 1973, Logan, Utah
This home was built in 1907. It was built as the residence of the second wife of David Eccles, Ellen Stoddard. Early in the twentieth century, Utah State University acquired downtown houses for use by its students, and the David Eccles home became a dorm for upper-class women in 1946. In 1956 it became Kerr Hall, a dorm for forty-five male students. It is currently owned by S.E. Needham, III, known for his various business interests throughout Logan
Logan City Fire Station, Logan, Utah
Built in 1895 and designed for horse drawn apparatuses, this building was expanded and remodeled in 1941. Service to the rest of Cache County ended in 1965. The Logan City Fire Department moved out of this building in 1974. It was subsequently torn down
Wurlitzer Company, Logan, Utah
The Wurlitzer piano manufacturing company opened its Logan plant in 1970. By 1984 the plant had closed and the building was purchased by the state of Utah to become the main branch of Bridgerland Applied Technology College. Areas inside the facility included: Rough Wood Outdoor, Storage, Kilns, Rough Mill Dept., Wood Machining Dept., Sanding Dept., Finishing Dept., Back Assembly Dept., Case to Back Assembly Dept., Keyboard and Action Installation Dept., Tuning Dept., Component Assembly Dept., Final Finish Dept., QC Dept., Production Control Dept., Packaging, Shipping & Receiving Dept., Finished Piano Warehouse, Parts Inventory Storage Cage, Maintenance Dept., Machine Shop, Fixture & Prototype Manufacturing Shop, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Main Lobby and Executive Office Area, Exec. Conference Room, Plant Conference Room, Electronic Piano Assembly Dept
