Herod or Alexander Janneus? A new approach to the testament of Moses
No full textIn recent years a consensus has emerged that the Testament of Moses is to be dated in the early first century c.e., at least in its final form, and the primary basis for that consensus is the apparently perfect match between the reference to a ruler ruling for 34 years and the years of the reign of Herod the Great. While acknowledging that much can be explained on that presupposition, I have sought to show that a fit equally as strong as with Herod may be found when chapter 6 is read as alluding to the reign of Alexander Janneus and Alexandra Salome. The figure 34 matches with as much accuracy as one could expect. But much else also matches, including the fact that his sons did reign for shorter periods than their father, unlike Herod’s sons, and that many of the details, including depictions of depravity and assumptions of religious conflict, better match what we know of the reign of Alexander, Alexandra, and their sons

Track loader kinematics
No full textWe study the problem to teleoperate a Caterpillar 973c track loader. The track loader and a system for teleoperation are described. A tested and working kinematic model used for dead reckoning is also presented. Track speed sensors combined with a rate gyro are used as input to the model. Modeling and Simulation Research of Coaxial Parallel Hybrid Loader
No full textAfter analyzing the loader duty cycle with hybrid drive theory and gaining the characteristics of loader duty cycle, an integrated started generator-ISG based coaxial parallel hybrid loader is designed. Two simulation models are built with the simulation software Cruise, one is tradition loader another is hybrid loader. The simulation result of tradition loader model compare with the test data to amend the model. To gain same accuracy, the hybrid loader model is rebuilt based on the tradition loader model. According to the “I” type duty cycle, comparing the simulation result of tradition and hybrid loader, the result shows that hybrid loader can save fuel 10.4%.</jats:p
