No full text6. Dohrniphora intumescens Liu (Figs. 11–12) Dohrniphora intumescens Liu, 2001: 105. Male: Body length 1.5–2.2mm. Frons black, width 0.68mm, wider than lateral height (1.25: 1). First row of bristles straight, antials about 2 times as far apart as either is to an antero-lateral. Second row of bristles concave, all four bristles are equidistant. Postpedicels yellowish brown, slightly pointed. Palp orange yellow, swollen, length less than 2 times of its width, with 5 apical bristles and 15–20 hairs on ventral face. Thorax. Scutum brown, with sparse hairs. Scutellum brown, with 2 bristles and 2 hairs. Wing length 1.64–1.66mm. Costal index 0.49–0.51. Costal ratios 5.30–5.33: 1.12–1.14: 1. Costal cilia 0.03–0.04mm. Veins brown and membrane greyish brown. Halter yellow. Legs yellow. Fore tibia with 4 dorsal bristles. Dorsal hair palisade of mid tibia extends 1 / 2 (0.56) of tibia. Hind tibia without isolated bristles before apex. Posterior face of hind femur with 6–10 peg-like bristles, of which proximal 2–4 bristles relative strong and apical 4–6 bristles slender, above these with 2–3 hairs just below dorsal edge. Hind coxal lobes yellow, rounded. Abdomen. Tergites uniformly dark brown, with sparse hairs. Venter and cercus yellowish brown. Terminalia brown. Distribution. China (Hainan). Specimen examined. 1 ♂ (holotype), Hainan, Mt. Jianfeng (18 ° 43 ' N, 108 ° 48 'E), 4 -IV- 1992, Guang-Chun Liu and Min Wang; 2 ♂ (paratypes), same data as above, but collected in 5 ~ 8 -IV- 1992; 2 ♂, Hainan, Mt. Wuzhi (18 ° 53 'N, 109 ° 41 ' E), 17 -IV- 1992, Guang-Chun Liu and Min Wang; 1 ♂, Hainan, Diaoluo (18 ° 39 ' N, 109 ° 54 ' E), 12 -IV- 1992, Guang-Chun Liu and Min Wang. Remarks. The character of hairs on dorsal face of hind femur was ignored in the original description of the species (Liu 2001). The species is closely related to D. modesta Disney. First row of bristles convex, antials 1.5 times as far apart as either is to an antero-lateral. Second row of bristles slightly concave, all four being equidistant. Postpedicels rounded-oval, brown. Palp of normal size, yellowish brown, with long, thick apical bristles and shorter, thinner ventral bristles. Thorax. Scutum, scutellum and pleuron yellowish brown. Scutellum with two pair of bristles, anterior bristles 1 / 2 times as long as posterior one. Wing length 2.29–2.31mm. Costa index 0.51; costa ratios 5.22: 2.00: 1.00; costa cilia 0.06–0.07 mm. Halter yellowish brown. Legs yellow. Fore tibia with 2 anterodorsal bristles. Fore tarsomeres slender. Dorsal hair palisade of mid tibia extends 2 / 3 (0.64) of its length. Hind coxal lobe light brown, with serrated hairs. Posterior face of hind femur with a group of about 12 short, subequal, peg-like bristles, which are arranged closely and irregularly in single row. Abdomen. Abdominal mainly brown, but along median thirds of tergites II–V and anterior half of tergite VI yellow. Venter of abdomen light yellow, with sparse hairs. Terminalia brown, except cercus yellow; apical bristles of cercus not enlarged. Body length 2.00– 2.20 mm. Distribution. China (Hainan) Specimens examined. 1 ♂ (holotype), Hainan Province, Diaoluo (18 ° 39 ' N, 109 ° 54 'E, 900 m), 23 -V- 2004, Guang-Chun Liu. 2 ♂ (paratype), Hainan, Jianfeng (18 ° 43 'N, 108 ° 48 ' E, 900 m), 18–20 -V- 2004, Guang-Chun Liu. Remarks. In Disney’s key (1990 a), the species runs out to couplet 39 with D. eilogoensis Disney. Scutellum yellowish brown, with 4 bristles, of which anterior 2 are a little short. Wing length 2.4–2.6mm. Costal index 0.52. Costal ratios 9.5–12: 3.6–3.75: 1. Costal cilia 0.06mm. Veins brown and membrane light grey. Halter yellow. Legs yellow. Fore tibia with 4–6 dorsal bristles, of which the upmost is the longest. Dorsal hair palisade of mid tibia extends only 1 / 3 of its length. Hind tibia without isolated bristles before apical apex. Hind femur yellow, except darker at dorsal edge. Posterior face of hind femur with 10– 14 peg-like bristles arranged in a cluster, which stronger upside and weaker downside. Hind coxal lobes triangular. Abdomen. Female: The main differences from male are as follows: Pre-ocellar bristles much higher on frons than mediolateral. Postpedicels globose, not pointed. Palp yellow, 2 times as long as its width. Wing length 2.30–2.85mm. Costal index 0.57. Costal ratios 10.25–11.75: 3.50: 1. Costal cilia 0.06 mm. Body length 2.4 –3.0mm. Postpedicels dark brown, globose, slightly pointed. Pre-apical arista long with small hairs. Palp yellow, 2 times as long as its width, with 5 apical bristles. Thorax tergite and pleuron dark brown. Scutellum with 2 bristles and 4 short hairs, of which 2 are in front of bristles and 2 are behind bristles. Wing length 1.68–1.75mm. Costal index 0.49–0.51, Costal ratios 6.5: 1.75: 1. Costal cilia 0.04mm. Veins brown and membrane pale. Halter yellow. Legs yellowish brown. Fore tibia with 6 dorsal bristles in row, of which upmost is the longest. Dorsal hair palisade extends up to 2 / 3 of tibia. Mid tibia with isolated bristle. Posterior face of hind femur with 4 peg-like bristles, which come from a process. Second row of bristles concave, all four being equidistant. Postpedicels brown, slightly pointed. Palp yellow, 2 times as long as its width, with 7–14 short apical hairs. Thorax. Scutum, pleuron and scutellum uniformly yellow. Scutellum with 2 bristles and 2 short hairs. Wing length 1.93 –2.0mm. Costal index 0.49. Costal ratios 11.0– 11.67: 2.67–3.33: 1. Costal cilia 0.04–0.05 mm. Veins brown and membrane pale. Halter yellow. Legs yellow. Fore tibia with 4–5 dorsal bristles. Dorsal hair palisade of mid tibia extends 2 / 3 (0.6) of tibia. Hind tibia without isolated bristles before apex. Posterior face of hind femur with 4–5 peg-like bristles, of which proximal 2 are the longest and the rest are smaller. Microtrichia patch of hind femur extends to the outside of the group of peg-like bristles. Hind coxal lobe is nearly square. Abdominal tergite I largely yellow, pale brown at hind margin. Tergite II largely yellow, only brown at two hind corner. The centers of tergites III–V with large triangular yellow area, the rest are brown. Tergite VI dark brown with yellowish anterior half. Venter yellow. Cercus yellow. Body length 1.8 –2.0mm.
