“Listen to me” – a systematic literature review about learning from others’ failure narrations
Full text linkThe dedicated stream of learning from others’ failure has gained increasing attention in entrepreneurship education research and—because of the COVID-19 crisis—among practitioners. The emerging literature on entrepreneurship education addresses this important phenomenon but lacks specific theoretical underpinnings; its new approaches to and empirical inquiry are one-sided. Therefore, a systematic literature review is warranted to provide a more comprehensive view of learning from others’ entrepreneurial failures and to develop a research model. Unprecedentedly, the author explores the type of research streams and gaps that can be included in a research model for entrepreneurship education research in the area of learning from others’ failures. The model is based on a systematic literature review analyzing 257 articles, which were narrowed down to 25 empirical articles focusing on university students’ learning from the entrepreneurial failures of others. The author argues that the literature lacks a holistic understanding of learning from others’ failures, especially regarding identifying new theories or new combinations of theories, and using methods other than experimentation and questionnaires. Therefore, the author develops a research model to overcome most of these gaps and identify important avenues for future research

No full textScheitern im Gründungsprozess wird als negativ wahrgenommen, birgt aber für Entrepreneure und möglicherweise Dritte, wie bspw. Studierende, Lernpotential. Zur Verarbeitung der Erfahrungen des Scheiterns sollen gescheiterte Entrepreneure u. a. Anderen davon erzählen. Die Erzählungen können bei eigens dafür konzipierten Veranstaltungen oder online von Studierenden angehört werden. Dabei stellt sich die Frage, inwiefern diese Erzählungen als Quelle von Lernanlässen genutzt werden können. Um diese Frage zu beantworten, wird eingangs das Phänomen des Scheiterns erläutert (u. a. Cope 2011; Ucbasaran et al. 2013). Den besonderen Schwerpunkt des Beitrages bilden die Theorien zu den möglichen Lernerfahrungen der Zuhörenden, wie bspw. das Lernen am Modell (u. a. Bandura 1977), das Lernen von Vorbildern (u. a. Wyrwich et al. 2015) und die Attributionstheorie (u. a. Aronson et al. 2014). Aufbauend auf der theoretischen Diskussion wird ein möglicher Einsatz und dessen Wirkung diskutiert. Das Ergebnis des Beitrags stellt ein mögliches Forschungs- und Lehrkonzept dar

Entrepreneurship Education at All Levels of Education: A Systematic Research Question-Guided Literature Review on Target Group-Appropriate Entrepreneurship Education
No full textThis paper examines the target groups and competences addressed in entrepreneurship education research. A systematic literature review was conducted, analyzing 1,419 abstracts using the EntreComp framework. The results indicate a general focus on postsecondary and tertiary education, particularly students (ISCED levels 5–8), and specific competences, such as creativity, self-awareness, and self-efficacy. The literature review highlights the current state of research, quantifies and systematizes the publications, and identifies research gaps and possible research questions for further research projects
