Lisa Robertson : Proverbs of a she-dandy
" Proverbs of a She-Dandy elaborates on a persistent theme in feminist art and literature over many past decades: a skeptical yet desirous exploration of the flâneur as a figure of agency for women. Robertson finds in Charles Baudelaire's dandy an tangible presence for old women in public spaces. " -- Publisher's website
Jean MacRae, Susan Schuppli, Lisa Robertson, Kathryn Walter
Introducing a collaborative writing project caracterized as a "textual dérive", Schuppli outlines its parameters and the background essential to the larger exhibition project involving MacRae and Walter, both centered on the act of "women walking and talking about their negotiations of social space". Includes texts by MacRae, Robertson, and a transcribed dialogue between the two artists
Partisan Bias Scores for Web Domains
Partisan Audience Bias Scores
These scores were derived from the sharing patterns of web domains by ~500K known Democrats and Republicans on Twitter. The scores scale from -1 (shared only by Democrats) to 1 (shared only by Republicans), and we excluded domains shared by less than 50 unique accounts. For more details on the scores, you can download the full paper here.
We provide our scores below for research purposes only. All scores have been rounded to four digits past the decimal, and to prevent the potential for reidentification, we do not provide the number of tweets or unique accounts that shared a domain, only the domain and the rounded score. In addition, we also provide the partisan bias scores from several other projects that we used to validate our scores.
If you use our scores, please cite our work:

Construction of rugged, ultrastable optical assemblies with optical component alignment at the few microradian level
A method for constructing quasimonolithic, precision-aligned optical assemblies is presented. Hydroxide-catalysis bonding is used, adapted to allow optimization of component fine alignment prior to the bond setting. We demonstrate the technique by bonding a fused silica mirror substrate to a fused silica baseplate. In-plane component placement at the submicrometer level is achieved, resulting in angular control of a reflected laser beam at the sub-10-μrad level. Within the context of the LISA Pathfinder mission, the technique has been demonstrated as suitable for use in space-flight applications. It is expected that there will also be applications in a wide range of areas where accuracy, stability, and strength of optical assemblies are important
"Residence at C___": Veronica Forrest-Thomson and Lisa Robertson writing Cambridge
This essay explores the much neglected late modernist poetry of Veronica Forrest-Thomson and reads it alongside Lisa Robertson’s book-length poem The Weather (2001), examining its connection to the city of Cambridge. Locating these works in the context of women writing what is commonly called Cambridge poetry, it investigates how this, as well as the surrounding features of the town, are incorporated into the poems and whether they are, as Lisa Robertson suggests, “site-specific.” Through their formal and conceptual innovations, much informed by their institutional and architectural surroundings, texts such as these create new conceptual spaces out of old traditions through formal innovation that is conceptualized as intellectual or emotional “architecture.
