Interview of Marcia Larsen on her experience working as a civilian employee in the U.S. Army Special Services in Asia
Marcia Baer Larsen, who studied art history and ceramics at the Rhode Island School of Design, talks about using her training while working at foreign postings for the federal government, including service in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. After graduating in 1964, Larsen says that she was hired by the Defense Department as a civilian Supervisory Recreation Specialist in the Special Services unit and was sent to Korea to run craft, recreation, and education programs for American troops at an R&R center and also led tours of ancient Korean kiln sites. Larsen says that she was in Korea until 1968 and after two years back in the States was sent to Thailand as administrator of all in-country recreation facilities, including golf courses and recreation centers. Larsen talks about closing centers in Vietnam and Thailand and turning the facilities and equipment over to local government and tells a story of taking an unauthorized flight with a CIA unit into Phenom Phen, Cambodia and initially being refused permission to leave. Larsen says that she left Special Services when she married and later became Director of the Southwest Craft Center. Larsen is interviewed by Ruth Stewart and Patricia Martin

Hvad er forfatterskolelitteratur?
Peter Stein Larsen, Martin Gregersen and Tobias SkiverenHvad er forfatterskolelitteratur? (What is literature from author schools?). The article offers an initial characterization of critical attitudes to and conceptions of literature from author schools, which it finds erroneous and prejudiced. It continues to present the three most notable traditions based on a survey of 44 author school débuts. The three traditions are: avant-garde, prose lyricism, and prose realism, and in this connection more specifically a selection of the techniques each tradition utilizes, i.e. conceptualism, unceremonious attitudes and the plausible character portrait.

Replication Data for: How Do Voters Hold Politicians Accountable for Personal Welfare? Evidence of a Self-Serving Bias
Abstract: "Examining a government’s record is difficult. This is a problem for voters who want to hold governments accountable. One solution is for voters to hold governments accountable for changes in their personal welfare. Yet, it is often unclear whether changes in personal welfare are caused by government policies or voters’ own actions. Since voters have a desire to protect their self-image, this ambiguity might fuel a self-serving bias in attribution. That is, voters might take personal responsibility for positive changes in personal welfare and hold the government responsible for negative changes. Based on data from election surveys and survey experiments, this article shows that voters attribute responsibility for personal welfare in this self-serving way. This hurts democratic accountability because voters do not reward governments (enough) for improving their personal welfare."
