Dynamic Activity Analysis Model Based Win-Win Development Forecasting Under the Environmental Regulation in China
Porter Hypothesis states that environmental regulation may lead to win-win opportunities, that is, improve the productivity and reduce the undesirable output simultaneously. Based on directional distance function, this paper proposes a novel dynamic activity analysis model to forecast the possibilities of win-win development in Chinese Industry between 2009 and 2049. The evidence reveals that the appropriate energy-saving and emission-abating regulation will result in both the improvement in net growth of potential output and the steadily increasing growth of total factor productivity. This favors Porter Hypothesis.Dynamic Activity Analysis Model, Energy-Saving and Emission-Abating, Environmental Regulation, Win-Win Development
Pomadasys quadrilineatus Shen & Lin 1984
Pomadasys quadrilineatus Shen & Lin, 1984 (Fig. 3d; no. 7–8 in pl. 1) Material examined. — 2 sagittae (NMMBOL 0799, 1007). Description. — Oval to oblong shape, slightly convex medial face and slightly concave lateral face. Dorsal margin slightly irregular and ventral margin rounded and minutely crenate in the middle. Crista superior well developed except for above the anterior cauda, where slightly ridgelike. Dorsal trough visible to crista superior. Crista inferior moderately developed. Cauda straight anteriorly, flexing sharply at two-thirds of the length. Ostium broad, the posteroventral corner wide, pointing posteriorly to form a lobe. Excisural notch absent. Dimensions. — OL, 7.38–7.72 mm; OH, 5.02–5.52 mm; OT, 1.56–1.67 mm; OsL, 2.52–3.09 mm; OsH, 1.76–1.88 mm. Diagnosis. — The broad ostium (caused in part by a deep trough near the dorsal margin of the ostium), with a well-developed posteroventral corner (creating a lobe) is diagnostic. The relative thinness and slender outline of the sagittae are also diagnostic.Published as part of Lin, Chien-Hsiang, Li, Kuang-Ti & Chang, Chih-Wei, 2013, Identification Of Pomadasys Species (Pisces, Haemulidae) From An Archaeological Midden Site In Nankuanli East (Taiwan), Based On Otolith Morphology, pp. 293-302 in Raffles Bulletin of Zoology 61 (1) on page 297, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.535189
Development beyond aid: Utilizing comparative advantage in the belt and road initiative to achieve win-win
Against the backdrop of anti-globalization rhetoric, this paper summarizes our joint book entitled Going Beyond Aid (Lin and Wang 2017) and discusses the prospects for development finance in the broad context of Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Based on the New Structural Economics (Lin 2010, 2011), here we focus on China’s demonstrated comparative advantages in infrastructure, e.g. in hydropower, and high-speed railways (HSR). In addition, long term orientation (LTO) and patient capital are latent comparative advantages that many Asian economies possess, and are critical for the Belt and Road Initiative. Only if these comparative advantages are utilized can these economies cooperation potentially to achieve win-win.</jats:p

Interfacial microstructure and shear strength of Ti-6Al-4V/TiAl laminate composite sheet fabricated by hot packed rolling
A two layer Ti-6Al-4V(wt%)/Ti-43Al-9V-Y(at%) laminate composite sheet with a uniform interfacial microstructure and no discernible defects at the interfaces has been prepared by hot-pack rolling, and its interfacial microstructure and shear strength were characterized. Characterization of the interfacial microstructure shows that there was an interfacial region of uniform thickness of about 250 μm which consisted of two layers: Layer I on the TiAl side which was 80 μm thick and Layer II on the Ti-6Al-4V side which was 170 μm thick. The microstructure of Layer I consisted of massive γ phases, needlelike γ phases and B2 phase matrix, while the microstructure of Layer II consisted of α₂ phase. The microstructure of the interfacial region is the result of the interdiffusion of Ti element from Ti-6Al-4V alloy layer into the TiAl alloy layer and Al element from the TiAl alloy layer into the Ti-6Al-4V alloy layer. The shear strength measurement demonstrated that the bonding strength between the TiAl alloy and Ti-6Al-4V alloy layers in the laminate composite sheet was very high. This means that the quality of the interfacial bonding between the two layers achieved by the multi-path rolling is high, and the interface between the layers is very effective in transferring loading, causing significantly improved toughness and plasticity of the TiAl/Ti-6Al-4V laminate composite sheet
Comparison of primary gas flow standard spanning the range from 2 mL/min to 10 L/min
Main text
The CCM.FF-K6.2017 comparison was organised for the purpose of determination of the degree of equivalence of the national standards for low-pressure gas flow measurement over the range 2 mL/min to 10 L/min. Four molbloc-L flow elements and a molbox1+ were used as the transfer standards.
Ten laboratories from three RMOs participated between August 2017 and January 2020 - EURAMET: INRIM (Italy); LNE (France); PTB (Germany); METAS (Switzerland); CMI (Czech Republic); SIM: NIST (USA); APMP: NMIJ/AIST (Japan); KRISS (Korea); NMIA (Australia); CMS (Chinese Taipei). The measurements were provided at prescribed reference pressure and temperature conditions. All results were used in the determination of the key comparison reference value (KCRV) and the uncertainty of the KCRV. The reference value was determined at each flow separately following the procedure presented by M G Cox [1]. The degree of equivalence with the KCRV was calculated for each flow and laboratory. This KCRV can now be used in further regional comparisons.
