Turnover intention of air traffic controllers in Taiwan: A note
[[abstract]]This study examines the relationships between job stress, satisfaction, performance and turnover intention among air traffic controllers in Taiwan. In addition, personality traits, gender and marital status are examined as moderators in the effects on the turnover intention of an air traffic controller. The results show that the turnover intention of controllers increases as the job stress becomes heavier. In addition to the direct effect, turnover intention is also influenced by job stress indirectly through job satisfaction. Job stress and job performance are negatively correlated while job performance and turnover intention have no relationship. As for the moderators, different personality traits of air traffic controllers have different effects on job stress. (C) 2012 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.[[note]]SSC
