Marriner S. Eccles correspondence related to Eccles quotations [07]
Correspondence from 1965 through 1967 between Marriner S. Eccles and friends, associates, and publishers who sent him published citations of and references to Mr. Eccles. Correspondents included economics author Irving S. Michelman; Hugh S. Norton, professor of economics at the University of South Carolina; and economist Eliot Janeway
Nan Lin and social capital
Nan Lin’s work on social capital is a significant, unique contribution. My purpose here is to explain that statement by looking at the work in historical context. Figure 2.1 is an index for much of the story to be told. The horizontal axis is time, beginning in 1975 when Nan Lin was at the State University of New York at Albany (now the University of Albany), through his 1990 move to Duke University, and on to 2010
Diffusive author(s), cohesive author: Analysis of S/N (1994)
This study indicates the ways in which various aspects of the author(s) are brought forth in Dumb type’s performance art, the S/N production. Previous research has suggested a non-hierarchical organization of Dumb type and the absence of a “privileged author” in Dumb type’s collaborative work, S/N. However, the results that I have investigated from member’s interviews on the creative process of S/N along with my analysis of the recorded images of S/N, indicate a different aspect of the author(s). First, S/N was created through, so to speak, the collective ideas of the members of Dumb type. Further, S/N has at least nine quotations from previous performances, installations, and printed writings, besides the work-in-progress technique. Explicating one of the “author functions” as given by Michel Foucault, each text has plural subjects of the author. However, it has been revealed from members’ interviews that Teiji Furuhashi had a decision-making role in selecting the members’ ideas within the performance. Since then, S/N has had plural subjects of creation; however, Furuhashi is one of the subjects of creation along with the “privileged author.” S/N has plural authors (diffusive authors) yet at the same time, it has a “privileged author,” Teiji Furuhashi (cohesive author)
Hadamard's type inequalities for s-convex functions in the second sense
Many important inequalities are established for the class of convex functions, but one of the most famous is so called Hermite-Hadamard`s inequality (or Hadamard`s inequality).
The main purpose of this paper is to establish new inequalities like those given in Theorem B、C、D and E. We make use of inequalities to figure out the best upper bound . The conclusion in the paper, which proves the result to be more convicting and useful, can also be inferred to previous results.目錄

The astrochemical observatory: Computational and theoretical focus on molecular chirality changing torsions around O – O and S – S bonds
The observation of hydrogen peroxide in the interstellar medium represents a remarkable discovery for the astrochemistry community. The prototypical role that this molecule, arguably the simplest chiral molecule, plays in the evolution of life in biospheres, is related to the chirality change transitions associated with the torsional motions around the O - O and the S - S bonds. In this paper, we present an overview on the state-of-art of possible experiments to demonstrate chiral effects discrimination and computational tools applied to peroxides and persulfides
Production of Agaricus blazei Murrill Mycelium and Polysaccharide by Submerged Fermentation
Alteration of CAIs as recorded by ³⁶S/ ³⁴S as a function of ³⁵Cl/ ³⁴S
Using new model calculations, we study the production of chlorine and sulfur isotopes in different irradiation scenarios. We demonstrate that irradiation during meteorite transit from the asteroid belt to Ear th has a negli gible influence on the sulfur isot opic composition. We analyzed five different physical assemblages: carbonaceous chondrites,
carbonaceous chondrites covered with water ice, carbonaceous chondrites covered with
water ice that contains silicates and chlorine, precursor CAIs, and water ice that contains
chlorine. For each of these five we ran simulations in which they were irradiated by galactic cosmic rays or solar energetic particles. We found that for producing sufficient amounts of ³⁶Cl, the required GCR and SEP flux densities must have been either unreasonably high on absolute terms or must had been high relatively late after the formation of the solar system. This finding casts doubt on the interpretation of the correlation lines in the diagram ³⁶S/ ³⁴S and ³⁵Cl/ ³⁴S as isochrons. Alternatively, the correlation may be interpreted as mixing between water that contains chlorine that has been irradiated (likely as ice) either by GCR or SEP particles and sulfur (without any chlori ne) with solar isotopic composition. Using this model we can explain the correlation as mixing between components, one of which was exposed to energetic particles; the conditions of this irradiation are not unrealisti
Singaporemma wulongensis Lin & Li 2014
Singaporemma wulongensis Lin & Li, 2014 Figures 6E–e, 7F Singaporemma wulongensis Lin & Li, 2014: 46, figs 7–9, 17, 20B Examined material. Holotype ♂, paratypes 8♂ and 20♀ (NHMSU), CHINA: Chongqing, Wulong, Tudi Town, Tiansheng Village, Xiaodong Cave, 29°31.853'N, 107°50.817'E, altitude 1050 m, 17 October 2010, L. Dou and Y. Lin leg. Diagnosis. Male of S. wulongensis differs from males of all other congeners with the exception of S. bifurcata by the furcate embolus (Fig. 6E–e vs. Fig. 6A–D, 6a–d, 6G–H, 6g –h); it differs from male of S. bifurcata by the narrower, longer oval bulb, the embolus with two equilong tip branches, and the embolus starts from the submesialback surface of bulb, but the embolus of S. bifurcata with asymmetric branches that origins from prolateral surface of bulb (Fig. 6E–e vs. Fig. 6F–f). Female of S. wulongensis seems also close to S. bifurcata having a similar vulval structure, but it can be distinguished by the lager “ω”-shaped inner vulval plate, and the longer, weakly sclerotized central process (Fig. 7F vs. Fig. 7D).
