The political role of the people's liberation army 1949-1973
Get PDFThis thesis is to study the political role of the People's Liberation Army from the approach of structure and function. The framework of the thesis consists of three major parts, first, the influence of Chinese traditional political culture on, and the formation of, the political role of the PL A; second, the influence of domestic political struggles and external military conflicts on the development of the political role of the PLA; and the third, the analysis of the transition of the PLA's political role from the structure and personnel arrangements of the CCPCC Within the above-mentioned three scopes, this thesis make a thorough discussion on the following: (1) The relationship between the structure of the PRC and the formation of the PLA's political role; (2) How has ideology influenced the army's political role; (3) What is Mao's viewpoint and his influence on the development of the army's political role; (4) What is the link between the army and the party, and how has this developed; (6) What accounts for the expansion of the PLA's political functions; (7) What is the influence of political factional struggles on the PLA's political role; (8) Is it political institution or military institution that controls the recruitment of the military elite; (9) What are the disparities between the military elite in handling international conflicts and what are their political considerations; (10) What is the Party's position in the army; (11) How have the Party’s important meetings and personnel arrangements influenced the rise and fall of the PLA's political role

本論文之目的在探討臺灣教師人權運動自1987年至2005年之發展歷程、興起原因，及臺灣教師人權運動未來發展之建議。又本論文之研究問題有三：一、何謂臺灣教師人權運動？其發展歷程為何？二、臺灣教師人權運動興起之原因為何？三、臺灣教師人權運動未來發展之建議為何？筆者依蕭新煌修正自Mauss所建立之「社會運動的歷史模型」的五階段論，而發展的社會運動發展歷程的三種可能論，作為本論文分析臺灣教師人權運動發展歷程之研究架構；在臺灣教師人權運動興起原因部份，則是以西方社會運動理論中的政治過程論為研究架構。本論文之研究途徑有二：歷史研究途徑和政治過程研究途徑。先以歷史研究途徑將臺灣教師人權運動，依運動先後順序，分為臺灣教權會運動、臺灣教師會運動，以及臺灣教師工會運動等階段。再以政治過程研究途徑，針對臺灣教師人權運動的不同階段，蒐集政治機會結構、草根組織力量，與認知解放等面向的資料。至於本論文之主要研究方法採文獻分析法。本論文之主要研究發現如下：
一、關於臺灣教師人權運動（1987－2005）發展歷程之主要研究發現
臺灣教師人權運動的三個階段，正好與臺灣政治轉型相互輝映；亦即：臺灣教權會運動階段－臺灣政治自由化；臺灣教師會運動階段－臺灣政治民主化；臺灣教師工會運動階段－臺灣第一次政黨輪替。又臺灣教師人權運動之發展，與民進黨政治力量的成長有密切的關聯。
二、關於臺灣教師人權運動（1987－2005）興起原因之主要研究發現
臺灣教師人權運動之「政治機會結構」，隨著台灣政治轉型的發展，而漸趨開放；「草根組織力量」則因《教師法》通過後，成員招募轉變成團體的招募，使得臺灣教師人權運動的「草根組織力量」發展成為既廣又深的立體聯結網絡；「認知解放」，其主要原因有：安全，參與運動的風險降低、有力的政治結盟夥伴、教師會取得合法地位；有效，參加運動有助於教育環境的改善。
