The political role of the people's liberation army 1949-1973
Full text linkThis thesis is to study the political role of the People's Liberation Army from the approach of structure and function. The framework of the thesis consists of three major parts, first, the influence of Chinese traditional political culture on, and the formation of, the political role of the PL A; second, the influence of domestic political struggles and external military conflicts on the development of the political role of the PLA; and the third, the analysis of the transition of the PLA's political role from the structure and personnel arrangements of the CCPCC Within the above-mentioned three scopes, this thesis make a thorough discussion on the following: (1) The relationship between the structure of the PRC and the formation of the PLA's political role; (2) How has ideology influenced the army's political role; (3) What is Mao's viewpoint and his influence on the development of the army's political role; (4) What is the link between the army and the party, and how has this developed; (6) What accounts for the expansion of the PLA's political functions; (7) What is the influence of political factional struggles on the PLA's political role; (8) Is it political institution or military institution that controls the recruitment of the military elite; (9) What are the disparities between the military elite in handling international conflicts and what are their political considerations; (10) What is the Party's position in the army; (11) How have the Party’s important meetings and personnel arrangements influenced the rise and fall of the PLA's political role

School participation of Taiwanese children with disabilities was predicted by severity of impairments, age, and environmental factors. Findings might provide school-based practitioners insights about allocation of resources and services to promote school participation for children with disabilities.

Paratypes, NIGP203503–203505, 203507–203508.</p> <p> <b>Etymology.</b> After the <i>Jiyuan</i> City, from where the specimens were collected.</p> <p> <b>Diagnosis.</b> Carapace round to oval, with a small larval valve; dorsal to middle area of the carapace ornamented with sparse micro-punctae; linear arrangements of punctae and radial lirae present at the middle to anterior part of the carapace.</p> <p> <b>Type locality and horizon.</b> Maao Formation near the Anyao Village, Jiyuan City; lowermost Upper Jurassic (Oxfordian).</p> <p> <b>Description.</b> Carapace round to oval in outline, moderate in size (L= 4.2–6.1 mm, 5.1 mm in average; H= 2.9–4.6 mm, 3.8 mm in average; H/L=0.65–0.80, 0.73 in average; Fig. 2); larval valve small; umbo in medial and marginal position (Fig. 2); dorsal margin very short and slightly arched; growth bands fine and densely distributed, 22–28 in number (24 in average; Fig. 2); growth bands ornamented with micro punctae (2–5 μm in diameter; Fig. 3); punctae sparse distributed at the upper to middle part of the carapace (Fig. 3A, B); punctae gather together to form linear arrangements at the middle to anterior part (Fig. 3C–H); linear arrangements extremely prominent at the anterior part (Fig. 3E, G, H); each linear arrangement formed by two rows of punctae (Fig. 3D, F, G); radial lirae present between linear arrangements (Fig. 3D, F, G); linear arrangements and radial lirae not prominent at the posterior part of the carapace.</p>Published as part of <i>Liao, Huan-Yu, Fang, Shao-Hua, Feng, Zhuo, Gao, Jian & Huang, Di-Ying, 2023, A new clam shrimp (Branchiopoda: Diplostraca: Spinicaudata) from the Upper Jurassic in the Jiyuan Basin, China and its biostratigraphic significance, pp. 50-57 in Zootaxa 5396 (1)</i> on page 52, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.5396.1.10, <a href="http://zenodo.org/record/10441279">http://zenodo.org/record/10441279</a>
